1.) ILGM Northern Lights Auto: Chop Day 28th of October 2018 Day 84 from seed germination. This was my first grow. Not taste tested it yet, so will report back on that. Through the whole grow she smelled like stinky cheese. While drying, everything smelled like freshly mowed grass but smell is changing again in jars. Dry weight, 42g (1.5 ounces) which I'm happy with as a first grow. The nuggets are medium-dense. She was pretty easy to trim. 2.) Five days of drying and the vape report: smooth; Taste is very light right now - a light flower, perhaps. 3) December 2018 - I never understood what everyone was talking about when they said that growing your own was far superior (even as a first grow/beginner/noob) than even "top-self" purchased buds. WOW! I can't say enough about how superior the smell and taste is after about a month's cure. Besides the actual hobby of growing, the smell, look, and taste is far superior. It's less expensive (in the long run) and the trichomes stay on your bud and you get to experience all of the terpines. My grow is far stickier than any purchased product. Potency - pretty potent 8 out of 10 for me (I'm a light-weight. I can feel couch-locked and grinning like an idiot while my mate is just feeling relaxed); feeling a heaviness in my body (vaped half a bag) and getting a melting feeling. I think if I finished the vape bag, I wouldn't be able to type and neck pain would start to melt away. I will report back another report once it cures a little. I may also change the recommendation stars after a short cure.

Not sure since it was my first grow. I don't think it hurt anything!
Not sure since it was my first grow. I don't think it hurt anything and my plants never had a Cal-Mag deficiency.
Not sure since it was my first grow. I'm not sure I was using it during the correct time period.
Not sure since it was my first grow. I think it helped frost up the grow a little more. I will know more with my second grow, maybe.

I've grown vegetables and other plants and I think I have somewhat of a green-ish thumb but this was my first grow of this type of plant (and it was an automatic flowering plant which are supposed to be more difficult). NL was my biggest yielding of the three plants @ 1.5 ounces. She was easy to take care of, fed and watered when she looked like she needed it. Well, happy growing to all!

Grow Questions

Do my girls look healthy? There's small lighter green patches here and there and some leaf curl. I might be a over analyzing/reacting. I'm a little paranoid but autos supposed to be finicky and stunt easily, and can go from bad to worse very quickly, from everything I've read.Thx

Everything looks fine. I would stop all feeding, with 5 gallon of soil you will not need to feed much, if anything at all during this run; feeding wise, if there's no sign of deficiencies, there's no need of feeding. Do try to pH your waterings to around 6.5 (6.0 to 7.0 is a fine range to fall in), that will help. You might be over watering a bit, try 2 glasses of water every 5 days or so, until the soil is dry again.

@iMeus, Awe, thank you so much! It was my first grow, and very easy even for a novice like me. She was the largest yielding and just a lovely plant! Happy growing!

@ToadieK, Coffee is pretty acidic so my thoughts were that it would be a natural way to bring down the acidity of the soil by a little bit without shocking the plant? It may just all be in my head but it doesn't seem to be hurting my plants and no nutrient deficiencies have shown up during the whole grow. I do it for my vegetable garden and they always seem to like it, hehe.

@@Athos & SpinnerGrow, Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I will try to PH my water (I guess I will have to buy the PH kits) and try not to provide any more nutes and see what happens for the next couple of weeks. Happy growing!

This is not a grow question but... how do I "like" other growers' diaries?

Thanks! On a side note: I've decided to separate the Amnesia Haze auto flowering (seed also from ILGM). The AH seeds are not germinating as fast or as well as the Northern lights auto. Hopefully AH seed #2 will sprout. Also: I hope that my HLG 100 QB 4000K is good for both vegging and flowering for 2 auto flowering plants in a 4'x4' grow tent.
