Welcome to growdiaries grow 15. This is the 1st indoor grow of 22/23 season after the summer break. It is still a little warm in my tent room and fairly low with the humidity but I'm expecting that to change in the next few weeks. I have changed things up a little since the last grow, having seen an amazing sea of green grow i have thought about giving that a bit of a go. Using 3.8L fabric pots I could cram 9 plants into the tent 0.6m×0.75m×1.5m. This grow I'm going with just 6 to see if I can keep the plants small and within a certain size for a 9 plant run. I have made a tray to keep the pots from sitting in any runoff when I'm away and it's on autofeed. This grow is going to consist of 6 autoflowers, all different strains split between 2 breeders. Each strain is going to have its own diary. The strains are. #1 AMS ak47 xtrm auto #2 AMS new yourk turbo diesel auto #3 AMS Caramelicious auto #4 Fastbuds cherry cola #5 Fastbuds strawberry gorilla #6 Fastbuds green crack This diary is for the Fastbuds Green crack auto. Fastbuds have stable genetics so they get half the tent. This strain was one of my prizes for May GOTM. There was a bit of a mistake and I got sent 2 lots of prizes so I have a extra pack of seeds. I'm thinking of running a ***competition*** for UK growers to win the extra pack of green crack seeds. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do but it will probably be guess the strains dry weight, I'll start taking answers from around week 8. Germination. Soaked the seed for 12 hours. Then placed seed in moist kitchen roll between 2 plates. 24hrs after placing in kitchen roll no tap root, the other 5 strains all had tap root. At this point i put another seed in the paper towel as a back up. 48hrs later the backup seed had a tap root breaking through so placed it into a solo cup filled with biobizz lightmix. 48hrs after placing in solo cup the seedling had broken ground. 6/9/22 is day 0. The 1st seed never made it. Viparspectra xs2000 is set at 38% power and the plant is receiving 12.5 DLI. AC infinity controller set temp max 27c humi max 75% Thanks for stopping by. Take it easy.

The 1st week of the grow is done and as this one is 4 days behind the others i didn't pot up yet. She doesn't look in great health so I'll probably pot up late into next week. Notes. Day 1. Tuesday 13/9/22 H=6cm, D=76cm, DLI=12.3, ppfd=155 She has just started the 2nd set of true leaves, really doesn't look great. I can see trouble ahead with this one. That's week 2 down. Started the week with the controller set to 26c 70% and no humidifier. Really I should have left the humidifier in there as the weather hasn't changed that much yet. Notes. Day8. That's the 3rd week done. The Green crack is 4 days behind the other 5 strains in life but way more behind in development, she has also started developing some mutated nodes. She isnt going to be a big plant. I don't think I'll be training any of this grow as I really can't see me having the space, so I'll let the plants fight amongst themselves. Notes. That's the 4th week done for the Green Crack. This plant still has issues, she is producing some funky growth on one side mainly. She is way behind with development compared to the other 5 strains in the grow and has lost the battle for space. I'm hoping she kicks into gear next week and proves me wrong. I didn't get many pictures this week but the whole grow has come on really well. Have been struggling with high RH that I have managed to get somewhat under control. The green crack has well and truly lost its battle for space this week. I'm hoping she starts flowering next week so she isn't to far behind the others come harvest. She is probably going to stretch alot because I'm having to have the light higher because the others are that far ahead. Notes. This week the whole grow has kicked into gear. Unfortunately the grow isn't turning out as I had expected. My original plan was to use these small fabric pots to see if I could grow tiny plants. I'm glad I didn't go with the original plan of squeezing 9 in the tent as these have all grown a lot bigger then I had planned. The Green Crack looks like she is transitioning into flower. I was a bit surprised with this one during the week as its somehow gained a bit more space. I think she may start showing pistils next week. Maybe got more stretch in her yet. Notes. This week has gone well. 6 plants in such a small space is playing havoc with the humidity but I feel I'm just about on it enough not to cause any rot. The green crack is so far behind the others but is creating itself some space. I'm doing HST on this otherwise she is going to get to tall. Looks like she is about to hit flower. It's been a good week for the Green crack. She has come on loads this week. She needs some form of training but I have run out of space. The Green crack is definitely developing slower then the others, and I'm beginning to worry that I have let it grow a little to wild, and I'm not going to be able to do anything about her getting to near the light. Also because she has been watered with the same nutes as the rest of the grow she has been getting less nitrogen then she should have had. I'm expecting fading leaves any day now from lack of N. That is 13 weeks finished and she still has a little way to go yet, as you will be able to tell from the pictures I didn't feed enough nitrogen for long enough and she has got close to the light. I decided to train the plant and open her out as she has the tent to herself, I used a few cups to tie the mains to. This is the last week for the Green crack. The downside to using the same nutrient feed schedule for all the plants is some want more of one nitrient then the others and this effected this one the most. Harvest report for green crack. Breaking ground to harvest was 103 days. Wet weight was 378 grams Dry weight =52g Power used for 14 weeks 5days. 288Kw used on lighting. £86.40at £0.30 a watt. Average 2.79 kw a day 139 Watts power an hour. Dry weight from this grow. #1 49g #2 37g #3 46g #4 39g #5 51g #6 52g Total 273g True g/W 273÷139=1.96g/W This was one great grow and there are a few strains I'm really considering running again straight away. I'm impressed this one made it to harvest after all the neglect. One thing I have learnt during this grow is that the idea of cramming 9 autos into my tent was a stupid idea and trialling it with 6 plants was wise.

They can't all turn out looking as we want them. Iv just had the same with my 1 and only jack herer fem. It's to be expected now and again but I still grow them on nether the less happy growing and may you have bountiful harvests 🙏

@Dropshot, I can't cull a plant, even if it's not going to amount to much I like giving them a chance.

@Fast_Buds, thank you very much. Great strain. Wish I'd fed her on a different schedule to the rest as she could have yielded a lot more. I wouldn't mind having a go at your fast flowering strains next grow.😉😉

@Wastent91, she took a while, I had a few issues with her and it slowed her down a little.

This is a real issue when running multiple strains I find. We mix a single feed which has to do all plants regardless of their needs. My next grow I'm thinking to reduce the total number of plants and do individual feeds for each plant based on needs during flower... Good luck mate 👍🏼

@Theia, I'm contemplating the same mate, thinking fewer plants will give more space to develop and I should be able to feed less plants what they need individually. I bet even if I had done 6 of the same strain some would run into issues others wouldn't.
the end.
