Monday May 16, 2022 Watered with 1.5 gallons each. No nutes, only Cal/Mag and Manganese. In PH 6.3 PPM 385 EC 772 Out PH 7.5 PPM 1885 EC 3786 PH has been a problem. I was shocked to see my readings for the runoff. My Deionized Water and calibration supplies are coming today. I intend to calibrate my two meters. I just replaced my RO filters. Low output was a clear indicator my filters needed changing. Plus my PH kept climbing. After changing, I am experiencing problems. If this continues I will purchase Distilled Water until the service is completed on my RO system and all is one with the Gods of Water. You may notice two planters missing. The Purple Punch plants were males. They are now retired. In addition, the weather is now warmer and more humid and only going to get better. This is great for us, but the tent is struggling to maintain temperature/humidity. I had to move the Mean Well Drivers, for the Mars Hydro LED Light, to the exterior of the tent to keep heat down. The basement, where my tent is, has hi humidity as my Dehumidifier is also on it's last breath. New one coming today. Plants look great, but NOT loving my numbers. Calibration of the two meters is absolutely necessary. Performed the last defoliation and adjusted LST in an effort to open canopy and create an even playing field for all colas. I included a screenshot of my AC INFINITY Controllers, which provide very useful information in real time. May 16, 2022 I have confirmed my PH meter is no longer reading accurately and will not calibrate. I have ordered the APERA INSTRUMENTS AI209-T Value Series PH20 pH Tester Combo Kit...hope it lives up to the reviews. May 17, 2022 Well now...you need to understand that this is only my second grow and I have much to learn. It seems the Watermelon Zkittles thru me for a loop. One is/was a male... he is now in my juicer. I am baffled as to why it is so difficult for me to sex my plants. Only one day later and it was obvious, but hell I would have swore it was a female only two days ago. Okay so I got away with this one, thankfully! New Dehumidifier is in place. New PH Meter expected tomorrow. Images are in three groups respectively: 1 LED Light at 100%, camera flash enabled. 2 LED Light at 25%, camera flash enabled. 3 LED Light at 25%, camera flash disabled. I appreciate your patience with regard to my photography skills. Only my second grow and FIRST and only social presence. Having said that, one must surmise that with continued effort and commitment, my content presentation should improve. Additionally, it should be noted (please see first week comments) that the original intent was to use this as a tool for me to track and improve my growing techniques. But then I realized that it is also a way for me to give back to the same community that has helped me. So I want to provide content that illustrates my journey with this and future grows, in an effort to help others by sharing all the good and bad. I will work to improve, both for you and myself. May 18, 2022 Apera AI209-T PH20 is in use and accurate. My RO water is perfect, as I expected. May 19, 2022 Removed fan leaves and applied LST to even canopy height and coverage. Did not need watering, which confuses me, as she is pretty consistent and needs it every three days. I have been fighting humidity. In order to turn over the the entire volume of air in the tent every three minutes, I have to maintain a level of exhaust out of the tent at a pretty good clip...thus removing the humidity as well as heat and stale air. So I have added a second humidifier to the tent. I keep the surrounding area of the tent, my basement, at a level that helps the tent and keeps my home safe, but that is a delicate balance based on what is going on inside the tent. So I think you get the idea...home and health first, then cannabis. So this required some flexibility and frequent looks at my data throughout the day. Then I adjust accordingly. In all, I think I am on the right track and the second humidifier should make things alot less stressful during these last weeks, but not without a couple more refills a day. My target VPD for early flowering stage is 1.2. Once I move into mid to late flowering stage I will target 1.5. This is based off the Leaf Temperature and not the canopy or tent temperatures. May 21. 2022 Watered 1 gallon PH 6.2 straight up RO water to check runoff before feeding, as last numbers were frightening as a result of a bad PH pen...don't try to save money on test equipment, as it may cost you more in the long run. I am ordering a new PPM/EC meter as well. Numbers were respectable so I watered with 1.5 gallons of water and nutrients. I removed training aids from the plant and repositioned canopy for even height and proper air circulation. I still use metal anchors to manipulate stalks into place, but removed the white 90 degree stalk benders, that were in place to train stalks to bend 90 degrees. I was not able to realize a Surface Leaf Temperature (LST) differential in my tent with regard to canopy temperature. Ideally you should realize a SLT drop of anywhere from 3 to 5 degrees differential from canopy temperature, using Full Spectrum LED Lighting.
