8/19 - 8/26:
8/19 Am I worried about internodal spacing? Maybe. Not enough stretching? Light is at 40%ish and 18". Too much light for stretching?
8/20 They seem to be doing great. Thinking about transplanting into an intermediate pot. I was going to go from these 16oz cups to 7 Gallon bags but I think I need one in between. Maybe not. I also raised my lights another 6" (total of 24") to see if they will stretch a bit more.
8/23 They still seem to be doing fantastic. The short stature and short internodes tell me that the plants are very happy. Adeona is growing much more vigorously than Abeona. Adeona has about 7 nodes and Abeona has 4 but both are the same height. I love the different phenotypes! It may be hard to train the scrog with them being so different. I may top Adeona, wait a bit and then transplant both before I top Abeona. I have read that topping before transplanting may have better results.
8/24 Topped both plants. Abeona was clipped after 5th node. Adeona was clipped after 7th node. I will feed and then wait a day or two before transplanting.
8/26 two days later and the plants are still perky and thriving. They have outgrown their 16oz. homes. I will be replanting today and then feeding them tomorrow a light meal so they can settle in their new homes. The addition of Ocean Forest to their soil mix now should give them a huge boost!
8/26 (Later) Transplant went great! They were def ready to move on! Good roots! Tomorrow I will give them a little food.
@Hydro_Hiebs, Haha. Thanks for noticing Dude! I was a stage musician for a long time and was always looking for a cool name in the vein of Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction, Porno For Pyros) because it was a play on the word 'peripheral'. Too bad I found it after I stopped performing on stage but I still like what the moniker means to me now. It does describe me to a certain extent. Let me at them!
Hey Dude, it looks splendid! The plants are strong and healthy and the stems are developing well. Maybe a little sign of overwatering but everything is within the range. I wish you a lot of fun and success.👌
@Hologram, Again, thank you very much for the kind words! I'm finally using some that Horticulture degree I obtained in the late 90's. I wish I could legally grow outside, that's what I really want! I already grow so many vegetable and I wish I could grow my cannabis next to them. I hate using electricity when the sun is FREE! Stupid humans and their stupids laws. Love your plants and love your vibe! Keep on keeping on! 😁👍
Wow buddy!! super nice buds
What an amazing grow so far - good job and well done 🤝
Happy Growing & cant wait for your upcoming weeks 🌱
Cheers, Bud Boutique 👩🌾
@popcornsutton, I'm trying to remember... At this point I think I was making adjustments between 18" and 24". Light was about 50-60% and, I think, I was aiming for somewhere between 500-600 PPFD. I have now been taking more detailed notes now. I have never run my light at anymore than 60%. I just kept moving the light up and down. I was always trying to avoid high temps and light burn. I'm also still learning and getting used to using LED lights for growing. I know more about growing vegetables outside. Good luck and I hope this helps. 😁👍
