Was another hot, humid, wet week. 2 days were 34Β°c with 90% humidity (feels like 42Β°c )! I'm starting to feel like the weather this season is going to test this strains heartiness haha! Had rain 5 out of 7 days, usually heavy humidity driven thunderstorms in afternoon/evening. Most days no less than 3/4 inch, some days up to 2 inches! Good thing is I have not spotted any new damage to the leaves, but also have not been able to spray due to weather. Should clear up on a few more days and will spray just as a prevention.
At the end of the week got the supports setup and the netting in place. Only one horizontal net per plant so far. As they grow will add more horizontal if needed, and usually an exterior netting wrap late in the season for when the buds start to sag the branches outwards. Don't think it will beat my record (4 pounds for one plant) but theyre starting to look like they will be a BIG laiesy, and I like to be prepared/encourage them with the large support π
Oh, and if you get within 20 feet of the plants you smell them. I'm betting we see signs of flower start this week coming or next π€. Should be a late September finish so better start soon!
@Grow_for_Happiness, the Bubba Kush proved itself to me last year when it resisted the pervasive powdery mildew in our neighbourhood. But I'm still holding my breath as well until I see more Heat.
Your Bubba Kush Flowers are going to be huge! Enjoy π
@Grisly, thanks dude I'm holding my breath hoping for the same, at this rate it'll be mid October π¬. Apparently this strain is mold/mildew resistant but still π€
Beautiful plant and whole outdoor diary! Lots of great inspiration. I also grew a huge Bruce Banner #3 plant outside. You can check it out on my profile. Peace and enjoy your fruits.ππ
