Hello Growmies,
Navigating week 10 in the company of our Bruce Banner x White Russian beauties has been a journey of vigilance and adaptation, especially in light of recent technical troubles. A critical advisory to all fellow cultivators: the Mars Hydro Smart lighting system has recently fallen short of its 'smart' designation. Post-firmware update, the timer functionality has been nothing short of a gamble, compromising the consistency of our light schedule and pushing our plants dangerously close to reverting to vegetative growth—a grower's nightmare.
Such an oversight cannot be overstated. The leap back to the old-school reliability of a Legrand timer was not just a choice but a necessity. Despite Mars Hydro's solid hardware reputation, their venture into 'smart' territory seems to have been a misstep, one that we've had to counteract decisively. It's an unwelcome reminder that tech, however advanced, is not infallible, and that diligence in monitoring our tools is as crucial as caring for the plants themselves.
In stark contrast, I must highlight the unwavering dependability of our TrolMaster setup. Throughout this ordeal, it has stood as a paragon of reliability, its automation unfazed and accurate, a testament to its superior design and integration in our grow environment. The TrolMaster system has been a beacon of stability, its precision a bulwark against the capriciousness of 'smart' tech gone awry.
This week has seen us remove all Mars Hydro Smart systems from our setup, following a thorough examination for any potential fallout from the lighting inconsistencies. Our proactive approach continues with another round of defoliation, prepping our plants for yet another vigorous flower stretch.
The resilience of our Bruce Banner x White Russian hybrids is noteworthy; they remain poised and robust, unfazed by the recent technological missteps. Their sturdiness is a comforting reassurance of the quality of care and environment we provide—minus the Mars Hydro Smart system, of course.
As we manage our grow space, the juxtaposition of TrolMaster's reliability against Mars Hydro's malfunction has been a compelling narrative, one that reinforces the axiom: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," but also, "If it is broken, fix it immediately." We've done just that, ensuring our plants continue their flowering journey uninterrupted and with the robust support of reliable technology.
In this shared path of cultivation, let us remain astute, learning from each twist and turn, and always prepared to step in when our plants rely on us the most.
Stay informed, stay vigilant, and as always, stay lifted,
Salokin
Sounds like it's gonna be a sweet run. Been a fan of ganja farmers stuff, curious how their photos are ..
Best of luck tho I like the idea , gonna look amazing !!
@Grow4Releaf, so far so good, most of them germinated, from the ganja farmer seeds I have 1 GMO trailing behind and the Bruce banner white widow are taking a bit longer, but also have all germinated. I may replace them with some watermelon candy f1 hybrids from the Zamnesia family :)
