From Glass to Grass... germinated seeds to 100% FFOF in starter tray & dampened down with RW. Equipment Rundown: Situation: Only 2 of 3 popped soil. Phenotype "A" is much more aggressive than "B". Upon Investigation I believe the heat mat killed "C" by overheating? Luckily I only lost one and removed that heatpad pronto! Light Schedule: ~19/6 with Simulated Sunrise/Sunset (details in photos) VPD/Humidity: I set the app at keeping VPD at .5 and make sure that this is THE #1 priority (Love that the AC Infinity app does VPD calculations so you don't have to). I'm using the 69 controller pro + which gives an incredible 8 ports for my equipment, which in turn has made it a breeze to get the environment that I want and gives me control to everything on the fly). Temperature: Note*** The air outside the tent is drier and cooler ~69°/45%. And minus the handheld size portable heater, Temps are achieved by flexuating Intake/Exhaust ratios. Lighting bumps the temps to perfection by day, and Darkness/humidity brings down the temps at night. Only on the windy nights do I turn on the heater which is perfectly sized and the output is perfect for slowly heating up and maintaining ~72° within the automation parameters. I fine tuned the rest of the automations for maximum energy efficiency while maintaining a steady airflow. I have an 6" Intake setup at the bottom of the tent so that the coolest air flows in and 6" Exhaust running horizontal to minimize heat loss running out. The 2 oscilating fans from AC Infinity integrate using the "UIS" platform and are used for circulation. For the time being I have one fan off oscilation and fixed directing the fog off my continuous humidifier towards the plants (Speed 6 works best). While the other is Oscilating actually doing the better part of circulating the air. They're setup with Temperature and humidity thresholds so they ramp up and down throughout operation and work very nicely utilizing the transitioning buffer. The small flex in Temps are directly attributed to me obtaining maximum efficiency and is a compromise I was willing to make. I don't believe it'll have a negative effect, in fact it'll probably make my girls more robust as times goes on. Like wind on the stalks makes a healthy crop. Water: A major part in simulating an outdoor grow indoors IMO is the NEED for natural rain water. I've been harvesting rural midwest rainwater & lucked out with a few moderate rainy days in December. I love how easy it is to put up and tear down the whole system, takes less than 10 minutes. From gutter to garden, I was able to fill my 50Gal trash container with the 2 days of misty rain! PH ~5.2 when testing collection bin with test strip. This should last me awhile (I'm hopeful it will carry me through til the next rain, & hopefully I won't be stuck melting snow 🤣🤪)! Potting Up: As far as life after the dome goes, I always pot up when the canopy leaves diameter is just slightly smaller than that of the pot. I like using Styrofoam cups at this stage for several reasons. There's plenty of flex and I gently squeeze them once the medium starts drying to minimize compaction, It is super easy to make drainage ports using the cherry of my smokes & when I go to up-pot... everything slides out ever so nicely. The medium I'll be using at this stage is 4 parts Fox Farms Ocean Forest and 1 part perlite. I prep by getting the Styrofoam cups ready. Make drainage ports, mix up the medium and fill it about 3/4 full and place it in a glass baking tray (solid base help prevent accidental tipovers).I take my filtered rainwater and saturate it. Then I take an empty starter tray pot and use it as a mold so that my up-pot sits centered and flush with minimal compaction withthe perfect hole ready to go. Then I place it in the tent to acclimate. I make sure the medium that the plant is in dries out until it's slightly moist under the surface. Efficiency Report: Electric bill this month after 3wks of running the tent and distiller was cheaper than expected and lower than the previous year. Temps range in between 72-78 during the day and 66-72 at night. Not only has growing made me a happy camper, but it also is translating into money & energy savings. Which is a major part of why we grow in the first place. ***Note to community... I'm new here and I have a tendency to really dig in. In fact I just seen this site for the first time yesterday, so I'm essentially backlogging here. There's many things I would've documented that I unfortunately didn't. Still early though, I'll be better going forward! Also, I see too many post that leave me with so many questions... and a lot of really good ones I'm trying to learn from! In that same breath there are some tools and testers that I don't have (ie TDS, soil PH meter etc) so please forgive me! I'm literally starting from scratch on a tight knit budget and recollecting what worked for me in the past while taking in some pointers along the way. If there's anything I can do to improve my grow (within budget) to increase yield and/or potency while keeping my all natural simulation intact... hit me up, anything helpful is much appreciated! ***Note to self... need heat pad with thermostat controller, it should be a crime to sell them without one 😂. Also tent has proven worthy of holding humidity so no starter tray next time. No worries, more room for the others... lesson learnt.

Very nice plants so far, the graduation of the light cycle may not be as important as you may think I've done similarly with my Optic Led 3 way adjustable light and controller after about 3 runs it really made no difference except to cut down on PPFD and DLI. I start at 50% then to needed power then just off at the end. Your investment in gear will pay off!! Nice way to get back into the game best of

@ToastFarmer, Thanks I appreciate it. With my old gear back in the day it was on and done. There was no easing into the light cycle. The new tech is fantastic with a few caveats. For example the controller 69 pro doesn't forward DST to individual ports even though it will update in the main system. Super glad I stayed up to 2am to monitor this. So with all 8 ports customed programed with day and night schedules, that was a slight pain. Old school timers keep trucking along without worry. As far as the graduation of the light cycle... it's really important in my eyes for this specific grow. Let me explain my thinking... The S16 & S11 only take 72 min to fire up to full power and they're actually on 12hr 20min cycles. They're surprisingly bright when tandemed together in a 3x3. On 10 minutes before overhead fixture, Off 10 minutes after. I now have them to full power in 50 minutes stepping up a level every 5 minutes. I have the overhead stepping up in levels every 12 minutes since phenotype "A" of SLH is only 6" from the fixture. I don't want to burn the top. It's became a balancing act and IMO (I don't have a good PPFD/DLI/PAR/LUX meter YET!) I'm striking middle ground quite well. I'm going old school and slowly stepping up and observing along with taking readings using an app. Seems to be working really well so far and if it fairs out, I may wait a little while before committing on buying a good meter. I appreciate you calling it out. I thought about super cropping, but I don't feel that's necessary now. I absolutely would reduce if not eliminate it all together if it wasn't for SLH which has over tripled in size the last 3 weeks. I'll upload pics showing this later on. They're starting to fill out nicely.

@OhioriverHomestead, Nice Bro if you still have some come harvest maybe we'll have to compare our results! Back in the day, before I had kids, I grew this for a minute. Really hoping for that award winning super lemon flavor in one of these girls. They are so different and have been since day 1 so I'm somewhat hopeful to score one this time. If not I still have 2 seeds left. @ILGM don't let me down. That said, I haven't had a SLH pheno that I regretted yet. Last time, had 2 as well (buddy mothered) and one had a lemon zest to it - it was settle and smooth. The other was a chronic high with none of the terps I was expecting. I'm running the Samsung LM301B LED that came with the tent w/ S11 IONBEAM Bars as supplemental lighting on the sides. Come flower I'll be utilizing the the IONBEAM U4 Targeted spectrum as well. If you go back to my first week I give a rundown of equipment & links to each. This LED thing is completely new to me... love the utility savings and how I can adjust brightness on the fly.

Congrats on the legal grow, wish my state was legal too. One day. They're looking great, looks like 10 years absence from growing no issue! You mentioned the small 3x3 tent... I've been using a 2x2x5 tent the past 3 years since it's a low-profile grow. At first I tried fitting 4 plants in there was which nuts. Zero space once they bushed out. I dialed back to 1 plant which worked well. I'll get a bigger tent once it's legal here. Happy growing buddy!

@@Chunga, Thanks again. We can't learn unless we experiment. So I 💯 agree with you. As stated in week 1 of diary, I want have fun with it. I've always believed plants in general feed off positive vibes and care. Speaking of funny... or ironic rather, I waited for this moment since the 90s. I've settled down a hair since and decided to have a family. I still live in spitting distance from my home town. Shit goes legal, and here I'm stoked, feeling like I've aquired a small fortune in Amazon stocks... yet all my bros who I envisioned sharing this moment with, are MIA due to cleaning up, getting locked up, dead or got the hell outta Dodge? This is not quite the way I envisioned my first legal grow 20 yrs ago lmao! Not sure how many in this community has experienced this... kinda bitter-sweet. But there are a few of my bros who got their own grows going strong. As of now our harvest looks staggered just right that we've made a pact to aide each other during the trim process. That is the moments I'm looking forward to. We're all growing killer strains that are different.

@@CRANKSTER_420, Yep, only a matter of time... once the pols finally catch up with public opinion. it's funny how every grow is an experiment. Your LST looks awesome. Agreed, the tie down would be good for my tent, will be trying it this year. 👍
