9/20 - 9/27:
9/20 - Still trimming and ScrOGing. I don't feel, at this moment, that the light needs to be higher than 50-60% right now. I had a night where the humidity got around 40% with the light on and some of the leaves started to taco a little. No harm done.
9/21 - Tried to move a branch out on Adeona and I heard a small snap. Right at the node junction. It did not come apart. It leaned a bit but I 'crutched' it and I hope the legendary resilience of cannabis will come into play here. I'm hoping it heals well. Shit.
9/22 - That branch on Adeona hasn't shown a single sign of damage in the least so... that's good! More bending under ScrOG lines and some more trimming. The fucking insane amount of nodes and the small spacing between them on Adeona is brutal. I don't know what it's called but Adeona doesn't just sprout two opposing branches at nodes. It sprouts four! It's dense AF! Woof.
9/24 - I did a little pulling on that branch and it seems to be completely healed. I need it to bend over a smidge in the ScrOG. I noticed a tiny amount of light poison in some of the older fan leaves (some tiny brown spots and a tiny bit of yellow tips). No big deal. Moved light up a bit and trimmed a few more leaves. Will keep an eye on that.
9/25 - I've made up my mind and I will start flowering this coming weekend. Last veg feeding will be on 9/26. I will flush the day before the switch 9/29. 9/30 will be the first new feeding and the light change. Tying and training, training and tying. Defoliate the lower stragglers.
9/26 - I flushed and fed the girls for the last time before they switch over to flowering. They are ready and I'm worried they are gonna take over the tent! I also bought a smaller tent and light to use as a starter for the big tent.
@Hydro_Hiebs, Haha. Thanks for noticing Dude! I was a stage musician for a long time and was always looking for a cool name in the vein of Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction, Porno For Pyros) because it was a play on the word 'peripheral'. Too bad I found it after I stopped performing on stage but I still like what the moniker means to me now. It does describe me to a certain extent. Let me at them!
Hey Dude, it looks splendid! The plants are strong and healthy and the stems are developing well. Maybe a little sign of overwatering but everything is within the range. I wish you a lot of fun and success.π
@Hologram, Again, thank you very much for the kind words! I'm finally using some that Horticulture degree I obtained in the late 90's. I wish I could legally grow outside, that's what I really want! I already grow so many vegetable and I wish I could grow my cannabis next to them. I hate using electricity when the sun is FREE! Stupid humans and their stupids laws. Love your plants and love your vibe! Keep on keeping on! ππ
@popcornsutton, I'm trying to remember... At this point I think I was making adjustments between 18" and 24". Light was about 50-60% and, I think, I was aiming for somewhere between 500-600 PPFD. I have now been taking more detailed notes now. I have never run my light at anymore than 60%. I just kept moving the light up and down. I was always trying to avoid high temps and light burn. I'm also still learning and getting used to using LED lights for growing. I know more about growing vegetables outside. Good luck and I hope this helps. ππ
