At the beginning of this week I did a very minor defoliation/lollipop as well as started training the branches under the first SCROG net. I also flipped her to flower this week. She is growing very well with no visible issues. Now that we are in spring and will be entering summer shortly, the temps and humidity have shot up pretty significantly. I'm not too worried about the temps, but the humidity is a huge issue. Now that the plants have been getting big and the humidity has been rolling in, I've been getting up to 75% RH in my tent during lights off some rainy nights! This is an issue, but it will become a major issue later in flower if not handled. Unfortunately I have little tools or methods to lower RH outside of a decent dehumidifier, and I don't think that will work as its too big to place in the tent and I'm not growing in small room. I will most likely be forced to do a heavier defoliation to lower the tent's RH and to get some better airflow towards the bottom of the plant. I'm a bit concerned with this as I don't want to stress the plants out too much and cause some sort of issue. I can't just fix nutrient deficiencies quickly as I'm organic and I don't want to have to risk a deficiency by taking off too many leaves. I'm still relatively new to organic growing so I'm still feeling out how charged my soil is at any given time. I'm going to give her a heavy feeding of craft blend tomorrow as well as a compost tea. Started brewing up a batch today with 2 tbsps of molasses, 1 tsp of craft blend, and 2 cups of worm castings and will be feeding them tomorrow. Hopefully the soil is charged enough that I don't have any deficiency issues going into flower. No pistils yet, but pretty rapid growth starting. Expecting to see pistils form next week.

What are you thoughts on the strange coloration and twisted growth on my Chemdog D's leaves? It looks like Tobacco Mosaic Virus but I'm 99% sure its not that. I am certain it is just genetics but would love to hear some opinions, especially if you've grown similar genetics.

I have been told that Chem lineage is known for having this discoloration. There are also other mosaic viruses besides TMV that could be the culprit

I run by humidifier with the calcium deposits in my water as well I think I just get lucky I don’t get the white specs…also very meticulous about cleaning all of my stuff. My issue is holding humidity even with a humidifier it’s so dry here been around 20% can only get my tent up to around 31-34…max 40% in these cold false Illinois winters. Girls are growing pretty damn good and I got the same temps. You should be good I think 👍🏼

@BeiingBreeziie, Yeah, the dust gets over everything: the walls of the tent, the wires, inside the clip fans, the plants etc so I just gave up on it. Don't feel like purchasing gallons of distilled water so I'll have to wait until I get an evaporative humidifier to replace my ultrasonic humidifier with. Its a bit of a bummer, but the plants seem to be doing just fine. 😀 The winters here are very dry and the summers are very wet, so I'll be having the opposite issue where I live very soon. Thanks for the comment and good luck!

@Brasco, Yeah, no problems really with her the whole grow! Glad it wasn't anything serious as she was a killer when finished! I would like to learn more about the Chemdog D's lineage and quirks but its seems like there's either conflicting or not enough information out there publicly. Thanks for the confirmation though friend.

I could be wrong but your leaves look like signs of sickness / virus which usually is in genetics or poor grow environment and lately 90% of the time it’s the breeders handing out infected seeds. With virus the spots / markings on leaves will over lap the stems & veins. Where a deficiency it skips over the stems and veins

@BeiingBreeziie, That's what I initially thought, but it doesn't seem that the symptoms are spreading to my other plant in the same tent. I was under the impression that viruses only really spread through clones so its worrying that seeds can do it as well. I'm pretty sure its just a mutation as I've read S1s are prone to mutation and I hope I'm right. Gunna have the clean the tent really good after harvest 😀. Thanks for the kind words as well.

Everything you seem to be doing is excellent! So I blame genetics/ breeder not caring / catching it
