==================================== WEEK ZERO ==================================== THURSDAY 10/18: My beans will arrive on 10/19, and I'm ready for them! I've come to believe that with so few total days that an autoflower will live, it's an absurd waste of time to sprout them in paper towels and then transfer them to media. From my best guesstimation, I'm wasting 2-3 days time with each seedling while they acclimate to new media..plus I've had some catastrophic penetrations of the paper towel by the tap root that led to failures to emerge from the soil. I'm gonna try a little experiment with rapid rooter cubes and grodan rockwool cubes this time around. I'm planting 2 x Gorilla Glue Autos, one in each starter media and germinating in an enclosed tray. Once I start to see roots, I'll open up the vents on the chamber for a day, then plant them in 3 gallon fabric pots. FRIDAY 10/19: 1 pair of Gorilla Glue Auto seeds are soaking! SATURDAY 10/20: Both seeds sank. SUNDAY 10/21: Both seeds sprouted and were planted. 👍 I have the 75w blue/white LED panel about 18" above them, and the 730nm far red light kicking on for an hour, every 6 hours. MONDAY: Nuttin yet.. TUESDAY: Only one seedling emerged thus far.. WEDNESDAY: Still just one GG seedling emergence, but it is looking good.👍 I floated another GG bean in case this one doesn't show it's pretty face.. ============================================= WEEK ONE ============================================= THURSDAY 10/25: The lone GG seedling had an excellent taproot, so I planted it. The other still hasn't emerged (very shy), and the floater sank but hasn't sprouted yet. FRIDAY: I didn't soak them well enough yesterday and wasn't able to check them til late today...GiGi was almost dead, but I managed to revive her. The sunken bean half-ass sprouted..I stuck it in rockwool. The first one, in the rapid rooter, is pretty much the same..half-assed sprout. I'm giving up on it... I floated my last 2 GG seeds in purified water...fingers crossed..🙏 SATURDAY: Neither of the two in cubes has emerged, and neither of the two beans I floated yesterday have sprouted... The one that is planted is doing well, but 1 out of 5 is pathetic...I'll give the others a little more time, but I'm afraid that they're all duds.😩 SUNDAY: Whoopie! Another Gorilla Glue seedling emerged! What's cool is that it was one of the first 2 seeds I dropped (a whole week ago).. it just couldn't find it's way to the light I guess.. So...now I am optimistic that at least one of the other 3 in rockwool cubes might also emerge...eventually.😴 MONDAY: Still just the one new seedling so far...I'm leaving it in the incubator for another day before I plant the cube in soil...It'd sure be nice to have the other 3 emerge...🙏 TUESDAY: The survivor looks healthy. 2nd set of leaves...starting nutes tomorrow. I planted the 1 GG seedling that popped a couple days ago. Nobody else has made an appearance yet.. WEDNESDAY: I fed the older one about 32oz of nutes today..her first taste. Her name shall be "Gertrude." The younger one is looking good, but has quite a way to go to catch her big sister. Her name is "Gretyl." Neither of the other 3 sprouts have emerged.

THURSDAY 11/1: Gertrude put on some size after her first feeding. Gretyl is healthy, but getting further behind.. None of the other 3 sprouts have emerged, but one looks promising.. I've decided to try a 20/4 light cycle for this crop to see if it helps with keeping my foliage intact a little longer through the season...plus, I want my average tent temps about 4-5 degrees cooler this time to see how much it helps with terpene production/preservation. I will continue supplementing with 4 Exhale bags in an effort to keep PPM's above 1300, even when the exhaust is running..that and the addition of silica in their diet should help mitigate the higher temps they'll experience from time to time...it's a very mild winter thus far, so it's hard to maintain consistent temps. I'll veg them at 24/0 until I'm seeing pistils poppin on the majority of them, then change to 20/4. FRIDAY: Both Gertrude and Gretyl are happy and healthy. A 3rd GG might make an appearance tomorrow...fingers crossed.. SATURDAY: I fed Gertude about 32oz of water with veg nutes. Just plain ph'd water for Gretyl today, but I foliar fed them both. Gretyl will be ready for nutes in a couple more days. The 3rd GG is just a half-assed sprout...won't stand up straight...neither of the other 2 sprouts has emerged 😒 SUNDAY: Gertrude - she has such strange looking Maple leaves, but is really hitting her stride now. Gretyl - obvious growth today. I foliar fed her and got her soil moist. MONDAY: Just gave them about 16oz of ph'd water today, foliar fed and rotated. TUESDAY: I fed them 32oz of ph'd water with full strength veg nutes and moved some lights much closer to the canopy today. WEDNESDAY: D-day (Daylight) I put them into overdrive and kicked on the 1500w light at about 30" and left the blues on them at 8" to 12" and all the cool white side lights...grow babies grow.

THURSDAY 11/8: I watered them and foliar fed them a few times throughout the day. I added a 100w CXB3590 today at about 30" from the canopy. If temps stay manageable, I'll add another one tomorrow. FRIDAY: Gertrude is starting to really flourish now, and Gretyl is no longer the smallest of the second batch of planted seedlings! (You go girl!)😁 I lowered the lights about 4 inches, added a 100w bridgelux 3500k COB, and tilted the blue/white panels at a 45 degree angle. The blue Miracle LED's are still within a foot of them, too. SATURDAY: I fed them both about 40oz of ph'd tap water with full-strength veg nutes. SUNDAY: I lowered the lights a few inches and foliar fed them a few times today. Gertrude has hit her stride and is growing quickly now. Gretyl is growing another weird-ass twisted leaf....but she's growing.. MONDAY: Gertrude put on an inch overnight..don't guess she even noticed the FIMing!👍 Gretyl sure is a weird little plant, but sometimes the best stories are told by the strangest characters. 😉 TUESDAY: I watered them today with about 32oz of ph'd water and a little boomerang and bud candy. I also foliar them a few times. Gertrude's lower branches are growing well, so I did some leaf tucking on her. Gretyl is slow and weird, but maybe she'll straighten up and fly right... I added another 40w 5000k daylight bulb in a dim area and reconfigured my ventilation. I'm exhausting the tent much quicker now, so the temps are considerably lower, but at the cost of lower co2 ppms..😕 WEDNESDAY: Gertrude is a real contender for "Best in Garden" this crop. She's really bushing out nicely and starting to put on the upward inches. Her little sister is a mutant lifeform👽, but I will continue to nurture her as well. Foliar fed them a few times and rearranged the garden a little bit.

THURSDAY: Smooth sailin' so far..Gertrude continue to impress and Gretyl is starting to look a little more like a Cannabis plant FRIDAY: I fed them both about 40oz of ph'd full-strength veg nutes today and foliar fed a few times. Gertude is a lovely lady...and her little sister is a mutant. SATURDAY: I foliar fed several times and watered them both with about 40oz of ph'd water with calimagic, bud candy, and terpinator and did a photo session. Gertrude is a natural beauty and was easy to photograph. I posed weird little Gretyl in such a way that she actually looks kinda cute, too. 😁 SUNDAY: Both of my Gorilla gals are growing vigorously..I foliar fed them both a few times and whispered sweet nothings to them...😘 MONDAY: I gave them both their first big drink..about 1/3 gallons of ph'd water with full strength veg nutes. Foliar fed and rearranged a little bit... TUESDAY: Both plants grew a lot last night and Gertrude is flowering now! I foliar fed them a few times and changed out all the blues for reds and added a 120w 3000k quantum board to the garden.😎 Gretyl looks more like a decent Cannabis plant every day. WEDNESDAY: A lot of growth this week, but I'm seeing a little light burn, so I raised the lights a few inches. Improved ventilation a bit..temps are very steady now. I'll change the lights to 20/4 in a few more days. I took some photos and foliar fed a few times..rearranged the garden a bit.

THURSDAY - 11/22 (Thanksgiving Day) I was out of town all day, so didn't spend any time with the girls...but I monitored them throughout the day with the nanny-cam...technology that I am thankful for. 😁 FRIDAY: Gertrude is a truly beautiful plant and her little sister, Gretyl is finally showing promise as well.. I watered them today with ph'd water, some boomerang, calimagic, bud candy, and terpinator. I foliar fed a couple times and rearranged the garden. I swapped out my 1500w blurple light for the 2000w blurple light....so now I'm pushing 1000 actual LED draw watts in the 4 x 4...kinda ridiculous, but in a good way.😎Tomorrow I'll swap out the 60w 3500k COB with a 100w Citizen Clu048 to fully overpower the remaining visible purple light with white light. Temps are about 90f by the end of the day and drop to 74f for the 4 hours of darkness they are now getting. SATURDAY: I foliar fed a few times and added the extra 40w of white COB light. Moved the fan and put my 4th Exhale bag in the tent..it's almost used up, so time to order another. Took some photos. SUNDAY: I slowly fed each of them about 48oz of ph'd water with the full regimen of bloom nutes and foliar fed a few times. The 4th bag of Exhale really bumped the CO2 PPM's up nicely..if I keep my exhaust fan on about 50% and it's a cold day, it works out great and the high reaches about 84....but sadly, if it's not a cold day, I'm pushing 90f for about 8 hours..but very rich in CO2..... Bottom line is that I think I'm running too many lighting watts in this tent if I can't maintain a more consistent air intake temperature. I'll probably go back with the 1500w blurple because it runs a few degrees cooler than the 2000w, so that will put me back to about 925w actual draw watts...at least until we have another cold spell. MONDAY: I foliar fed a few times and rotated them. Temps stayed low last night...nice. Gertrude is flowering nicely, but Gretyl is still vegging. TUESDAY: I foliar fed a few times and spun them around. Gertrude went berserker and put on a couple inches on every branch. Gretyl is still on a 4" pedestal to even the canopy, but she's growing vertically a little every day. She's showing a few pistils now...hopefully she starts stretching now. WEDNESDAY: It was a good week for them both. Both plants grew a few inches they are healthy. I watered them today, each with about 1/3 gallon of ph'd water, bud candy, terpinator, and extra calimagic. I foilar fed a few times and rotated them.

THURSDAY 11/29: I'm in love with Gertrude. She's in full beast-mode now. Growing a couple inches per day. She's gonna be a producer.👈 Gretyl is growing, but not as quickly as I'd like. Doubt she's ever gonna get very big.. I foliar fed a few times and did a photo session.😍 FRIDAY: Gertrude is still growing vertically, but also packing on the pistils!!!!!!!😁 Gretyl is actually starting to stretch a bit, too. I foliar fed a few times and spun them around. SATURDAY: I fed them today with about 1/3 gallon of bloom nutes, plus a little extra boomerang for the N. Gertrude is the tallest plant in the garden and there's no sign she's slowing down at all! Every one of her branches is growing an inch a day at least. I'm hoping she's a monster, but at the same time, I'm not looking forward to having to supercrop her. I'd so much rather not do any bondage....really uglies up the photos....but I keep growing dissimilar strains and always have an uneven canopy... Gretyl is now directly under the quantum board, and on a throne, so she's about 18 inches from the light. Hoping to kick her into high gear. SUNDAY: Gretyl perked up a little more and might have even grown a little! Gertrude is still stretching! MONDAY: I foliar fed them a few times and moved them around a little. Gretyl must have soil drainage problems..she kinda wilts for a day following every watering...I started probing her pot today and will continue to do so for a few days. TUESDAY: Gretyl looked horrible today. I probed the hell out of her soil again and fed her about 12oz of ph'd water with boomerang, calimagic, kangaroots, and some powdered bat guano. If she doesn't perk up in the next day or so, I'll assume she's rootbound and transplant her into a 5 gallon pot with more perlite in the mix. Gertrude also looks like she has some drainage problems, but not too terribly bad. I probed her soil today and also gave her about 8oz of the same solution.

THURSDAY 12/6: Gretyl is a sickly little thing...root problems. Overwatered...underwatered...8oz..1/3 gallon..doesn't matter. I'm gonna transplant her into a 5 gallon pot tomorrow with a bunch of coco coir and perlite mixed in. Gertrude is a beauty. So many buds in the works! FRIDAY: I transplanted Gretyl into a 5 gallon fabric pot today and douched her with about a half gallon of ph'd water with calimagic, bud candy, terpinator, armor si, and a little boomerang. She was definitely rootbound. Gertrude continues to impress me. Glamour shots added.😍 SATURDAY: I rotated everybody. Gretyl is still a bit shocked from the transplant. Gertrude is happy. SUNDAY: I fed Gertrude 3/4 gallon of full-strength bloom nutes plus Bembe and fed Gretyl 1 gallon of half strength nutes with Bembe added, plus a bunch of boomerang and a little kangaroots. MONDAY: Evidently I should have calibrated my PH pen...damnit! I really PHukt them up. That's 2 fucking crops in a row... It looks like I'm having a terrible boron deficiency and that they were badly overwatered, but I know better...@#!$%^ Just when Gretyl was starting to improve...😪 TUESDAY: I flushed them today with about 2 gallons each of 6.2 PH'd water including Sledgehammer, Calimagic, and Boomerang. Fingers crosses that they snap out of it quickly. On a good note, I moved them into big tent with all the other bloomers. They were surprised to find that they had almost 25% more available PPFD across the whole garden (my new light was finally delivered!)

THURSDAY 12/13: Fortunately, neither of the GG's were affected by the bad PH fluctuations last week. In fact, Gretyl is really growing and budding well now in her bigger pot. FRIDAY: A little yellowing, but they were almost completely unaffected by the bad PH fluctuations and high temps last week. Based on my repeated PHuck ups, I may need to keep growing this strain as it is very forgiving.. SATURDAY: Still too moist from the flushing to feed them today SUNDAY: I fed them full-strength bloom nutes plus extra boomerang today. MONDAY: The girls are still recovering from PH fluctuations that made it seem as if they had a half-dozen different maladies at once..boron deficiency, overwatering, N toxicity, and light burn. Now I'm starting to see signs of light burn even on Gertrude, so I think the lights are just too intense for the distance I have them at...at least at this stage of flowering. I've dimmed them to 90% for now... TUESDAY: In addition to that issue, the new lights lower the RH in the tent waaay too much, so I've temporarily got a 4-liter cool-mist humidifier filled with ice cubes running for about 10 hours at a time before it goes dry. That's raised the average RH from 21% to 28% and lowered the average temps by a couple of degrees as well...still not good enough. So, I ordered a small evaporative cooler to put in the tent, up on the shelf. It holds a little over 2 gallons of ice water and oscillates. The new light is IP65, so a few drops raining down here and there should make no difference, but the added cooler airflow should really help to bring up the RH and lower my average temps. WEDNESDAY: The two new 85w individual OSRAM bar lights came in today and I hung them in the 1-foot wide area just below the shelf. Now I've got awesome coverage all the way across the 5 x 4. They put off some heat and I don't have any plants under them right now, so they are turned off. Love the spectrum they produce..the white is 3200k..but they just have 2 x red diode every 12 inches of bar, whereas my 10-bar fixture has 3500k, but 6 x reds per 12 inches of bar. The OSRAM diodes are every bit as bright if not brighter than the Samsung LM561C diodes, but all those deep red Cree XPE's on the fixture give it a much better spike in the 660nm range. It will be awesome being able to independently lower the lights in a 1' x 4' section of the garden. When you have dwarves to deal with, it's so much better than putting them on buckets.. That's a total of 1010w actual draw watts at full power in my 4 x 5 tent...sweet...just gotta get the RH and temp under control. It would take a seriously full tent for me to even consider turning on the extra 100w of side lights...but they're there if I need them 👍

THURSDAY 12/20: Both plants are still packing on the pistils. Gertrude is definitely showing new signs of light burn, so I'm keeping the light intensity at 90%. Gretyl has turned out to be a beauty. FRIDAY: The new evaporative cooler is working pretty well in the tent. High temp was 84f with it running on medium and with ice in the reservoir. That's a win. I suspect that when I need to run the other two 85w bar lights it will be pushing 90f again unless I run it on high. RH is is staying between 38% and 45%, which is another win! SATURDAY: I fed them both about a gallon of full-strength bloom nutes. Continuing Beastie Bloomz for another week. SUNDAY: Photo session- Gertrude is gonna have some massive buds before it's over, but she's in no hurry. Gretyl is super frosty. Her main stalk is the thickest in the garden, and her buds are the frostiest. Hard to believe she was so stunted before in the 3 gallon pot.👍

THURSDAY 12/27: I fed them both about 3/4 gallon of ph'd water each...but added bud candy, terpinator, bembe, and some cha ching. FRIDAY: Gertrude's buds are a little less frosty than little Gretyl's..maybe she's getting rootbound..she's getting pretty damn big.. SATURDAY: Gertrude is really fading and dropping leaves..I think she'll be out of leaves within a week at the current rate of loss..but her trichs are only about 25-30% cloudy at this point..no ambers at all. I'll probably go ahead and start flushing her at next water. Gretyl is still in full bud-production mode...she's got time to maximize. SUNDAY: I added another new Exhale bag to the tent and lowered the lights a couple inches. I watered them both today with some cha ching, terpinator, bud candy, bembe, and calimagic. I'll start flushing Gertrude in a couple more days. MONDAY: I rearranged the garden a little bit TUESDAY: Stood and stared at them.. salivated a little bit...😋 WEDNESDAY: Still moist, so feeding Gretyl and flushing Gertrude for the first time tomorrow.

THURSDAY 1/3: I staked up Gertrude with bamboo..her buds are getting heavy! Gretyl's buds continue getting thicker and frostier. Love it!😍 FRIDAY: I fed them each about a half-gallon of all the good stuff and moved them into the middle of the lighting array. SATURDAY: I'm definitely starting flush on Gertrude as soon as she dries out. Gretyl is starting to lose some foliage now...won't be long! SUNDAY: Still moist, so waiting to start flush on Gertrude tomorrow. MONDAY: I flushed Gertrude and looked Gretyl over...think she'll go another week. TUESDAY: I may actually start flushing on Gretyl tomorrow...gonna need the space in this tent soon and hate to have to fire up the other tent just for one plant.. WEDNESDAY: I flushed Gretyl with a few gallons of ph'd spring water plus bembe today.

SUNDAY 1/13: This stuff really does gum up your trimmers in a hurry!😋 Gretyl's colas are super heavy..I'm betting she comes in over 100g dry. Gertude will probably finish up at about 85-90g... MONDAY: still very wet.. TUESDAY: still wet.. Gretyl's buds are reddening up all over 😍 THURSDAY 1/17: Dried. Weighed. Jarred. Curing. Not as heavy as I had hoped... Gertrude only produced 68g of bud. Gretyl produced 94g of the frostiest bud I've ever grown.👌 Smoke report next week! : Final Impressions Potency: 9/10 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 9/10 Bag-appeal: 9/10 Yield: 8/10 I'll order more of these seeds and do a full tent of them in the not-too-distant future.. love it!👍
