Week 7 is already halfway over!
This week starts with what might be the last veg topdress. 1tsp uprising grow per 5gal pot, mixed with a 3:1 mix of coco loco soil & earthworm castings. Watered in with calmag water ph to 6.3
This week also started with some IPM in the form of some samples of Dr Zymes Eliminator. Soaked them 2 days in a row before lights out.
Some health issues still persisting. The plants had been growing into the light, but I hadn't moved them, plus running the inline fan during the full light meant vpd got a bit high. Low humidity plus high temp meant the plants started clawing and tacoing. Plus I think the PH/watering may still not be quite as dialed as I thought.
I have some supplies coming this week to help prepare for flower and further dial in the environment. I've been leaving the heater running all the time and manually turning the inline fan on and off every morning and night, but a few more mechanical timers should help me automate things a bit better. I have a big fan to hang at the top and will be able to move more air inside the tent. The biggest and best part will be the SF3000, very excited to gear up for flowering.
Unfortunately this week I also snapped a bit off Permanent Marker while bending stems... I put it in water with myco overnight and planted it in a bit of dirt. I don't have a cloning setup so I made do with what was on hand... it was destined for the trash anyway so why not try to save it.
Training has been interesting and seems to be going well, as the tent is filling out nearly wall to wall. Things look on track to flip to flower sometime in the next couple weeks.
I did decide to trim the big beautiful leaves off Blueberry Muffin, they were blocking the tops... with those gone I started LST for that runt of the batch. I'll have to retry this strain sometime because I'm definitely not doing it justice this time around.
The Permanent Marker accidental clone might survive to be a mom, it hasn't died yet and it's been a couple days, so fingers crossed.
My light arrived broken! The replacement part is on the way and I should still be on track to install upgrades this weekend as week 8 begins.
Is it OK to use my old compost tea? Can it be used as a foliar spray? If yes, can this be done during the daytime cycle?
My tea started brewing on 1/5 and it's only 4 days later. The tea doesn't smell horrible and is only 400ppm. It feels like a waste to dump it.
How will I know when it's time to transplant? Some roots showing at the bottom of the cups, but plants still seem too small with only around 6 baby leaves. Sprouted 12/28 but some early stunted growth, we are early week 3 but maybe lagging behind "normal" growth.
Nice looking plants very healthy! I love chocolate mint og ๐ its such a unique flavor and the buzz is very strong almost narcotic nice choice brotha
Looks Dope!
Love that permanent marker you got goin. I'm sure they still have some filling in to do yet!
Not bad for a Noob. Not bad!
I'm sure someone will give you a well deserved pat on the back when you choke on that smoke ๐!
Your gameplan seems solid. Don't forget timing is everything โจ๏ธ. Good luck and if I don't make it back, enjoy!
@@CRANKSTER_420, thanks dude, she's a looker ๐ turning purple and so frosty. I think I got 2 full weeks left and hoping they fill out just a bit more.
Its not running out, its you reducing amounts to healthy from previous overdose. Add epsom salt to feeds or other way increase magnesium a bit. Have fun !
@jmsky, i am growing actively for 8 years, with a lot of plants, but in my recent run i had two anomalies first time. One plant was showing magnesium issues till almost mid of flower, most probably pickiest strain ever . Other was diagnosed by me wrong, first time bumbed into calcium toxicity, symptoms very similar to deficiency and i screw up heavily. Main thing - never panic. Rethink many times and then do actions.
Happy Growing !!!
@AsNoriu, thanks for the tips! I am still learning and often read confusing or conflicting things, especially about nutrients and reading leaves. I appreciate your experienced guidance! ๐
@jmsky, i dont know, maybe medium was too hot, but that patern of discoloration from dark green to patchy bright is aftermath of overfeeding. I saw signs of magnesium too, thats why i wrote. Plants responds good - carry on . Sometimes they need time to establish, main thing are they developing and growing healthy - if yes, ignore my remarks.
Good luck !
HSC Seeds sind immer in der gleichen Packung. Ich denke das sind keine Bl. Muffin voc HSC gewesen. Seeds die nicht original verpackt sind sind auch nicht von HSC
