Mon Jul 31 - I fed the plants with PH'ed water.
- I used the macro lens again and saw that the trichomes are a mix of clear and cloudy. So I feel that the
timing is right to start the flushing process
Wed Aug 2 - I fed the plants with PH'ed water.
- I think the next feeding I'll be using the FloraKleen, then back to the PH'ed water.
- I'm on the fence if I will do some major flush as I've done in the past. It's hard to move the plants with all
of the plant stakes keeping them up. But I will probably put through a lot of water and just use the shopvac
so that I can keep in the plants in place.
- Side note - I had to purchase a new bud bowl trimmer. My other one broke. It would no longer spin.
I thought that maybe it was the gear box being seized as I had submerged it in soapy water to get it clean.
But, when I got the gear box apart, I saw that it was the side walls of the cylinder that looked a bit shopped
up and even the slightest bit missing caused the gears to no longer spin. I then read the instructions and I
noticed that it said to only spin the gears clockwise.
I had been spinning the gears in both directions. Since the device is probably a "Made in China" item, I
assume changing the directions on a dime and such was not good for the gears.
- So I ordered a new one of the same brand and size so that could at least use the bowl and lid from the
other one as they still work and this way, I'll have extra pieces in case anything else breaks.
Fri Aug 4 - I've been surprised this whole time flushing… the soil has been dry at the 48 hour mark just as though I was
still using Diamond Nector. I assumed the soil would go back to taking an extra day or so before needing
another feeding.
Sun Aug 6 - I flushed the plants with 2 litres of PH'ed water and FloraKleen. I immediately used a shopvac to soak up
the water as I don't want the plants to reabsorb the runoff as it contains the nutrients that I'm trying to flush
- I'll be harvesting the plants in 2 days from now.
