Well being winter in the south made germinating take a little while longer than usual. It was harder for me to keep a steady temperature even with a heating pad. Either to hot or with it off it would get to cool but finally after a few days they finally popped. I am growing 1 purple lemonade autoflower and 1 forbidden runtz autoflower both from Fastbuds. In the 2nd week since transplanting and I would say about 10bdays since 1st true leaves showed on both plants. Looking forward to experiencing the entire grow but would be lying if I said I wasn't ready to see the colors that should expose themselves nicely especially with it being winter still when flushing time approaches so I will be able to get light off Temps pretty cool and that plus the colorful genetics that already exists in purple lemonade I'm hoping for some really nice color combinations along with a potent tasty smoke.the only lst of any sort I plan to use is tucking of large fan leaves to expose shaded areas during vegetative and removal of lower leaves/flowers that receive inadequate light and just take away from the more exposed outer flowers. I will use bamboo plant stakes if needed not only for support but also to move branches away from one another to get light to as much of the plant as possible
All 3 plants starting to grow now that it's day 16 since germination. I figure to see another 14 or so days of vegetative growth before flowering starts to show. I will continue with the current nutrients for vegetative another 10 plus days before I bring in the first flowering fertilizer from fox farm which is open sesame. Along with open sesame I will use a reduced rate of grow from techniflora the usual cal mag rate as well as signal . Once I move to the second fox farm flowering nutrient I will remove the grow fertilizer from the mix.
I am seeing growth on all 3 plants each day. Plan to transition to blooming nutrients over the next few feedings since they should begin to start flowering in another few weeks.
Plants moving right along just as expected. All 3 are on the verge of flowering. I've started slowly phasing grow nutrients out and blooming in. I'm using fox farms trio of open sesame ,beastie bloom, and change ching for. The first time. Uses just a Quarter tsp. Per gal. Very little. I'm also using humboldt cal mag as well as signal for terp. Enhancement
Forbidden runtz has finally improved from a manganese deficiency. I added an extra feeding of micros just to that plant and it seems to have done the trick. The 2 purple lemonade plants show a little purple color in the early stages of flower so im hoping to see alot more as the buds continue to grow.
Starting to see small amounts of purple on some upper sugar leaves on purple lemonade 1. Purple lemonade 1 and 2 have some purple color among the flowers. Forbidden runtz has also started to show a small amount of color buy the most noticeable among all 3 plants is the smell of Forbidden runtz. Unbelievable fruity Danny aroma. Can't wait for the increasing odor as flowering continues. The plants look like the buds are beginning to produce actual bud leaf and fewer hairs so I expect to see the size in both length and density increase much quicker.
All 3 plants showing more purple color each day. Trichome production has explode in the past few days and the smell gets stronger each day. Looking forward to the last few weeks of the grow and seeing how much the buds are going to fatten up.
I posted 3 days ago bud decided to go ahead and post again just to show some of the pictures from today.hints of purple but im still hoping to see alot more color when I start flushing and the buds are nearing harvest. Still a little while longer though.
Buds fattening up daily.im still looking to see more purple shades to start showing especially when the flushing starts In the near future. Purple lemonade autoflower 1 is the closest to harvest looking at 75% cloudy trichomes and 90% orange rather than white hairs. Still a week or so away. The remaining Purple lemonade autoflower is double that time 10 days to 2 weeks until she's ready.
I'm so glad I'm being patient with this harvest time approaching. Both purple lemonade plants are showing 75 % or more cloudy trichomes but slowly adding more cloudy ones each day. It's slow enough that the past few days the flowers still fattened up but the trichomes didn't change a huge amount. I will continue being as patient as possible each day I check trichomes. I'm trying so hard not to touch them until at least 90% cloudy 10%amber.1
Day 71 since germination. I flushed one more time and plan on 48 hours in the cool dark with harvest planned for day 75.smells insane fruity lemon sour all in one so covered with trichomes some purple along with increasing purple over the entire flower each days very dense heavy flowers.fastbuds never dissapoints
So glad I didn't harvest 10 days ago with 80% cloudy 20% clear trichomes. The final 10 days each plant really put on a show fattening up buds like crazy and turning more purple. Everyone that grows will love growing this auto strain.
