Day 74 - November 29 : I fed the plant with 5 lt of RO water + 1.5 ml/lt BioBloom + 1ml TopMax
I only watered it once this week. The plant stretches only a little for 2 weeks, this might be the last week of stretch. We are in week 6 of flowering.
I back off nutrients a bit after slight nut burn sign on some leaf tips. This is a sativa, almost wild.It actually resists excellently against stress but still you see some nut burn signs. But anyway, this can't stop its development. Its getting richer in buds and sugar each day.
Smell is pretty high at the moment.Home smells like smooooth berries. Its flavor while growing is actually delicious. You would want to sniff it all day.
Congo is 109cm at the end of the week.
Nothing much to say.Stay tuned and lets see how these buds fatten up.Plant itself has a very attracting shape. You feel that wild sensation while looking at it.Buds are thin, long and full of trichomes. Also they are reddish.
@oldtimer6455,who made autos of red congolese?really curious cause this one is a true killer, perfect sativa.they say that red congolese is a very rare and special one.auto of it,I don't know how will it be,hope it'll be great.with my congo,I had people passing out in the stands of stadium .and the guy in that last photo,he was just talking like "I've smoked best ever weed" blabla , I rolled up one,he only took 4 small hits and DEAD!!! he slept while dancing his head on his own hands like that.
At this time, I read a lot about Congo. Every time I come across your cover picture I am speechless. Beautiful, huge and all I can dream about. Congratulations on this one.
@sativaman, congo I grew in soil tasted better than congo grown in coco. What I understand of 2 grows is that ; organics + soil + minimum stress makes the Congo better.I have one more seed, every time I order seeds, one of them is always congo. I love that high and taste. You explained your experience which sounded very similar to this one but taste sounds different.Hope you confirm at the end. The area I used to live is hot and near sea so just like Ace says, congo would be great outdoors. I have a lot of seeds collected off this one though, I may plant some one day.
@VolcanoDigit, when you touch the main stem, you get a fresh smell mixed with mint and slight lemon. But buds smell completely fruity like grapes, berries etc. It has an amazing smell now,I don't know what it will look like after harvest.Buds all purple with a lot of trics on it and smells like a fruit garden.I think it's a must grow one.Wait for harvest and I'll post detailed review. There wasn't any diary of it though, hope this helps anyone looking for Congo.ur welcome :)
Nice diary!!
Will keep it in mind for my own congo grow.
Just to know, bcs stats say 12 to 14 weeks, trichomes went cloudy or didnt you have a microscope?
Im so excited to grow these!!!

@Organic_LarF, I love landraces,I've been growing since I discovered. We used to smoke quality turkish landraces here years ago,now it's all gone.country has potential but laws are ridiculously strict. this makes landraces here to lose value worldwide. this is the main reason I'm looking for landraces but from other parts of the world,Africans please me well,Nepalese was good as well, some central americans,I love landraces. I'll definitely be looking in landrace team website. Unfortunately I'm not planning for a new grow.real life needs improvements. Thanks for the kind words and im looking forward to see your Congo's journal.
@HighRoller909,
Correct, im mistaking with the congo strain of the landrace team. Thats some 12 to 18 weeks of bloom.
The better for us its only 10 to 12 with this strain.
If youre intrested in landraces, certainly give the landrace team a visit. They got a lot of strains, all sorted by region or continent.
Im curious about your next grow.

@Organic_LarF, thanks a lot mate. Mine went 12 weeks,ACE says it takes 9-10 weeks. I think 11-12 weeks can be expected. I always chop at full milky trics. This Congo was milky as well. One thing you'll notice is the smell during flowering.Wild berries & grapes
@Reaper, I believe it was green sensation which increased the taste and resin production.even the weakest looking bud has an incredibly stickiness.I trust in Plagron, they know their job, truly amazing products.their coco base is great as well.even the lowest branch's lowest side branch is longer than me at the moment with panama.
@HighRoller909, thanks for the info, i just did a waterchange and did it, 750ppm base nute and then 0.5ml/l green sensation, now at 860, i harvested a crop 2 weeks ago and also did this (only 1 week with this booster) and just like you said INSANE resin in the bag its like sand everywhere, so thats becus of that product ?π everyone messaging me how nice it tastes and such now i know why its so expensive. this is pure GOLD OMG i love you π
@Reaper, it works wonders, really. puts some on the ppm, increasing it,that's why I add it last to my solution. My ppm was at about 1-1.2 last grow with autos, they loved it. Plagron says it contains enzymes, extra pk,flavor enhancers with a secret formula.but seriously increased weight a lot and resin production.its color is also very catchy, like Poison Ivy's formula :D
Congrats on the Congo! Sounds awesome. It's always intrigued me, as it's supposed to have a super high-quality sativa buzz. Good call on the milky trichs.
Thanks for posting!
@HighRoller909 - ππ I am curious too. It's gonna take quite a while. I dentifying sex first then 11 -14 weeks flowering.
If I get a female, I'll be taking clones for sure.
Just came back to read your review AGAIN, knowing its gonna jack me-up!! Thanks for sharing your obvious opinion and I am just a couple weeks away myself.
Cheers Growmie and Thanks for the help getting me this far
@1Right_Angle, muchas gracias for the words, again. I really appreciate because this weed was the diamond that came at the right time in my life. The change in my life was so in sync with this Congo. Yours will be great as well. Δ°n my shop here,i cant find weed as good as this congo... They had malawi last month and it was the cheapest on the list... Shame for community. There should be more people being aware of gems like this. And your red congolese wish is still on my list,if i find,i will send it ;)
@LittleBigTrees, thank you. you should grow it,I'm sure you'll want to use it in a breeding session :) lovely strain, strong genetics, delicious taste&high.
I can't breed at the moment but if you can, please cross this one with nepalese jam,I'm very curious about the end product. this would be fire π
