Hello and welcome to my Sweetseeds Big Devil XL diary, planted and harvested earlier this year. This was my first grow using an AutoPot watering system. The grow was done in CANNA Coco Pro+ with Mother Earth clay pebbles on the bottom.
Day 13 is when we saw very healthy and explosive growth. I turned on my air pump on day 14 and filled + turned on the reservoir on day 16. It's crucial that you blow room temp. air into the root zone to promote growth. The roots are well established around 2nd week and that is when you should turn on your AutoPot so that the plant learns to uptake water and nutrients from the bottom of the pot rather than from top-bottom feed.
Day 20 was the last day of Top-bottom feed. After this, the roots were already established enough to uptake the nutrients from the AutoPot reservoir which I filled with rougly 10l of water and solution.
Day 24 shows attempted FIMM which I managed to f*ck up. I ended up simply topping the plant and it quickly sprung back into full growth some four days later. Daily uptake of water was roughly 1-2 liters.
Day 30 signifies the start of the flowering process, after roughly 4 weeks of vegetation. There was no mid-flush and I just smply switched to bloom nutes.
Now, there is no yellowing on these plants, I have to apologize for the yellow tint on my old phone. You can see how the plant progresses from preflower into a full flower, with a nice stretch. She has been defoliated.
Day 53 and the whole week saw a cleaning of the res long with further defoliation. The flowering is now in full steam ahead, with nice trichs already forming on the colas.
Day 70 was an important milestone, the plant reacted well to the LST and the trellis net, top leaves started drying up and reacting to the full bud production which was nearing it's end by now. Strong citrusy woody smell, resinous colas thick as a pair of socks.
I grew this plant in Q1 of this year on Autoflower network, after making the jump from soil 11l to the autopot system. This was a first try in coco and first try with the autopot and it came out great. The buds were slightly fluffy except for the ones on top but potent nevertheless.
