Finally I can make a diary of one of my favourite strains! Hawaii Maui Waui from Nirvana Seeds 💗
This is the Automatic version, I want to smoke this baby during summer (the best season for her) and with the photo version I couldn't do it due to the longer flowering cycle of an almost pure sativa. Some buddy told me it's a more of the same in flavour and effects, so let's get started!
I've soaked one bean for almost one day (18 hours) with 6.0ph'd filtered water and then covered with a wet towel for another day. I've buried the germinated seed with some great white mychorrizae (23°C / 75%RH) and after half day she sprouted from the ground!

Let's start this new journey with an Hawaii Maui Waui!
I'll call her MarioGianni. A proper name.
I've started giving to the soil some Great White and during all the week some pure zym and power roots. During the final watering of the week I've added half dose of Alga grow.
I want to maintain the ph of the nutrients and the soil at an average of 5.8/6.3. For the veg stage I need a stable percentage of humidity ( around 63/68 ). The temperature in the tent oscillates around 20/24 C°.

Welcome back to the second week of life of MarioGianni!
I've started to stretch and train her. No topping for her: I want to shape her in a more natural way this time if I can, just for pure flavour don't judge 🤣
Same nutrients and conditions of the first week except for the add of some silica during one watering.

Third week of life of MarioGianni!
The plant is growing nicely and it's becoming a bush of leaves. I don't want to defoliate till week 4.
I'm watering every 2/3 days.
During the end of this week Mariogianni is vigorously stretching and I'm so proud of her, she smells like a beautifully healthy plant! I hope to don't ruin anything of this grow.

Fourth week of life of MarioGianni!
I've lightly defoliated and continued the training on her.
She's becoming a bush! Now it's time to see if this plant will become a long sativa. I hope so 😅
I've added calmag and half dosage of alga bloom to the feeding schedule at the end of this week.
She drinks a lot.

Yes & no, its really down to experience & how you like fo grow. You should take them off in very small stages if you're going to.
These are autos. So I tend to wait until they've fully grown and as it goes into its stretch before actually going into pre flower. You can take the biggest fan leafs supporting the fully grown nodes. Remove 1 set each day..you'll know about 4-7 days when your plant is going to flip. Therell be a massive stretch and you'll see lil hairs where the nodes break away from the main stem. And other places. Defoliation is perfect to do at this stage. As u know its flipping..as doing defols on autos can induce stress which can cause a premature flip.
Small stages, big old fan leafs. As the purpose of this this to transfer the energy into the smaller leafs developing on the nodes themselves.
Fifth week of life of MarioGianni!
She's going on flowering, and after six days she gained over 20cm. Not bad at all.
I've added power buds to the feeding schedule. She's making a cool bushy structure, I hope that she stretches more during the next week. Now the ppfd over the canopy is at 700. Maybe next week I'll raise it to 900.
I'm not feeding to much Alga bloom and calmag, right now, I don't want a nitrogen overdose.

Six week of life for MarioGianni!
She's stretched other 14 cm this week. I've defoliated a bit for increasing light penetration. Sugar Royal and Green Sensation is now in the feeding schedule. I've noticed some yellowing on the leaves: seems like a calmag/iron deficiency. The ph is ok and even the runout so I simply think that the filtered water that I use for feeding is too much filtered 😅 Time to try some decent water from the supermarket.
Now she's developing the flowers.

Seventh week of life of MarioGianni!
Finally she stopped stretching, I've dimmed the lamp correctly to bring the par at 800/900.
I really don't know what is causing this yellowing, the ph is apparently ok. Looking at the leaves I can see a deficiency (maybe potassium?). However she's going great 👍
Next week she will start to bulk for sure 😃

The smell of tropical citrus is irradiating all the room, lovely!
From now on I'll let her be without extra efforts. It will be a nice summer this year ❤️
I think I've corrected a bit the ph and nutrients in soil. I stopped using power buds, I don't know if it's useless after the first three weeks of flowering...anyone use it? Let me know!

10th week of MarioGianni!
She's bulking very well and smells soooo good!!!
I'll water her soil for two weeks with a little bit of calmag, nothing else.
