Hmm.. I was planning on transplanting as soon as roots started poking through the bottom but I’m thinking now I’d like to keep them small for a bit longer before potting up. There’s been some issues that will delay flipping to flower for another few weeks and I don’t really have space for the growth they will put on once given a full gallon of coco to spread out.
Last week I pinched out the 4th node on 3 out of 4 plants. Only one of them was big enough to “top” and the other two I had to squeeze my nail in there to remove the growth.. 3 days later the new tops were visible and looks like I managed to nicely top 1 and FIM the other 2! Cool!!
We still have one that’s struggling and I’m ok with that. She will probably take off when she gets more space and if not then that’s ok too.
They have adjusted to the change of lighting well and the 4-finger leaves are the only sign that anything changed. They stretched so damn much under the other light that they are a bit flimsy still. Hopefully the topping encourages the stem to thicken up. They were planted deeper already but once I transplant I will likely have to try and bury some more of that stem.
Love this little viparspectra light. The dimmer is just so convenient.
We are in the middle of a storm so humidity is high which is great for these ladies as I had been struggling to raise humidity in this new tent and now it’s staying up about 55-60%
I probably won’t do much with them this week except increase feeding to daily to make the most of the coco and just enjoy watching them grow.
Happy growing 🌱
Do you prune the roots before repotting? Heard thats actually beneficial but actually never seen someone do it...
Those are some nice Roots btw. 😸
Have a nice one Growmie.
I replanted the seedlings deeper into 500ml solo cups and increased the light intensity. They are being watered with GP3 nutrients schedule. Easy to use, clean, local brand. So far so good. Once they’ve spread their roots out wide should start to see some growth this week.
