Seeds just popped today! Placed Ak48 into soil on the 17th while im going to let the Sour Ripper germ for 1 day more. Update prior to posting, woke up on the 18th and Sour Ripper had a nice and long taproot showing. Planted her into some peat moss. Relatively decent temps throughout the week apparently too.

Gave the plants in the DWC reservoirs like a 1/3 of the AN pH Perfect set. (Not Sour Ripper and Ak) Going to monitor how they respond. Sour Ripper and Ak are just chugging along! Going to top up their Diatomaceous Earth top-coat once they dry off. Im picking up the ProMix for them once they're on their third set of trues. Friday update: Added in a Candy Creme(Seedsman) seedling to the tent. I ordered them as my main seeds when i got the Sour Ripper + AK. Planning on vegging her for 2 weeks and then throwing her outside with a transplant. Wanna see how it'll do in my climate. P.S. the powdery stuff isn't P.M. It's Diatomaceous Earth ;P

This week I really sent myy plants through hell with topping, heavy defoliation, and the start of some manifolds. Once I wake up tomorrow morning, I'll update with pictures of my DWC manifolds. I topped and transplanted my Sour Ripper and AK48 girls into some nursery pots.

All of the nutrients listed are what I've been using on my DWC babies. Sour Ripper and AK48 I have yet to do any feedings with. Simply water and LST as I wait for their full recovery from the last top/transplant. Nirvana's AK is starting to show some kind of deficiency. Being cautious not to do what I did last grow, which is overfeed, I'm going to simply monitor the rusty patches as they develop. Once I've narrowed down whether it's a nutrient deficiency or pH imbalance, I'll correct it. We have relatively hard water where I live so adjusting the pH is something I should be doing with every watering but have been negelecting to do as of late. In my DWC res.' the plants in my blue bin are starting to show signs of root rot. So I've been treating them with about 2ml of Hydroguard with each res. change. Smoooth sailing

Again, the nutrient values are for my DWC plants. Sour ripper is a trooper and AK is coming down with some kind of deficiency. Ive been mindful enough to only water them with 7.0 pH as of late, so any ideas would be appreciated. Also loving the spread and healthy light green growth on my Sour Ripper girl. The A.K. just the same, seems to be responding really well to the topping/transplant combo from the other week. Been also supplementing my DWC with hydroguard and Cal-mag plus. Cheers all! Would highly recommend sour ripper for the ease of growth. Im enjoying checking the tent every day for an update on her bountiful growth. I included a pic of an interesting mutant in a batch of seedlings i recently germed, trifolial development :0 Update 10/20: Macgyver'd up a little ScrOG. Did some defoliating, tucking, and supercropping on both A.K. and S.R. They're going to make great mothers i can tell. Even and consistent growth on both and im going to top both of them on monday when i change the res. of my DWC girls.

Popped up around last week (week 4, monday). Prior to week 4, i had been watering with tap water, which in my area is pretty hard.(7.8+ pH) Been correcting pH to 6.8 with each watering since. (2 waterings since then.) Should i just continue feeding 6.8 pH water or add cal-mag?

Hi @RunWithIt! This is Calcium-related (not Mag). This deficiency is known to appear when the pH-range is wrong. Soil has the ability to buffer your pH and roots in soil will always find a way to handle nutrient intakes (unless intake pH is really out of the range). But the coco medium doesn't have this ability and needs the solution's pH to be buffered upstream. You must apply the ideal pH range for coco, which is 5.5~5.9. Never exceed 6.0, otherwise you will encounter deficiencies and rootzone issues. Now, as mention by others, "hard water" defines a water that already contains a few nutrients (so it has its own basis EC), we're not talking about pH here, everybody needs to pH-down its tap water, but some will have a 0.1 basis EC while others can have a 0.6 EC without adding anything --> this is "hard water". If your tap water's EC > 0.3 then you probably don't need to add Cal-Mag (we suppose this high basis EC is because of different minerals, including Cal&Mag, but the only way to truly ensure this would be to see a laboratory test for your tap water). If your tap water's EC < 0.3, go for it and add a slight doses of Cal-Mag each time you water. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

Seemingly overnight, the A.K. plant overcame Sour Ripper in growth! Been a fun week as far as the plants go, havent needed to water them at all. Ill take a peak into the tent occasionally, witnessed the growth pick up exponentially this week. I noticed the pots are getting pretty light when i was taking these pictures. Will likely water them tomorrow. Notes for those interested: My last grow was RUINED from consistently overwatering and NEVER checking pH of feed water. Everything that could have went wrong as a result, did go wrong. Murphy's Law eh? Just trying to see to it that doesnt happen again. For those interested in the DWC girls, their growth has been nothing less than great 👍. It was less than two weeks ago that i went to the local hydro shop to pick up some hydroguard and damn! Is that shit good or what?! Root rot has been stripped away in almost ALL of my DWC girls, tons of white, happy root growth in their place. Ive decided that i will flip them all either halfway through this week or monday of next. Going to mother both A.K. and S.R. 2-3 weeks into flower transition. Again, great job @RipperSeeds and @Nirvana, really loving this stuff.

So i took Sour Ripper out of the tent and transplanted her into a 5 gallon outside. The powder on her leaves are Diatomaceous Earth. Ak48 is recovering well from the topping and transplanting into her new 3.5 gallon home. They were flipped on monday so now the fun begins.

Well this week into transition, two of my dwc 'girls' wound up being dudes :/ chopped em down and placed my Sour Ripper back into the tent. Also dedicated a closet space to move my plants into for flower since its been cold as all heck within my garage. I will be moving the flower girls in there within the next 3 days. Currently have some lil plants veg-ing in there under a 200w led until i feel up to it. Also, i removed the nutrient values since they are inaccurate. As stated in past weeks, those were for the DWC plants. Since they were removed, no point in having them. From now on, they will be for Sour Ripper and A.K.(shoulda been doing that from the start!) Oh well, this is my first diary, bound to mess up somewhere down the line. Also, no nutrient values for them since i havent added ANY nutes to A.K. and S.R. their entire cycle, waiting til week 3-4 of flower to start feeding them with some FF Big Bloom at half the company's recommended application rate. If they respond well, I'll up it to that. Would rather let the plants speak to me than make the same mistake unwittingly. A little footnote about the closet space; it is about 6'x3'x2' ft. No ventilation. Ive had successful harvests from it before. Difference for this grow is now im using LED rather than HPS. This will also mean my scrog will become obsolete within the tent as it ties to my tent. No big deal since ive topped em quite a bit. Probably gonna use the scrog to train some wide-and-lows in the tent during veg. No more males please aha, had to kill like 5 within the past 2 months.

Did the switch i was talking about last week, moved my tent plants to the closet and closet plants to the tent. Made a video explaining briefly my rationale behind it. Hopefully they will speed up growth in my warm closet. The next week will be an update for when ALL the plants are starting 🌼. Ill also be starting them on that Fox Farm Big Bloom i was talking about last week, and supplementing them with some Cal-mag by Botanicare as well. Cheers all, you wont be seeing me until there's visible flowers in the closet! ✌️

Gotta admit, this grow has been just peachy so far. Both Sour Ripper and AK are outperforming my expectations for them. And these weren't even the primary seeds i ordered! I can tell the next month and a half will be very productive in the closet. If you noticed, i rotated 2 more of my Gorilla Glue girls into the closet as well in attempt to get more yields. Buds have started developing all-around (starting monday). When i pinch AK's stem she has a super sweet caramel-like aroma. No real smell from the Sour ripper, but i can tell that'll change in like a week or two. Ive been slightly bending the stems on all of the plants to get a more even canopy. Really, couldnt explain how happy i am with how this is turning out :]

Ordered some Urb organics on Amazon and they sent me two four-oz bottles instead of the one i ordered. Excited about that. Hit all my plants with a moderate dosage of urb, going to be watering for the next 2-3 weeks with brown sugar water to feed the microbes until i apply more. Moved my ONLY female Original Gorilla in DWC into the tent - thats the extra bushiness in the tent. Also excited to announce that i now have an official Candy Cream mother in my veg tent. Took 4 clones off of her yesterday! Exciting times to come as i prepare for a perpetual cycle!

This week, simple as the rest of the grow thus far. Watered once on thursday with some big bloom and been enjoying watching the buds begin their true development. The pics of the frosty plant is the product of a cross between Gorilla Glue Auto(GrowersChoiceSeeds) x some random male.

So the Cal-mag issue in AK was held back for a while, but now in week 4, its pretty clear that is the problem with her. Watered her with a full 5ml dose mixed in a 1 liter bottle, pHed to 6.8 on monday. Now im just watching the progression. Not sure i logged it, but i watered her with a quarter strength dose of the same stuff two weeks ago. No Urb this week, or Big Bloom. All other plants are doing just dandy. There's been a progression in fungus gnat appearances in both my closet space, and tent. Im planning on drying out the soil in all of my plants in both grow spaces, down to about 1 12 inch from topsoil, so i can apply some Diatomaceous Earth. Other than all that, all of my candidate plants are doing awesome! Ak began to produce a noticeable stench around saturday last weekend. Kind of reminds me of grape skittles. Sour Ripper isnt producing much of a scent yet, but she's definitely in the bud-building mode. Buds are developing at an equal rate to AK48. I can tell she's going to burst in growth in about a week or so. I've ceased ALL training as of last week on thursday. Did minor lollipopping and defoliation on all of my candidate plants needing it. The plants are pretty damn short. But thats fine as im planning to do a perpetual cycle soon - plus, ive got taller girls vegging out in my tent. Also got a Candy Cream (Seedsman) mother in there too. Stay tuned for that journal in the near future. ;) Heres to being halfway there everybody! Cheers

Been a great week, worked at rave over the weekend😵. Pretty pooped as I upload this update. Anyways here's some quick status updates on the girls: Sour Ripper is coming along BEAUTIFULLY! I was gone for a solid 4 days and she managed herself well. Ak-48's Cal-mag issue is seeming to perpetuate more and more, so I'm going to do what I should've done week 3, tomorrow. Hit her with a full-dose of Cal-mag Plus by Botanicare. My GGa girls are doing pretty well too, my small 1 gallon plant is really starting to stack her buds. Cute little carrot sticks :). I remember when I initially grew the mother out, she was super finicky at first. Not finding that to be an issue with the resulting seeds. Been a super simple process with em. Cheers all! Loving this grow so far 👽😄

This week has been just as good as the last, my Sour Ripper girl is truly killing it! Shes starting to develop that noteworthy Sour Diesel scent. As you can tell from the pictures, shes just rampant with resin. My Ak is still carrying on just as well as Sour Ripper, hit her with a Cal-mag feeding which seems to have haulted her deficiency. Her buds are developing a berry scent to them. Watered both my girls once this week with some plain water pHed down to 6.8. Ive only got slightly over two weeks left before harvest begins! Woot! Smaller plants than what id hoped for but thats fine since ive got some much bigger girls in my veg. Tent now.

Last two weeks of flower for AK and Sour Ripper! To prep, i flushed Sour Ripper last night and took some trich shots. They're not too cloudy yet, so it looks like she'll be ready in the later end of next weekend. Forgot to mention when i was flushing her, her runoff water pH was ridiculously acidic @ 5.0 or something. So i corrected that. She never showed any issue of it in her foliar development. The same can be said about AK, im going to be flushing her tonight with 6.8 pH water. Ive been leaf-stripping them both slowly over the past 2 weeks. Getting pressed for time as I've already begun moving in the next crop in rotation. I really love both of these plants at this point. They both have very unique terp profiles and Sour Ripper is just overall a resin beast. Cant wait to buy from Ripper Seeds catalogue again sometime soon. As ive begun flushing, i didnt feed these plants anything but 6.8 pH water.

Wow! Sour Ripper was nothing but a treat! Next up I'm trying Washing Machine cuz Ripper Seeds are no joke!! She smells like straight up diesel! But the smell isn't really too pungent til you crunch the buds up. The frost production is beautiful! All the buds are coated in resin! Could have waited a week longer to harvest, but it's okay, I was going to be getting a relatively small harvest anyways :P. She literally just became dry enough to sample as I harvested her on the 24th. Smoked a blunt of it and I've gotta say, some of the smoothest tasting smoke I've had since my nitro cookies grow about a year ago! Honestly super excited for the cure because I regard my nitro cookies crop to be the best I've grown yet! I said it all throughout the grow and figured it would also make a fitting conclusion; Amazing job Ripper Seeds! - Also, great job Urb Organics, that stuff works wonders!
