Week 5: I think she's still a little small for week 5, however, she seems healthy, & leaves growing vigorously; Diluting leftover coffee and added only a tiny amount of CalMag and Big Bloom and I think she likes it. Hopefully she'll start the flowering stretch soon. -I think she's finally in the pre-flowering stage and wk6 will most likely be the flowering stage. Smell is increasing and getting strong. Need to get my carbon filter in there. -Tucking and continuing the LST-ing and spreading. Since she's still so short and stout, trying to get her to at least spread out as much as possible. Don't want to do anything drastic going into the flowering stage. -Day35: Last day of wk 5, looks like she's still in the veg state and probably will be for another week. Can't wait until she gets in the flowering stage already. The smell is already unbelievably strong for such a small plant, I need my charcoal filter delivered already. Until next week - happy, successful, and abundant grow to all!

Grow Questions

Do my girls look healthy? There's small lighter green patches here and there and some leaf curl. I might be a over analyzing/reacting. I'm a little paranoid but autos supposed to be finicky and stunt easily, and can go from bad to worse very quickly, from everything I've read.Thx

Everything looks fine. I would stop all feeding, with 5 gallon of soil you will not need to feed much, if anything at all during this run; feeding wise, if there's no sign of deficiencies, there's no need of feeding. Do try to pH your waterings to around 6.5 (6.0 to 7.0 is a fine range to fall in), that will help. You might be over watering a bit, try 2 glasses of water every 5 days or so, until the soil is dry again.

@iMeus, Awe, thank you so much! It was my first grow, and very easy even for a novice like me. She was the largest yielding and just a lovely plant! Happy growing!

@ToadieK, Coffee is pretty acidic so my thoughts were that it would be a natural way to bring down the acidity of the soil by a little bit without shocking the plant? It may just all be in my head but it doesn't seem to be hurting my plants and no nutrient deficiencies have shown up during the whole grow. I do it for my vegetable garden and they always seem to like it, hehe.

@@Athos & SpinnerGrow, Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I will try to PH my water (I guess I will have to buy the PH kits) and try not to provide any more nutes and see what happens for the next couple of weeks. Happy growing!

This is not a grow question but... how do I "like" other growers' diaries?

Thanks! On a side note: I've decided to separate the Amnesia Haze auto flowering (seed also from ILGM). The AH seeds are not germinating as fast or as well as the Northern lights auto. Hopefully AH seed #2 will sprout. Also: I hope that my HLG 100 QB 4000K is good for both vegging and flowering for 2 auto flowering plants in a 4'x4' grow tent.
