Strain
She finished in under 70 days, which is a plus, but her yield was just barely over an ounce. I'm betting it's some super potent stuff, but won't know for sure for another week of cure time.
UPDATE:
I was right..super-potent...and taaaasty!
Here's how she performed:
Aroma - 10/10
Taste - 10/10
Potency - 9/10
Yield - 5/10
Ease of growing - 10/10
Time to finish - 63 days from seed - very fast
The other two I grew to maturity were a different phenotype. They were very bushy little dwarves (also with unimpressive yields), but very tasty. They were like identical twins right up until the cure. One was redder and sweeter, the other was greener and less sweet, but a little heavier.
This plant started flowering as it entered it's third week and just stretched right up to 16" and budded up. I didn't even have a chance to FIM her. The lower branches were like an afterthought..they didn't even form for a week after she started flowering.
Neither of the 2 phenotypes I ended up growing took up much more garden space than the pot they were planted in.
I planted all three in 5gallon pots and regretted it. Candy Cane didn't have a good germination rate, so I'd recommend overplanting initially to ensure you finish with a tentful. If you are planting a full tent of them and want to ensure even growth, you definitely don't want to have multiple start times because when they start stretching, they really stretch..
I'd recommend 3 gallon pots and think I could easily grow 12 of them at a time in a 4 x 4, and even 14 or 15 if I knew for sure that they'd be like this plant.π
