The seeds were put in wet paper towels inside ziploc bags and then stored in the germinator. After about 2 days all seeds had germinated except for L.A Peyote Kush that was a dud. I germinated a second seed of the L.A. PK that was fine.
The poor girls have had a rough beginning. First having to have 12/12 light schedule the first week and then I had to leave the house for 4 days. When I returned home I found the tent in darkness with no ventilation. One of the fuses had blown 😫
I will let them fill the 1 litre pots properly before transplanting them to 11 litre pots.
I noticed bugs on some plants early this week. I have since then given them 3 sprayings of potassium soap.
All have got topped except for Mokum's Tulip that is growing a bit slower than the others. Hopefully it'll be ready for the chop today.
The girls have been up potted to 11 litre pots. A few of them are almost ready to start LST. I have so far only tucked some leaves. The aim is to get them all compact. I will give them all 6 main colas plus a bunch of smaller ones inside.
I have been training the girls all week. They're now taking the shape I want for them. They are now very low and bushy. I am making 6 main colas along the perimeters, and the insides will be filled with buds. They all grow the way I'm expecting except for Mokum's Tulip that grows really funny.
We'll see how long I'll keep them in veg for but I'll probably switch in about a week.
I have kept training the girls this week - about every second day. They are shaping up beautifully. They're all about 20 cm tall except for Mokum's Tulip that is a bit taller. A few of the girls suffered from broken branches that I quickly taped together again. Especially L.A. Peyote Kush has been suffering. Other than that the girls are looking great. They'll only get 12 hours of light today followed by 24 hours of darkness, then I'll flip them. Let the stretch begin...
They have done 1 week of flowering. During this week I have kept training them and removed ray blocking leaves. They are doing very well and the tent is starting to fill out nicely.
They've continued their stretching this week. The tallest are 35 cm tall and a few of them about 10 less. I've been defoliating a lot and just done some minor training.
The girls have been stretching well this week. I am defoliating a lot, removing leaves daily as soon as they cover too much. I have set the light intensity to 100% and the tent is filling up nicely with bud sites.
The girls range in height, from the short little S.A.D. S1 and New York Diesel at 30 cm, to Mokum's Tulip at 50 cm, and most of the others at around 45 cm.
The girls are doing great. They have stretched another 5 cm this week, and now I think stretching is over. Mokum's Tulip clocks in at 55 cm, most others 50 cm, and 3 shorties at 30 cm. The goal to fill the tent up with buds is slowly forming. I pick leaves daily for ventilation and light penetration. I have raised the short plants to ger their canopies at the same level as the tallies.
We're starting to have a very nice smell in the tent.
At the end of week 5 the girls are starting to show dome nice flowers. The tent smells heavily now. I defoliate daily still, I take a lot of leaves. We now see buds everywhere in the tent - sweet 💚
None of the girls.are showing any signs of stress or nutrient deficiency. They are all very happy.
After 6 weeks of flowering the girls start to look sexy. They have all got a nice flat canopy with several colas, and they all start to get frosty. The smell in the tent is very intense and delicious. None of the plants have any problems and I expect them all to be beautiful ladies come harvest time...
I have picked some leaves this week, but now I believe I'm done with the defoliation.
The girls are doing really well. We're at the end of week 7 and the flowers are fattening up nicely. The smell when I open the tent now is insane!! All the plants are getting quite frosty, and they smell like they look 💚
The girls have now been in flowering for 8 weeks. They are all very healthy and are ripening up perfectly. Supposedly they'll all be ready in a week's time, but we'll see how we go. I am still feeding them, but I pull back a bit. The smell when I open the tent up is very strong and delicious.
@Sweet_Seeds,
Thank you, Apolo! The Sweet Cherry Pie in this diary is actually a descendant from your Sweet Cherry Pie that gave me a bunch of seeds a couple of years ago. These seeds have excellent genetics. I've grown a few myself and given away loads to mates.
