9/8/18 Dropped the seed into water per CKS instructions and a phone call to them. In water for 20 hours (5 more than recommended by the person at CKS. He also insisted that the water used in germination be natural spring water. After 20 hours the seed and water was into a paper towel and on a plate uncovered. 9/11/18 Tap root showing 1/4 inch. 3 gal pot of soil wetted, drained and fluffed. Sprouted seed into hole and covered with soil and plastic wrap. 9/12/18 Seedling was beginning to push up soil at 3:00 pm. By 8:00 pm the plant had broke ground and was standing upright. 9/13/18 Official Day 1. First true leaves appeared over night already. 9/14/18 Shes doing great so far. good growth, normal leaf formation and no sign of deficiency...leaves might be a bit pale. The pot is still pretty heavy but the soil around the plant is starting to dry out. Maybe I will give a cup of water with mild nutes FF...1 Tbsp BB, 1/2 t GB, 1/4 t BDWM, 2 ml cal-mag and 2 ml Rhino around the perimeter of the plant. Water will be Ph'd to 6.6. 9/16/18 Fed her the above nutes except ph'd to 6.5. 300 ml around the plant. Only watered the small amount because the pot is still heavy. 9/17/18 She looks like she took the initial feeding well. I will probably increase the Mackerel next time nutes are needed. I am trying to prevent the nute issue her sister is currently recovering from. So far I am loving the Happy Frog soil now that I know it isn't jam packed with nutes like Ocean's Forest.
Grow Questions

Can anyone tell me what the discoloration on the large leaf in the two o'clock position in the last picture is? Is it indicative of some nutrient issue or is it simply a genetic defect? It doesn't seem to be hindering the growth of the plant. Curious and wanting to learn.

Hello ! It's genetic , I saw that in other diaries and generally you've got some leaves with "clear" parts but it does not affect the grow or anything. Hope it will help you 😁👍

Hi @Sctanley007! My bet is that something (mostly your fingers/nails) harmed the leaf a few days ago. When growing, this slight injury has become more and more visible. Nothing to worry about, you're certainly going to tuck this leaf anyway when doing your first pruning. However keep a close eye onto other leaves, if the problem spread, then I was wrong, and we'll need new pictures & informations to refine the diagnosis. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

@bobo420, Do me a solid and look at this baby. I'm too new to be any good at foreseeing what the plant is telling me. I just fed a first dose of light food yesterday but is she a bit too yellow on the new growth or will it darken as it emerges. Not sure what I think about autos so far. Knowing they run so fast doesn't give much recovery time from screw ups

Those trichomes are starting to cloud up nicely. I'll be excited to get a look at the buds once this plant is done maturing!
