Sun Apr 23 - I germinated the seeds. I put the seeds into water with ChitoSal and Microbial Mass Pro. As per the
instructions on the ChitoSal, I only soaked the seeds for 45 min. I then used the water from the soak and
poured it onto the paper towel inside the ziploc bag. I then put that ziploc bag onto a plate that is inside
of the propagator which is on top of a heat mat. I'm hoping that propagator keeps the paper towel moist
- I am nervous as hell as the last germination I did with AK-47 seeds, I literally got 7 seeds to germinate
out of 20… which is only 35% success.
- The propagator is in the grow tent, lights off, heat set to 24°C and humidity at 65%
Mon Apr 24 - I took a look at the seeds and I could tell that the tap root is going to pop from all 5 of the seeds.
- I am super happy as the last 2 grows, I had mixed success when germinating the seeds.
Tue Apr 25 - 4 of the 5 seeds had their tap root out enough to plant.
- I soaked the plugs in water containing the Microbial Mass Pro, then planted the seeds, tap root down,
into the plug. I left the 5th seed to try to get the tap root out a bit further. I will probably plant it anyways
as it's just going to use a plug.
- I refreshed the spray bottle with water and Microbial Mass Pro
- I put the propagator back into the grow tent, but now with the lights on.
Wed Apr 26 - 3 of the 4 seeds that are in the plugs have now emerged. One did not, but when I look at it closer, it
appears to be very close to emerging from the plug as well.
- As for the other seed that I left on the paper towel, the tap root grew a tiny bit more, but nothing like
the other seeds and their tap roots.
- I decided to plant it anyways into the plug and I'll see where this goes.
- I get very nervous when germinating seeds due to the fiasco of the AK-47's where only 35% of the seeds
germinated.
- I'm really hoping they all work out, but I'm prepared to lose the one that doesn't have much of a tap
root. But I'm also worried about that other one that did have a decent tap root, but it hasn't emerged yet.
Thu Apr 27 - the seedlings are looking pretty good. The one I planted last still hasn’t emerged from the soil.
Fri Apr 28 - Three of the seedling have roots poking through the plug. 1 is not showing yet and the last one is just
beginning to emerge from the plug. I had to remove the shell to reveal the cotyledons.
- This is the fastest that I've seen tap root pop from the seeds and the fastest that I've seen the roots
emerging from the bottoms of the plugs.
- My other grows, the germination process has taken between 10 to 15 days. These seedlings are
developing twice as fast.
- The difference between this grow and past grows is that I'm using ChitoSal and Microbial Mass Pro.
- The ChitoSal is used for increasing the trichomes, but it can also be used to assist in the
germination process by soaking the seeds for between 30 to 45 min at the absolut most.
- I was able to plug these seeds into their plugs at least a day or 2 sooner than previous grows
because the tap root appreared so soon and to the appropriate length.
- The Microbial Mass Pro is used for root development
- The roots are protruding out of the plugs a few days sooner than I have seen all of my other
grows.
- I also noticed that the roots have more offshuts that other seedling roots I've seen.
- I definitely feel that the increased development of the seedlings during the germination
process is due to the ChitoSal and the Microbial Mass Pro.
- If those 2 nutrients work this notably well, I can't wait to see what they do to the plant during the
vegetative and blooming stage
- At the last minute, I decided to plant 2 of the seedlings into their grow bags as they are getting a little
leggy and I fear that they may fall over if they are not planted. So I feel a sense of urgency to plant them.
- I will probably plant the other 3 tomorrow.
- I filled the grow bags with Fox Farm Ocean Forest, leaving about an inch and a half from the top.
- I made a small hole in the soil for the plug, but before putting in the plug, I sprinkled in Mycorrhizal
fungai to help with transplant shock.
- I watered the newly planted seedlings with RapidStart, Microbial Mass Pro and Diamond Nectar
Sat Apr 29 - The 3 seedlings that are still in their plugs are doing good. One of them is not showing any root
protruding from the plug yet, but the seedling does look healthy.
- I will be planting the remaining 3 plugs into soil in 2 days even if the one plug is still not showing
roots yet.
- the 2 seedlings that have been planted are unchanged. Which is normal…it's only been 1 day and
seedlings always go through a slight shock when transplanted. It usually only last a couple of days and
then they restart their growing process.
