What a twist of fate! I was telling a coworker about my problems with lack of light and he said that he has 2 480w MarsHydro LED lights under his bed that are just taking up space. He is going to loan them to me for me to use until he has some more space to grow his own! This is amazing because I really cant afford the lighting that i need for these right now and this will at least help me get started. I took 1 light and hung it from the ceiling of the basement. The plants had stretched significantly with lack of light for past 2 weeks. After putting them under the lights I very quickly began to notice the leaves growing more quickly and plants were responding nicely to the increase of light. A buddy mentioned to me that I would probably get a better result if I brought them closer to the lights, since I don't have any light hangers I had to get creative so I used a small cooler to get them within 16in of the light and saw changes in growth almost overnight. It was pretty obvious to me that they had been really starved for light by how fast they grew once I got them into an adequate amount of light. I was able to get the tent over the weekend but of course I left the corner pieces that allow the horizontal and vertical poles to meet so I am unable to set the tent up until I get those, hopefully in the next week someone can bring them to me. I imagine that when I get that set up I will see them get even happier. The plants have been through an enormous amount of stress so far in their short lives so Im really hoping that I can still get them to grow healthy and happy. We will see how the next few weeks go.
@HighTV, Thanks for checking in!! I've definitely made my fair share of mistakes with this one since it's my first grow but this strain has been extremely forgiving and has been a fantastic one to learn on. I definitely want to run this strain again but next time I really want to get some actual Kens GDP from Seedsman instead of running bag seed. If mine comes out looking anything like yours Im going to be a very happy guy!
It turned out to be a mite called hypoaspis miles. I thought they were spider mites and spent like two weeks trying to kill them until I found out that they were beneficial and kill fungus gnats haha
