8/13-8/19:
Using the FC-E3000 now. 18 hour on / 6 hour off. 50%-60% intensity. 18" above. VPD during daytime has been around 0.7 kPa. Air temp 80F. Air Humidity 78%. Leaf Temp 79F. Half pint (8oz) mixture of nutrients. PH-6. TDS 367. EC 618. Fed twice a week.
8/16 - I've gone and lowered the intensity of my light (40-50%). I found some useful PAR numbers for my light from an independent source. Doing this, I think, reduced some of the stress of too much light and an unnecessary amount of heat. Air Temp. is down to 77-78F and I've reduced the avg humidity to around 68-70%. I was watering about every other day (small appropriate amounts if needed) but I think I'm close to them needing it every day. Lets see what the light and humidity change do to the plant and grow medium.
@Hydro_Hiebs, Haha. Thanks for noticing Dude! I was a stage musician for a long time and was always looking for a cool name in the vein of Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction, Porno For Pyros) because it was a play on the word 'peripheral'. Too bad I found it after I stopped performing on stage but I still like what the moniker means to me now. It does describe me to a certain extent. Let me at them!
Hey Dude, it looks splendid! The plants are strong and healthy and the stems are developing well. Maybe a little sign of overwatering but everything is within the range. I wish you a lot of fun and success.π
@Hologram, Again, thank you very much for the kind words! I'm finally using some that Horticulture degree I obtained in the late 90's. I wish I could legally grow outside, that's what I really want! I already grow so many vegetable and I wish I could grow my cannabis next to them. I hate using electricity when the sun is FREE! Stupid humans and their stupids laws. Love your plants and love your vibe! Keep on keeping on! ππ
@popcornsutton, I'm trying to remember... At this point I think I was making adjustments between 18" and 24". Light was about 50-60% and, I think, I was aiming for somewhere between 500-600 PPFD. I have now been taking more detailed notes now. I have never run my light at anymore than 60%. I just kept moving the light up and down. I was always trying to avoid high temps and light burn. I'm also still learning and getting used to using LED lights for growing. I know more about growing vegetables outside. Good luck and I hope this helps. ππ
