Mothers Durban Poison (DP), Café Racer (CR), Wedding Cake (WC) & Pinapple Express (PE): 2 weeks from Germination and they are green and healthy. Surprised at the growth of CR. At first, I thought it was stretching but the stem was strong and thick and fully supported itself. Took dome off because it outgrew it. It didn't seem to like that looking a bit dry and curled leaf. Made a larger dome and see if she perks up. Disappointed at the growth rate of WC. Doesn't seem to want to grow much. As a Indica Dominate I expected it to be short but not this short. Increased lighting to 550ppfd to try to spur some growth.
DP has been growing well no problems. Temps have been consistent at 73F-78F, Humidity 80% Domed/56% undomed, CO2 500ppm-650ppm Night cycles, 800ppm-1000ppm Day cycles, watering according to medium dryness consisting of a direct quick spritz followed by soil surface wetting of about 75ml-150ml twice a day. Sometimes when Medium looks saturated I will not water. Watching for Root development to transplant into 1 Gal Pots. Probably a week or 2 from that. I've been switching from Domed during the day and no Dome during the night to acclimate them to Veg Environment and combat any potential mold/mildew.
@Jaked, Thank you I wanted a bit of variety. Durban Poison 100% sativa, Cafe Racer 70/30, Pineapple Express 60/40, and Wedding Cake 20/80, Sativa/Indica ratios. One to keep me up and one to knock me out and everything inbetween lol.
The purpose of high Rh is only to keep the seed shell moist, the minute you see the cotyloden leave is when drop Rh, the back of the leaves have small mouths called stomata if the water content of the air is above 70% the stomata will start to close to prevent suffocation.
Bacterial growth explodes above 77f, throw in moisture for any length of time with a Rh of 70+ is asking for trouble.
Good luck.
Put a wet towel. This will keep up a much more stable RH. As the plants will such in that mist, u know what you're doing so. Whatever works. Good luck with your strains some nice 1
