So for my second grow i'll do an experiment. I'll grow the same strains indoors as outdoors. For this reason i'm gonna do two reports simultaneously. One for the indoor girls and one for the outdoors. I'm really curious because summer just hit and its gonna be too hot all the time. But we'll see how it goes. And it will be my first time growing automatics. Day 1: Soaking the seeds in a glass of water and will be planting them in starter pellets tomorrow. Day 2: Put the seeds in the starter and potted the starter in small seedling pots with Biobizz allmix. Got them a little spray with Phd water with a bit of silica added. I hope the silica helps them with dealing with heat. I just let them do their thing. They are inside the tent with lights out until they sprout. Just checking on them twice a day and mist them when needed. Temps at 25-26° and humidity sits at 60° inside their domes. Day 3: Oh Wow! One of each kind has already shown up! Noah, get the Ark ready😂 Two more to sprout. Looking good so far! Day 5: Looking good, although its way too hot. between 28 - 32° during the day. I guess i'll add some co2 to help them with heat when they are bigger. Three are looking great, one has not sprouted yet and one needs to get her head up. Day 6: All of them have sprouted and unfold their first pair of leaves. I gave them their first sip of 1dl ph'd water with root juice, aloe vera, mykos and bacteria to support root developement. Letting the microorganisms prepare the soil for welcoming the new roots. This is the only sip they'll get this week. Aside from that they are misted 3-4 times a day.

First Day of Week 1: Got very lucky and all the girls germinated. Happy days! They develop good so far. Heat is the overwhelming issue at the moment. Temperatures are almost always between 28° and 31°. I try to support the ladies with a fan, additional Co2 and some silica in the water. Because of the high temperatures i have to leave the tent open during the day, which causes low humidity. But i decided to just ignore humidity for now. Just do my best with misting them and i left some water in the tent to help with that and as an aditional cooling source. I fed them just root juice, microbes, and aloe vera. They get this only once until now, the rest was just misting with phed silica water. Juice for the roots, microbes for the soil, Co2/aloe vera for heat tolerance and silica to build a thick skin. This week they'll get the feed also just once. Beside this its watering every other day with ph'd silica water and regular misting. I'l let them in the tent at least another week and then i'll repot them into an 11l pot and then they'll go out in the sun. So curious to see how each of the strains develops indoors as outdoors. 😊 Day 8: They had a horrible night with temperatures of about 35° in the Tent. Open tent is just slightly better with 32°. Until now my lighting schedule was that lights are off during the afternoon, but i guess i'll throw that out of the window. I switch to lights off at night, because i can't leave the tent open during the night. Outside temps are about 31°, i guess at the moment it may be less heat than inside. Day 9: They are still alive and looking good so far, despite the high temperatures. I'm really happy with how it goes so far, when you consider the hurdles. Still sticking to the plan of repotting them next weekend and taking them outside. Day 11: Still a night with 35° next day when i opened it up. But they seem to take it like little champs. Gave them a sip (1dl) of phed water with root juice, acti vera and a bit of bio heaven today. Still mist them 4-6 times a day with ph'd water + silica (due to the high temps) and start to spoonfeed them with sips of water every 2-3 Days. They do great and i'm more than happy with the first days.

Week 2, Day 14: So two of the girls made it outside. Normally i'd wait a week more to get them out, but we have some clear sunny days ahead with the temps not going over 30°, so i wanted to get that window for letting them adjust outside. And they were pretty healthy so i followed my gut. The were replanted in 11l fabric pots. Gave them a rather generous soil feeding with microbes, acti vera, root juice and some bio heaven to get the soil running. I also sprayed them with leaf coat to protect them against bugs and high temps. They responded well to transplanting (while the indoor girls droop) and seem happy to see the sun. I'm hyped for this first outdoor grow and can't wait to see how it plays out. Woohoo! Day 17: They are thriving and its a joy to watch them take up every ray of sunlight they can get. Day 19: We got some cloudy and rainy days ahead with lower temps and way less sun. The girls look great and i'm very happy with them. I give them ph'd water with some silica every two days and mist them on the hot days. They also get a weekly leaf-coat treatment just to minimize the risk of getting pests. I'm not sure about nutrients at the moment. They don't show signs of any deficiency. I think i'll try to give them some growfertilizer next week (a quarter of the dose) and see how they take it. Its funny to see, that the outdoor plants are way bigger than their indoor sisters. I'm curious how it will develop over the next week, due to the "bad" weather. At least heat is absolutely no issue for the next grow period, which is a welcome change of pace.

Week 3, Day 21: We had some cloudy and rainy days this week, but these girls don't mind. I took them in during heavy rain periods. They did a good stretch and this week i'll introduce 1ml of grow fertilizer once and see how they take it. That would be their first real feeding. The outdoor girls are flawless at the moment, while indoors there is the real shitshow going on. Exciting times! Day 23: They got their first feeding with soilenhancers and 1ml fishmix (0.6l each). Very curious how they'll take it. The rest of the week will be plain water. This week is cooler and still pretty cloudy. I guess the just have around 2 hours of direct sunlight a day. But at the end of the week the weather should be clear, hot and sunny again. Day 25: We got two cloudy and rainy days behind us, for the rest of the week it should be sunny and hot. So there will be plenty of sun for the ladies. They got a light nitrogen toxicity i guess, some leaves are clawing and the plants are darker than before. So i guess next week i go a little easier on the nutes.

Week 4, Day 29: We had a week with a very mixed bag of weather. Pretty cloudy with some rainstorms and now the next heatwave has arrived with temps of 35°+. I watered them with silica und sprayed the girls with leafcoat to help them with the warmth. They look good and started with preflower. There is a slight hint of a smell already and i'm really looking forward to the next weeks. They got 1 feeding with 1 ml grow fertilizer last week and i'll try two feedings with 0.5ml this week and see if they can bite that better. We'll see 😊🌱 Day 30: I gave them a generous feeding of 1l nutewater for each plant (but cut the GROW down to 0.75ml/l). I expect them to be in full flower by next week and i'm really excited. :) Day 31: The girls got 38° with full sun today and they don't really seem to bother. I love to see this. They do very good and i hope it goes on like that. Day 33: They develop fine. Flower is almost there. Pineapple Express is slightly behind the hulkberry. After another rainstorm, we got nice temps of 28° but just some sun. Yay Temps, Nay sun. But its fine

Day 35: We'll call this the first week of flower. We are straight in the next heatwave. Temps are +35°, but the seem to do just well. Love to see this. Since these girls don't seem to be as sensitive to nutrients like their indoor sisters, the will get 1ml/l GROW and 1ml/l BLOOM this week. I start thinking about giving them a bit of structural support, but i'll wait a bit more so they have to develop their own strength. But overall the outdoor grow is a very easy cruise up until now. Day 37: So they were outside during a pretty intense storm two days ago. I was worried they could breaking because of the strong winds, but they managed to get through without too much damage. I gave them their weekly feeding and if they take it well, i'll feed them again in 3-4 days. Looking good so far.

Day 49: We got some bad weather the last and the upcoming week. Temps are down, but sunshine is rare. But the girls do very well. Just a smooth cruise up until now. Day 54: We got lots of rain and a very mixed bag of weather. The high winds make me a bit anxious that they could break, but so far the stay strong. We ain't got a lot of sun, maybe 2 hours a day, but next week looks better. Anyway, they are still fine and i love how easy this grow is going so far.

While the indoor girls had a good week, it looked stormy, rainy and cold outdoors. The temps fell at night to 13° and rarely climbed up to more than 23° during the day. There was almost no sun. But they still go strong. The Hulkberry is a little further in developement than the pineapple express, but they both do fine. For the second half of the week to come the weather should be good again with temps at 30°+. Really high fluctuations of temperatures, humidity and light are the overall theme of this grow. Outdoors as well as indoors. But it worked out really good for the circumstances. Day 60: Weather still bad. Lots of rain, almost cloudy all day. At least temps are up at 25° during the day. They are fine. Big fan leaves started yellowing but i guess that is because they go wet feet all the time. Besides that they do fine.

Day 63: Welcome to week 9. The girls look great, weather is hot and rainy. Hope they don't catch budrot, but it is what is is. They smell like crazy and sparkle in the sunlight. Hope they'll be fine 😊 Day 67: Weather is hot and dry, the girls look fine and are quite loaded with juicy buds. Need to check the trichs on them, but i guess they easily have another two weeks 😊 Day 69: Nice. Trichomecheck. They are about 80% cloudy, 20% clear. Lets wait for a sprinkle of amber and then they'll be done. They smell delicious and struggle with the weight of the buds. But if we don't get strong winds, they'll manage to pull through without additional support. Yay!

Day 70: Entering the last days for the outdoor girls! Wohooo! And they do great! Despite the temps being at about 35° during the day and 20°+ during the night, they managed to pull all the way through. The trichs are about 90% cloudy with a hint of amber. I give them another week and then it is chopping time! I'm very curious how much the taste, bud density and yield will differ between the indoor and outdoor versions of these strain. Day 74: The heat is on. Perfect weather the whole week and temps in the middle to upper 90's. The girls are thriving and i am hyped for the harvest.

Happy Harvest Day!

Taste: I taste gassy, herbal, earthy and citrusy flavours. I'd say the flavour profile is not the strongest selling point for this weed. It smells and tastes good, but not anything outstanding. After curing the most dominating flavours are gas and citrus. For me it tastes like a mixture between tastes that kinda feels a bit random, rather than a nice "harmony" of flavours. Nothing really bad, but it is just not clicking for me 6/10 Effects: I really dig the high of hulkberry auto. After the first puffs, the high is accelerrating continuosly until you suddenly realise how high you really are. It pushes you forward while keeping you awake and focused. For me it leads to a very meditative state of mind which is great for being creative. Maybe not the best if you have to do serious tasks, but great for just working on something for hours (drawing, music, gaming) or just go out for a walk and just live in the moment. A clear headed high, very little body effects and just a really peaceful but active/happy high. Absolutely loving it! 10/10 Grow: I had crazy temperatureswings during this grow. But as she was sitting outside, there was nothing i could/wanted to do. So she just did her thing and that went pretty well. I just hoped for a bit higher yield than what i actually got. 7/10

The overall theme of this grow was the environment. This lady experienced environmental conditions way out of her comfortzone and did fantastic. They survived temps ranging from 13° to 37° and they took everything like a champ. We had crazy hot weeks, storms, lots of rain and they just withstanded everything mother nature threw at them. It was an easy cruise from start to finish. Just a chill experience just letting them do their thing and watching them getting bigger every week. For my first outdoorgrow i could not be happier how things went! Besides that, they were my first autos and i am so glad i chose them for this summer grow. I didn't have to worry about lighting and just needed to focus on nutrition and watering. This is a hardy strain, that delivered besides everything not beeing optimal. I grew them in Biobizz Allmix, which was a bit hot during the seedling stage, but they adapted quickly and did great during veg and flowering. I am very satisfied with their grow. Will grow them again next summer (if its also a satisfying smoke). She yielded 30grams of dried buds. Okay for the low maintance i had with her, but i expected a bit more.

So i smoked some kief/scissorhash and a few testbuds. Maybe i'll add stuff when its cured. But this is my first impression: Smell/Taste: Its funny, this outdoor girl has some differences in taste compared to my indoor grow. It also smells sweet with flavours of honey and some herbal undertones. No sour smell this time. When smoked it is like cheese and honey. Sounds weird? It is, but i really like it. Not my everyday kind of smoke but something good for the evenings when you wanna treat yourself. It has really rich flavours, that are dominating when lighting up. Like some kind of fancy dessert with an "haute cuisine"-touch. Crazy but i like it. 8/10 High: For me as a mainly sativa smoker, this batch has a pretty intense body high and manages to put me to sleep when smoking too much. Not on the uncomfortable side. It just feels like your melting into this flavour of sweet honey and cheese. Nice buzz, makes your limbs go heavy and relaxed and your mind just soars somewhere. Not my usual taste but nice to have a weed like that in the stash. Good for stress and sleeping. Not for me if i want to be productive. 7/10 Grow: Easiest grow of my life. Put it in a pot. Put the pot outside, water, feed, repeat, harvest. Great! Got 42grams for no effort. 10/10

Good detailed info. I´m having a hard time. I´m guessing I don´t have the climate for germination... I didn´t do anything for my critical seeds. And now for more tries, I´m adding stuff, tried an aquarium as greenhouse, and it´s not working. It´s like the more I follow advice, the less it works. Sorry to bother you, grtz

@Domingocito, Sorry to hear that. I don't know if i'm incredibly lucky but i just stick with some basic rules for germination. I try to keep it simple and go from there. For germination it is: Darkness, moisture and warmth and for seedlings it is: Light, moisture (mist often but no regular watering), a bit of airflow and warmth. Don't give up Growmie! You can do that!💪🍀🌱
