Welcome, I'm back took a break and grew a few auto's then I've been working on this grow to get through veg. So this was germinated by paper towel method, then spouted in solo cups followed by transplanting into 5 gallon fabric pots. The grow medium took me 6 weeks to make , which I did during the auto grow. I make compost then add supplements to make a super soil that cooks for six weeks, turned daily and kept moist. At potting I add Mycco to the top third when filling. I've been feeding rain water that I add a minmal amount of micro nutrients to keeping the ppm below 300. I water plants on a butchers scale when they are 4-5 lbs light adding a half gallon so there is no runoff. Throughout the grow they amount they drink hasn't change much and I've had no problems. No transplant shock no deficiencies. The only struggle was getting started due to low humidity levels. I had some seedings fail before I cranked up the misters, luckily I got some rain at the right time which helped a lot. That's the reason 3 plants are on day 51 and the others are on day 41. Almost forgot I started a clone just to fill a space, it's in the 4x4 and is a Chemdog Millionaire Guava. Also in the 4x4 under 2 Mars Hydro SP3000's are another 2 CMG's, 2 Ghost Train Haze, and1 Phantom Cookies Domina. The 4x4 is on day 41.
The 2x4 tent is also on day 41. In it are 2 African x Princess 89 or some such also know as Cinderella. They are under 2 Mars Hydro TS 150's
The 5x3 tent is new as is the Viparspectra xs4000 new fans blah blah ...in it are the 2 Gelato OG's and a Candy Land. This is an organic grow however my tap water is like poison so I use rain water which has a ppm of 15, almost bare so I do add a small amout of micro nutrients together with organic calmag to get the ppm up around 225. With the new XS 4000 light I'm still trying to get dialed in. It's a beast that is perfect for the new 5x3, really liking it. There is a plant height consideration with this light so I LSTed from around day 18 and topped once at the start of week 4 then super croped a couple of colas that were tall. I did this on all except the Chemdog MG, those got no lst, one was topped and the other femmed. The clone will not get any training These 3 plants in the 5x3 are 12-13 inches and are getting flipped at day 51 today September 29. Fed a compost tea today that was the third tea feed so far. I'll add a flower stage top dress to the substrate next week. OK most confusing diary ever but that's because I'm to lazy to do 3 separate ones. Enjoy my watering and changing the light schedule because that about all that going to happen for a couple of months. Unless all hell breaks loose which can happen at any moment in time. Peace
Day 44, for the 2x4 and 4x4 tents, flipped both to 12 hrs today October 2nd. They will get defoliated when the lights come back on.
Day 56 for three plants and day 46 for the other seven. I'm gonna split the difference and call it day 51 for all. It's an organic grow and they are all on the same light schedule, training is over and they will all get fed or top dressed together. Last night I top dressed and watered. Moved the 3 older plants into the 4x4 to swap the 3 shortest plants into the 3x5 under the XS4000. It advertised 22-26 inces above plants in flower. I'm having to raise it to at least 32 inches above the canopy, any lower and I get light burn and canoeing. Luckily I had 3 short plants to swap out. I won't be able to grow med- tall plants in this tent unless they acclimate to this extremely bright light. I'll add some pics when the light come on tonight.
Lights on and they are stretching, the 4x4 tent is filling out nicely. The shorter plants look really happy in the 3x5 so lm thinking 28 - 34 inches is the happy medium height for bloom depending on the strain under the XS4000
Day 55 . The clone got crowded out of the 4x4. She is in the 3x5 now, fed a 4 gallon compost tea today , then topped off with 3 gallons of calmagged water. Each pot weighing 22lbs and no runoff, we're mid stretch with plenty of nutrients still in the soil. A depleted soil mix will weigh about 17 lbs. I started with pots that weighed 27 pounds wet so with 8-12 weeks and another top dress in 4 weeks they should only need the organic decomposition already available. So other than a couple of compost teas it's just calmagged water the rest of the way, ...hopefully.
OK that's it for weeks 7/8 that were all jumbled up. Hey at least I spared you 8 weeks of veg, and I think I got all caught up here in one place, close enough for me anyway.
Wow bro. That is some DANK looking flower! Incredible yield for a five gallon bucket. Then again I'm not an indoor grower bit seeing shit like this makes me want to give it a shot!
@masterofsmeagol, it would probably be worth it that far north. It's all about: Good water, good lights, good air circulation, CO2, good substrate, good training and watering. I'm retired and spend a lot of time in the tent (probably to much). I see dwc grows where guys say they open the tent once a week, that would make me a lunatic. Word to the wise choose mold resistant strains that are advertised at 150cm height max unless you want to do manifold traing for 7-10 weeks before flipping. Just smoked a bowl and I'm rambling. Leave a couple for seed.
