It’s getting close to the end for our gratitude grow! Look at that beautiful lady ❤️ we’ve cut back on the feed. Good timing because I used up my last bottle of massive anyway. Will start giving plain water soon. Waterings are still x3 daily by hand. I had intentions of setting up automatic watering but I’m honestly grateful for the time I’m forced to sit with and admire our lovely plant and enjoy the task. Bought some new plant saucers on rollers which has definitely made my life easier too.
Pothead is recovering well from her root pruning a few days ago and has put out new growth already. She’s only getting 20 watts of led 24/7, lives with us in the living room, no smell, little fan nearby for circulation. Looking very good.
The rest of gratitude’s clones, the funny looking right-angled super-cropped bud sticks in solo cups, are starting to smell really delicious.
Pothead’s tiny clone that was put immediately under 12-12 from cutting, in only a shot glass no less, is extremely adorable but it’s clear that allowing the cuts to root and then veg another week at 18-6 increases growth significantly. If I do a sog in the future I will definitely give at least 1 week of veg.
She drinks almost 500ml per day, 6 inches tall. We have to wait about 4 more weeks before we have flowering space so we will probably give her 16 tops in total.
Happy growing
We topped her down to node 3 and removed growth sites below, hope it wasn’t too much, watered her in with our collected rain water enriched with the gp3 nutrients 🤞🤞
Happy growing
Friendship plant update: the soil took 2 weeks to dry out and she was watered again today. Growth on every branch but she’s still very “soft” and in recovery. Half dose fertilizer and moderate light, letting the soil dry down, giving her a gentle wake up. Once she’s firmed up, probably in the spring, she will get root pruned and repotted in a good fast draining compost. Then we will wire her and tidy up her bonsai. No signs of roots from the cuttings yet but we know from experience we need patience!
Gratitude practice update: We are growing our practice along with our plants and we are finding more and more reasons to be thankful. I find I’m most thankful for family and it inspires me to do extra little acts of kindness for them throughout my day. That makes the good feelings grow
We will update more later in the week.
