Auto CBD 20:1 (Coco HFF)

WEEK 1 – 7/5/2022 - 13/5/2022 Grow no. 7! :) It was fun growing in soil for my previous grow but I prefer growing in coco and with the new automated watering/ drainage system, the growth should be faster. I decided on Fastbuds seeds for faster flowering. And this time 2 strains in a tent. 3 Strawberry Pie Auto and 1 Auto CBD 20:1. Aiming for a quick harvest. 4/5/2022 - 3 seeds soaked in filtered water for 24 hours. 5/5/2022 - Seeds placed in paper towel and moistened with filtered water 7/5/2022 - 2 out of 3 seeds germinated. Transferred to Root Riot, kept moist with Nitrozyme (10ml/1L) and placed in humidity dome. 8/5/2022 - Light turned on and set at 50% intensity. Height adjusted to get around 250 ppfd. 11/5/2022 - Root riot transplanted to party cup filled with coco:perlite, 60:40. Great White mycorrhizae sprinkled prior to transplant. Hydroton clay balls used to cover the top to prevent the fan from blowing coco fibers everywhere. Seedlings are looking great!🙂 1L of water mixed with the following: Cal Mag - 3ml/gal - 0.8ml Micro - 1.25ml/gal - 0.3ml Gro - 0.6ml/gal - 0.2ml Bloom - 0.6ml/gal - 0.2ml Biobizz Root juice - 4ml/L - 32ml pH - 6.22 eC - 0.68

WEEK 2 – 14/5/2022 - 20/5/2022 14/5/2022 - 1L of water mixed with the following: Liquid Si - 0.5ml/gal - 0.13 Cal Mag - 5ml/gal - 1.3ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 0.6ml Gro - 2.25ml/gal - 0.6ml Bloom - 0.6ml/gal - 0.2ml Diamond Nectar - 2.5ml/Gal - 0.7 Nitrozyme - 10ml/L pH - 6.03 eC - 2.34 20/5/2022 - 1 Strawberry Pie is not doing so great. I'm not sure if it's due to over watering or some nutrient issue. I dont think it's worth giving it more time. So the original plan of 3 Strawberry Pie and 1 CBD might not be feasible. Since the 2 CBD plants are doing great, I'll just do 2 Strawberry Pie and 2 CBD.

WEEK 3 – 21/5/2022 - 27/5/2022 22/5/2022 - 1L of water mixed with the following: Liquid Si - 0.5ml/gal - 0.13 Cal Mag - 5ml/gal - 1.3ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 0.6ml Gro - 2.5ml/gal - 0.7ml Bloom - 0.6ml/gal - 0.2ml Diamond Nectar - 2.5ml/Gal - 0.7ml Nitrozyme - 10ml/L Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 0.5ml pH - 6.03 eC - 2.34 23/5/2022 - 2 plants transplanted to it's final pot. I'm using Ugro coco brick that claims to have been washed twice and buffered. But still to break apart the brick I used 5ml/gal of Calmag just in case. Coco:perlite 60:40 ratio. Watered with the balance Calmag water mixed with Great White mycorrhizae. 24/5/2022 - The girls seem to be taking up the transplant well.🙂 25/5/2022 - Automated watering system set up and 10 gallons of water mixed with the following: Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 10ml Cal Mag - 5ml/gal - 50ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 22.5ml Gro - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Bloom - 0.6ml/gal - 6ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml pH - 5.97 eC - 1.06 27/5/2022 - Should not have watered the plants 2 days ago as the plants are showing heavy signs of over watering. Perhaps I should have waited for few more days to allow the roots to get more established.

WEEK 4 – 28/5/2022 - 3/6/2022 29/5/2022 - Automated watering system set up and 10 gallons of water mixed with the following: Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 10ml Cal Mag - 5ml/gal - 50ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 22.5ml Gro - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Bloom - 0.6ml/gal - 6ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml pH - 6.26 eC - 1.06 LST done for plant 1. Plant two already has 5 nodes but the internodal space is so tight. So I'll give few more days. Both plants are still showing signs of over watering. 1/6/2022 - The plants are not looking so good even being close to the end of week 4. I really can't point my finger on the issue. High frequency fertigation has been put on hold since last week and have been watering every 3 days. But all plants have started showing stigmas. Wish they had waited another week before beginning to flower. But at least all of them including the Strawberry Pie plants started flowering the same time. Harvest time should be around the same time too. 8 Liters of water mixed with the following Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 2ml Cal Mag - 5ml/gal - 10.5ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 4.7ml Gro - 2.5ml/gal - 5.3ml Bloom - 2ml/gal - 6ml Diamond Nectar - 5ml/gal - 10.5 Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml Great White - 1tbs/gal pH - 6.27 eC - 1.11 3/6/2022 - LST adjusted for both plants and minor defoliation done to expose the lower nodes

WEEK 5 – 4/6/2022 - 10/6/2022 3/6/2022 - 5 gallons of water mixed with the following: Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 5ml Cal Mag - 5ml/gal - 25ml Micro - 2.5ml/gal - 12.5ml Gro - 2.5ml/gal - 12.5ml Bloom - 2ml/gal - 10ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml pH - 6.24 eC - 1.04 I'll be fertigating once a day for the next few days. See how they respond and then maybe 2x per day. The plants are looking so much better since entering bloom phase. 7/6/2022 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the following : Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 10ml Cal Mag - 5ml/gal - 50ml Micro - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Gro - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Bloom - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml pH - 6.08 eC - 1.18 8/6/2022 - Ill be going away for the 5 days. Hopefully the automated fertigation works without any issues and no blackout!

WEEK 6 – 11/6/2022 - 17/6/2022 14/6/2022 - I was away for 6 days and the automated watering system has been great! Came back to discover the plants have grown so much. 5 gallons of water mixed with the following : Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 5ml Cal Mag - 5ml/gal - 25ml Micro - 2.5ml/gal - 12.5ml Gro - 2.5ml/gal - 12.5ml Bloom - 2.5ml/gal - 10ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml Chitosan Olligosaccharide - 1ml/L - 20ml pH - 6.21 eC - 1.24 16/6/2022 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the following : Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 10ml Cal Mag - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Micro - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Gro - 1ml/gal - 10ml Bloom - 2.5ml/gal - 10ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml pH - 6.15 eC - 0.86 Did LST for both plants. They are significantly smaller than the Starberry Pie plants. 17/6/2022 - Minor defoliation done for both plants. Plant 2 didnt recover from the supercropping of the main cola. It has remained slanted for the past 2 days. Maybe they have stopped the flowering stretch. But the buds have started to gain in mass.

WEEK 7 – 18/6/2022 - 24/6/2022 23/6/2022 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the following : Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 10ml Cal Mag - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 22ml Gro - 0.5ml/gal - 5ml Bloom - 3.5ml/gal - 35ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml Diamond Nectar - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml pH - 6.1 eC - 0.81 The girls are doing great! The the buds are stacking up nicely. They are in autopilot mode with minimal maintenance. The automated watering system is working out great and I've been topping up the reservoir every 5 to 6 days.

WEEK 8 – 25/6/2022 - 1/7/2022 25/6/2022 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the following : Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 10ml Cal Mag - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 22ml Gro - 0.5ml/gal - 5ml Bloom - 3.5ml/gal - 35ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml Diamond Nectar - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml pH - 6.1 eC - 0.81 The grow is in autopilot mode now. Automated watering set at 6 minutes per watering, 2 times a day. Once after light on at 8.30 am, and another at 5.00 pm.

WEEK 9 – 2/7/2022 - 8/7/2022 6/7/2022 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the following : Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 10ml Cal Mag - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 22ml Gro - 0.5ml/gal - 5ml Bloom - 3.5ml/gal - 35ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml Diamond Nectar - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml pH - 6.1 eC - 0.81 7/7/2022 - the smell is becoming more prominent. Though I can't really differentiate if it's coming from the other strain. It's smells more herbal and earthy now.

WEEK 10 – 9/7/2022 - 15/7/2022 11/7/2022 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the following : Liquid Si - 1ml/gal - 10ml Cal Mag - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 22ml Gro - 0.5ml/gal - 5ml Bloom - 3.5ml/gal - 35ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml Diamond Nectar - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml pH - 5.9 eC - 0.82

WEEK 11 – 16/7/2022 - 22/7/2022 16/7/2022 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the following : Liquid Si - 0.5ml/gal - 5ml Cal Mag - 2.5ml/gal - 25ml Micro - 2.25ml/gal - 22ml Bloom - 4ml/gal - 40ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 20ml pH - 6.12 eC - 0.81 17/7/2022 - Trichome inspection done for both plants. Both plants showed 50:50 clear/cloudy with no amber visible. So after finishing the current week, I should be able to start Ripen. 10 days of Ripen, followed by 2 days of Kleen then harvest! 23/7/2022 - 10 gallons of water mixed with 5ml/L of Ripen. pH - 6.01 eC - 1.81

WEEK 12 – 23/7/2022 - 29/7/2022 1/8/2022 - 5 gallons of water mixed with 5ml/gal of Florakleen. Flush for 2 days and harvest!🙂 3/8/2022 - Did wet trimming for both plants, cut at the main stem and dried whole. Trichomes prior to harvest showed almost all cloudy with very minimal amber trichomes. 8/8/2022 - After drying for 5 days, I decided to cut them down and place them in Grove bags. The stems are still bendy but it's fine, I would rather do frequent burping than have the buds crisp dry like my previous grow. I don't think the standard advice to dry until the stems snap is a reliable method. So far I have found if I dry for that long, the buds get too dry and doesn't cure well. The terpene profile diminishes significantly. So my main indicator is squeezing the buds itself rather than bending the stem. Noticed one of the chunky buds has mold in it. This is quite heartbreaking. I'm not sure if it's due the buds itself being too thick or its my fault from poor air circulation. Could be both. Still sucks. Painful lesson to learn about better grow tent air circulation. Plant 1 - 102g Plant 2 - 122g Total - 224g Overall very happy with the yield. Quite impressive considering it only took 12 weeks from seed to harvest.🙂
