Well, this is my last entry before harvest!
I've been keeping a close eye on my trichomes. The leaves of my CD-1 have a significant amount of amber, but the trichomes on the buds appear to be turning milky with one or two amber in there. My CBD CM is mainly milky on the buds with a few amber trichomes on the leaves. A few more days and they should hopefully be at that perfect balance :)
Both girls are sucking the last of the nutrients out of the leaves. You can see significant yellowing of the CD-1 leaves in one of the pictures I've uploaded. The CBD CM in the same picture doesn't appear anywhere near as yellow but there is definite deficiency showing in the leaves at the bottom of the CBD CM plant.
Next time I'll definitely be ready for the cal-mag monster in my last few weeks of flowering ;)
I've continued to use the unsulphured organic black strap molasses and will do so up until harvest. I stopped all other nutrients last week, which gives them both a good 7 day flush before the chop.
I'm almost a little bit sad that my first ever grow is coming to an end. I say almost, because I'm already planning my next one (autos!) and the promise of a new adventure takes the sting out of this one coming to an end :)
Thanks for the heads up @Jaindoh. I'm guessing that is where defoliation and LST comes in? I may have to do some more reading about how to keep the her from becoming budzilla. Do you have any suggestions on where to start? :)
"EDIT: After doing a total deep dive, I'm confident it is a calcium deficiency and not septoria - phew! From what I've read, this is a common problem when using BioBizz nutrients and rainwater. "
I think you are right. My girl with the same rainwater, the same nutrients and the same problem. I tried to solve it mixing rainwater with restful tap water (without chlorine). For the moment the problem seems to be stopped.
@Jeanpol Thanks for sharing your experience. I think BioBizz nutrients have been great for my grow but it seems to be a common problem. Unfortunately we don't have access to tap water here. Next time I'll be prepared for it though! Your autoflower is charging along! Doesn't look too far out from harvest now. Good luck :)
Thank you @BeefWellingtons ! I've been reading like a mad woman for the past hour and apparently it's a common issue with the BioBizz nutrients if you're using filtered rain water, which I am :)
@hufflepuff, i was surprised too, did not really believe in the CBD-Stuff. but the CD-! keeps what it promises. i could reduce my painkillers and have most tme a nice slepp wihout beeing stoned
Thanks @bobo420 - the advice from the community here (including you!) got me to the finish line. BTW I'm loving that deep purple colour your dark devil is. Can't wait to see how she turns out :)
@hufflepuff,Bro Red Vs Blue was/is awesome and I was a huge Halo player from Halo 1 to Halo ODST but after that one I stop to play other games but Call of duty. But I still got love for my Master Chief and the fun he gave me. The blue dream is a really good strain , I recommend it but I need to take a revenge on that yield but every time I play after a blue dream blunt I'm focus as hell 🙌💪. And btw , your buds are gorgeous👍
@OutForRealbeanCarib started out as the nearest thing I had on hand at the time to use for scale in my photos. Although I am both a big Halo & Red vs Blue fan. Master Chief or Sarge, either way, pretty chuffed to have such a prestigious overseer for my grow! Also planning on growing an auto Blue Dream strain next. I hope it gives me the razor sharp video gaming focus it did for you 😊
@Tonino Thanks for the vote of confidence! Hopefully it's not misguided ;)
She's gonna give me some new grey hairs before we're through with each other I think :P
@bobo420 Thanks! They're getting plenty of love and attention being my first time ;)
I'm keeping an eye on your current outdoor grow too. <3 those serious sixes. Southern hemisphere is coming in to Spring so I hope I can sneak a couple in to the garden here too :)
@Tonino oh that's great! I was worried I'd have to turf them and start with new pots. Just vinegar though right? No soap? I'd imagine the soap residue would leach out in to my next grow :|
@hufflepuff,well I can blame my VCDC for there attitude I made a rookie mistake and it took me some time to notice what happen but I would grow her again .Have a great grow my friend
@Tonino so far so good! I keep expecting to run in to problems, maybe they're saving it all for me during their flowering stage, you know, when they're teenagers. Hopefully they don't give me as much attitude as your VCDC's gave you ;)
Thanks for the advice @Fibro_Witch ! It might be too slow to absorb in my case. I'll definitely be adding it earlier for my next grow now that I know. Congrats again on your harvest :)
@Tonino Thanks for asking and not using the phrase "but bacon!" in your question ;)
For me personally, it's a matter of ethics. I prefer to do all things with as little impact on other living sentient beings as possible. If animals don't have to die to fertilise my grow then that makes me a happy hufflepuff - hence why I can live with the eggshell. My chickens are happy and don't have to die to produce them :)
@Tonino dude, don't be! I'm a total novice and even I found it easy after reading the section on cloning on growweedeasy.com. I even made an "accidental clone" while defoliating my CD-1. Popped it in a cube kept it warm and moist for a couple weeks and now it's in the garden starting to turn in to it's own little tree :)
