My girls are officially 4 weeks old today :) My dream of having two indicas has been shattered by a leggy CD-1 starting to strut her stuff. The leaf shapes are also considerably & noticeably different, so there's that. My CBD CM is still spreading sideways and is not quite as tall as her sister... yet. On the very sage advice of @Jon_Do I did a deep dive on the weekend in to training techniques. I'm definitely planning on topping them some time this week. I'm also planning on some low stress training and using a scrog net. I'm a total greenhorn (as the title suggests!) so I need to do a bit more reading on manifolding and defoliation before making a decision on that. It certainly would be ideal to keep them as short as possible with the limited vertical space I have. Also, as per suggestion from @Larimar I've got some equipment arriving this week that will mean next weeks diaries will have temp, humidity & PH stats. Yay!

Thanks for the heads up @Jaindoh. I'm guessing that is where defoliation and LST comes in? I may have to do some more reading about how to keep the her from becoming budzilla. Do you have any suggestions on where to start? :)

@Jaindoh nebula is worth her weight in grade-a resin... I'll deep dive on the weekend. Thanks again :)

"EDIT: After doing a total deep dive, I'm confident it is a calcium deficiency and not septoria - phew! From what I've read, this is a common problem when using BioBizz nutrients and rainwater. " I think you are right. My girl with the same rainwater, the same nutrients and the same problem. I tried to solve it mixing rainwater with restful tap water (without chlorine). For the moment the problem seems to be stopped.

@Jeanpol Thanks for sharing your experience. I think BioBizz nutrients have been great for my grow but it seems to be a common problem. Unfortunately we don't have access to tap water here. Next time I'll be prepared for it though! Your autoflower is charging along! Doesn't look too far out from harvest now. Good luck :)

Same as I commented on your other grow, looks like magnesium deficiency, add cal-mag supplement, good luck!

Thank you @BeefWellingtons ! I've been reading like a mad woman for the past hour and apparently it's a common issue with the BioBizz nutrients if you're using filtered rain water, which I am :)

Hey bro , did Chief commander landed on your gow ? ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
OutForReal
OutForReal
@hufflepuff,Bro Red Vs Blue was/is awesome and I was a huge Halo player from Halo 1 to Halo ODST but after that one I stop to play other games but Call of duty. But I still got love for my Master Chief and the fun he gave me. The blue dream is a really good strain , I recommend it but I need to take a revenge on that yield but every time I play after a blue dream blunt I'm focus as hell ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’ช. And btw , your buds are gorgeous๐Ÿ‘

hufflepuff
@OutForRealbeanCarib started out as the nearest thing I had on hand at the time to use for scale in my photos. Although I am both a big Halo & Red vs Blue fan. Master Chief or Sarge, either way, pretty chuffed to have such a prestigious overseer for my grow! Also planning on growing an auto Blue Dream strain next. I hope it gives me the razor sharp video gaming focus it did for you ๐Ÿ˜Š

the two girls are looking super healthy ,as for the salt in the smart pot just wash them in water whit vinaigre after your grow they will be like new
Tonino
Tonino
@hufflepuff,yes just whit vinegar whit water 10 to 1 it will also sanitize it so 2 for 1
hufflepuff
hufflepuff
@Tonino oh that's great! I was worried I'd have to turf them and start with new pots. Just vinegar though right? No soap? I'd imagine the soap residue would leach out in to my next grow :|

@hufflepuff,well I can blame my VCDC for there attitude I made a rookie mistake and it took me some time to notice what happen but I would grow her again .Have a great grow my friend
hufflepuff
hufflepuff
@Tonino so far so good! I keep expecting to run in to problems, maybe they're saving it all for me during their flowering stage, you know, when they're teenagers. Hopefully they don't give me as much attitude as your VCDC's gave you ;)

hufflepuff
hufflepuff
@Tonino Thanks for asking and not using the phrase "but bacon!" in your question ;) For me personally, it's a matter of ethics. I prefer to do all things with as little impact on other living sentient beings as possible. If animals don't have to die to fertilise my grow then that makes me a happy hufflepuff - hence why I can live with the eggshell. My chickens are happy and don't have to die to produce them :)

I should try to do some cloning to but I am nerves about the hole thing๐Ÿ˜ณ
hufflepuff
hufflepuff
@Tonino dude, don't be! I'm a total novice and even I found it easy after reading the section on cloning on growweedeasy.com. I even made an "accidental clone" while defoliating my CD-1. Popped it in a cube kept it warm and moist for a couple weeks and now it's in the garden starting to turn in to it's own little tree :)
