First week bloom, she grew well, not too much stretch yet and hope she's got at least another 15 to 20 cm in her. Did some LST and defoliation (lollipopping? in prep for 2weeks holiday, think I got to give water more often but less much and keep that top half moist... as currently it takes her a week to dry up most of the pot. Added a little biobizz bloom to her water this week. Do my leaves look healthy? She looks a little light green...

I have a single mushroom growing on the soil. Not sure if it's good or bad sign.

8 weeks from germination, should I flip or let her grow more? I'm leaning to let her grow more for extra yield, as I have more than a mtr vertical space left

I've grown this strain. At 25cm you have a good way to go yet before of I'd see any issues with height. Even at 2x size if you were flip now it'd be in the 75cm range. Jst keep temps in a 4c window during the pre flower window to avoid any stretching. So, what I do in cold parts of the yr. I make it so the 12hrs on "comes on the coldest part of your day and vice versa. This will help keep temp steady. Also by rasing your exhaust up and down when it's hot/ cold to control temps and you should be able to judge in future what size your grow will be. Keeping in mind what your growing, as you know sativas tend to grow up, and indicas have more girt. Lots of factors. But in saying all this, it really is down to your pref. And does she have enough shoots, node growth and so on can all be controlled with defoliation and LST, HST, and topping and others. Good Growing

you probably would have removed vast majority of that at some point, but stripping it back this much is not a net-positve. i know some "methods" call for it, but that's some inductive reasoning. how much light is now passing through the canopy totally unused compared to before? how much less surface area is being struck by photons. the plant gets energy to build molecules from photosynthesis. It gets the building blocks from the atmospher (carbon) and the nutrients from roots. the same mass that goes in has to come out. the same energy needed for that growth to occur is directly proportional and must balance out on both ends too. Reducing energy reduces received potential growth. plus, leaves perform other functions like storage and transpiration. Let it grow out and slowly remove the most shielded leaves.. maybe some early lollipop with scrog, but only if you maintain a full canopy too. if not, wait 2-3 days, it doesn't take long. To put things in perspective, this too is not a huge net-loss. This plany will fill in those gaps within a week. you may even need to remove a few leaves here and there later on for airflow reasons - less is more still applies. doing things a bit more piecemeal also reduces stress on plants... if healthy and happy this also usually does not cause a problem. i've broken the "1/3rd" rule several times with no repercussions, lol. (never take off more than 1/3rd of the plant mass) so, even if you compared clones of photoperiods to try to see the difference i bet it'd be small - but with a big enough sample, you;d see statistically significant difference in yields... life is a chemical equation and it has to balance out.. creating a bottleneck or reducing energy potential is going to be very hard to overcome for a net positive result by improving something else related to the outcome by doing "it" whatver it may be. some of the methods out there are more about making someone feel a bit more involved than they actually are in the end result. A lot of stuff amounts to sophistry... sounds good but not quite true or 'best' to do.

Day 11 bloom. Growth has been slowish I think due to compact soil, maybe PH issue. Using biotabs and light biobizz. Since switch, the leaves have turned much lighter green with few leave edges turning yellowish and can see more veins. Is this a feeding issue or other indication?

Your leaves are healthy. You don't want dark green in flowering. The green tells how much nitrogen is in the plant. Heavy nitrogen in flowering will hinder Cola development. The one thing I did see was your light might be too close too soon. Also you should of waiting on a heavy defoliation like you did till after they stretch. So 2nd to 3rd week into flowering. Just at the point they no longer will make new leaves. They need leaves to produce energy. So no leaves = no energy = no big colas. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Thanks for the answers to my questions. I put the light about 10cm higher to give some space she can grow into. I will carry on as before as I now understand I probably removed a bit too much too early. I did it now because I'm going on holiday for 16 days. Got the wifi pump setup and premixed light water and feed. Hopefully spot on but I can correct any underfeeding when back. For the compact soil, I'll have to suck it up and be better next grow, including a transplant. Wasn't going to poke holes in the soil for sure. Thanks again all, you are giving me the help and confidence to continue this amazing journey, I'm loving it!
