Start of week, Girls still looking really good, very slight fading of green on first set of 🍃 (overexposure to light?) I've been keeping things a little brighter than most would recommend to limit stretching while keeping a very watchful eye as I'm doing it. Even had the brightness set 10 for a couple of days to aid with this. Now I'm ready for them to actually grow out, so I've dialed back to 4 which puts off similar glow as my CFL does according to the LUX app I'm using while maintaining a 30" clearance. I've started to feed in some nutrients to the roots with "Grow Big" using 3/4tsp per half gallon. And at night continuing the foliage feed every other night 1/4tsp per half gallon. Can't wait to see what this week brings! (Update: Brought sickness & humor) 12/30/23 Added carbon with homemade device... All seems well. 12/31/23 New Years Eve... sick as shit, all I'm doing is topping off humidifiers and snapping a quick group photo. 1/1/24 Introduced Big Bloom, phasing out Grow Big (I'm an idiot... and already fd my all organic grow with this, glad I caught this early on! I'm used to FFOFB but not their ferts... I assumed FF was 100 organic company. My assumption, ignorance and lack of due diligence are to blame). Started LST on Phenotype "A". 1/2/24 Transplanted into 3 gallon fabric pots utilizing some premium mycorrhizal from Trifecta. Super fun process when you're sick and cannot concentrate. The things parents do for their children! Speaking of children... if you have kids in legal state/territory do you conceal your ops, be straightforward and honest, or just go with it as it is what it is? So far I've chosen the latter while locking down the zips. Surprisingly, none of the kids have batted an eye or seem to notice this 3x3 enclosure in my cave. They certainly haven't said anything about it as of yet... but... after transplanting to the 3 gal pots, I didn't have room for my homemade CO2 delivery system. So I took it downstairs to clean it up and stash it for the next time I may need it (probably won't since I got a generator on order). Well here I am carrying this thing to the sink and my daughter looks at me and says "Are you Breaking Bad dad? Mommmmm... Dad's making meth!" My wife lost it and if I would guess she peed a lil bit while exhibiting hard core laughter, as I stood dead in my tracks absolutely dumbfounded, sick & at a total loss of words. 1/3/24 Feeling great again finally. Last 3 days were rough. Honestly, I credit my quick recovery to this venture. Focusing on keeping the girls in prestine health translated into Focusing on my own damn nutritional intake. Normally Nugs, Nyquill and Tylenol are my go tos. This time I kicked it with Nugs, citric fruits, greens, broths and lots of water. Anyways, I've sprinkled a handful of earthworm castings from WIGGLE WORM over the root zone in each pot. Watered down and back to the waiting game. On a side note... this website is wonky since they updated it. Germination rates aren't what they showed beforehand, I can't arrange photos by dragging them anymore as well. Seems like a rollback is due til @GrowDaries can sort out the bugs!

Very nice plants so far, the graduation of the light cycle may not be as important as you may think I've done similarly with my Optic Led 3 way adjustable light and controller after about 3 runs it really made no difference except to cut down on PPFD and DLI. I start at 50% then to needed power then just off at the end. Your investment in gear will pay off!! Nice way to get back into the game best of

@ToastFarmer, Thanks I appreciate it. With my old gear back in the day it was on and done. There was no easing into the light cycle. The new tech is fantastic with a few caveats. For example the controller 69 pro doesn't forward DST to individual ports even though it will update in the main system. Super glad I stayed up to 2am to monitor this. So with all 8 ports customed programed with day and night schedules, that was a slight pain. Old school timers keep trucking along without worry. As far as the graduation of the light cycle... it's really important in my eyes for this specific grow. Let me explain my thinking... The S16 & S11 only take 72 min to fire up to full power and they're actually on 12hr 20min cycles. They're surprisingly bright when tandemed together in a 3x3. On 10 minutes before overhead fixture, Off 10 minutes after. I now have them to full power in 50 minutes stepping up a level every 5 minutes. I have the overhead stepping up in levels every 12 minutes since phenotype "A" of SLH is only 6" from the fixture. I don't want to burn the top. It's became a balancing act and IMO (I don't have a good PPFD/DLI/PAR/LUX meter YET!) I'm striking middle ground quite well. I'm going old school and slowly stepping up and observing along with taking readings using an app. Seems to be working really well so far and if it fairs out, I may wait a little while before committing on buying a good meter. I appreciate you calling it out. I thought about super cropping, but I don't feel that's necessary now. I absolutely would reduce if not eliminate it all together if it wasn't for SLH which has over tripled in size the last 3 weeks. I'll upload pics showing this later on. They're starting to fill out nicely.

@OhioriverHomestead, Nice Bro if you still have some come harvest maybe we'll have to compare our results! Back in the day, before I had kids, I grew this for a minute. Really hoping for that award winning super lemon flavor in one of these girls. They are so different and have been since day 1 so I'm somewhat hopeful to score one this time. If not I still have 2 seeds left. @ILGM don't let me down. That said, I haven't had a SLH pheno that I regretted yet. Last time, had 2 as well (buddy mothered) and one had a lemon zest to it - it was settle and smooth. The other was a chronic high with none of the terps I was expecting. I'm running the Samsung LM301B LED that came with the tent w/ S11 IONBEAM Bars as supplemental lighting on the sides. Come flower I'll be utilizing the the IONBEAM U4 Targeted spectrum as well. If you go back to my first week I give a rundown of equipment & links to each. This LED thing is completely new to me... love the utility savings and how I can adjust brightness on the fly.

Congrats on the legal grow, wish my state was legal too. One day. They're looking great, looks like 10 years absence from growing no issue! You mentioned the small 3x3 tent... I've been using a 2x2x5 tent the past 3 years since it's a low-profile grow. At first I tried fitting 4 plants in there was which nuts. Zero space once they bushed out. I dialed back to 1 plant which worked well. I'll get a bigger tent once it's legal here. Happy growing buddy!

@@Chunga, might want to rethink it. Tie down got kinda outta control. Especially if the strain is a stretcher!

@@Chunga, Thanks again. We can't learn unless we experiment. So I 💯 agree with you. As stated in week 1 of diary, I want have fun with it. I've always believed plants in general feed off positive vibes and care. Speaking of funny... or ironic rather, I waited for this moment since the 90s. I've settled down a hair since and decided to have a family. I still live in spitting distance from my home town. Shit goes legal, and here I'm stoked, feeling like I've aquired a small fortune in Amazon stocks... yet all my bros who I envisioned sharing this moment with, are MIA due to cleaning up, getting locked up, dead or got the hell outta Dodge? This is not quite the way I envisioned my first legal grow 20 yrs ago lmao! Not sure how many in this community has experienced this... kinda bitter-sweet. But there are a few of my bros who got their own grows going strong. As of now our harvest looks staggered just right that we've made a pact to aide each other during the trim process. That is the moments I'm looking forward to. We're all growing killer strains that are different.

@@CRANKSTER_420, Yep, only a matter of time... once the pols finally catch up with public opinion. it's funny how every grow is an experiment. Your LST looks awesome. Agreed, the tie down would be good for my tent, will be trying it this year. 👍
