It's HighRoller with another diary including a beautiful Congolese sativa. From Ace Seeds of course.Let's look what it sounds like : Congo by Ace Seeds is a sativa-dominant cross of two Congolese strains, Bangi Congo x Congo #3 and Pakistan Chitral Kush. This genetic combination offers consumers a clean, smile-inducing high that is brimming with positive energy. The mixture of stimulating sativa genetics and heady Kush genetics creates a blend of euphoric introspection and vigor. Enjoy Congo throughout the day to improve mood and stave off lethargy and depression. (leafly) This strain caught my attention.I love strains that make me talkative, energetic and giggly a lot.Congo has beautiful reviews on leafly and description page excites me. Seed put into 19L(5 gals) fabric pot with BioBizz Light Mix in it on September 12.It sprouted on 18th and I put it under 400W MH with a cooltube.Nothing much to say other than this.I'll feed her organic way and keep the humidity at %60.No feeding at week 1,only tap water (0.5 lt).I'll apply training tactics that I've not tried before, like supercropping and fimmin. A beast is just born...

Day 23 - October 9 - Congo is 19cm Day 25 - October 11 - Watered with 1lt of RO water including 1ml/lt BioGrow + 1ml/lt FishMix. Light distance is still 40cm Day 26 - October 12 - Congo is FIMMED at 7th node(look at the photos). She is 28cm at the moment Day 28 - October 14 - Watered with 2lt of RO water including 2ml/lt BioGrow + 1ml/lt FishMix. She drinks well but seems to be a bit N sensitive, there is slight clawing at leaf tips but there is not a problem yet, everything is good. She has wiiiiiiiiiiiidde leaves. It looks like an indica plant but it is called Congo,an African sativa. Leaf color is very elegant, solid green.I stopped giving Root Juice. Temps are 25-26,humidity %60(sometimes higher),light distance at the end of the week is 35cm.

Day 29 - October 15 : Congo is 39cm.There is a weak-normal smell. Day 32 - October 18 : I watered Congo with 2lt of RO water including 0.5ml/lt FishMix + 1.5ml/lt BioGrow . Congo is 47cm. Day 33 - October 19 : Congo's bottom branches have been LST'ed to get the light better because it is growing so fast.Light distance is somewhere between 20-30.Cooltube makes things easier. Day 34 - October 20 : Congo is 57cm.Smells only when you get close to the room. Day 35 - October 21 : Congo is 60cm This was the last week of vegetation.Since she has 60cm height,I had to switch it to 12/12 at the end of the week. There is a slight clawing on leaf tips but there is no nute burn sign.Giving FishMix and BioGrow together was a bad idea since it causes Nitrogen overload. But plant looks very healthy and happy.Overall she drinks well. Temps are at 26 when lights on,humidity is optimal at 60-65 range. She is growing toooo fast,I LST'ed her after FIM,which helps getting the light better.

FLOWERING BEGINS Day 36 - October 22 : Congo has been fed with 2lt of RO water including only BioGrow (1.5ml/lt) Day 37 - October 23 : Congo is 62cm Day 40 - October 26 : I supercropped Congo, broke the main stem (7-8cm below top) and tied it so that it stays horizontal.Plus,I flushed it same day, using 4lt of RO water. No pHing. Day 42 - October 28 : Congo is 80cm (Gained 20cm height in this week) This is the first week of flowering phase.Lights are switched to 12/12 mode. From 00:00 to 12:00.Since days are getting shorter and weather is changing, turning lights on at night helps me prevent extra cold. I supercropped it because it may have reached over limits pretty early. But fortunately it worked well,I didn't snap the stem just did it right way and tied it.It pointed up to light again in a day and I LST'ed that part again to stabilize it at a horizontal position.Upper part from the point I supercropped becomes more hairy and sticky day by day. There was a little N clawing for last two weeks, that's why I flushed it.Normally,I don't like flushing plants in soil unless there is a serious nutrient lockout.I just wanted to see what happens. The plant showed very little calcium signs right after flushing.Flushing only makes plants starve in my opinion.

Day 43 - October 29 : Main stem of Congo was pointed up again,I tied it to stay horizontal Day 45 - October 31 : Fed with 4lt of RO water + 1ml/lt FishMix + 1ml/lt BioBloom + 0.2ml/lt Aptus CaMG She showed signs of ca deficiency,I added Aptus CaMG(organic) to feeding water The plant seems to be very resistant against stress.I supercropped it,tied it, FIMmed in veg and she is pretty good looking one. Stretching on this plant is quite challenging.I would have had no room if I didn't supercrop it. Height is 90cm. The reason I switched to FishMix is that it is a good fertiziler that keeps the plant healthy. It does its job.

Day 50 - November 5 : I fed her 11th time with 4lt of RO water including 1ml/lt FishMix + 1.5ml/lt BioBloom + 0.4ml/lt CaMG.With lots of training,I maintained the top canopy level with her partner Nepal Jam. Day 52 - November 7 : Congo is producing buds.Pistils are straight white, calyxes are very small, almost non invisible but it's getting sugary.By sugar,I mean trichomes but I like to call them that way :) Day 55 - November 10 : I fed her again with 4lt of RO water including 1ml/lt FishMix + 1.5ml/lt BioBloom + 1ml /lt TopMax. This is the first time I gave her Topmax. In this week,Congo started releasing its smell. It smells like berries from mid range, pure lemon from close range and overall some chocolate tones. It's quite similar to Blue Dream(FastBuds). Its buds getting bigger day by day.I love how it looks. We are finally totally into bud production stage. Congo is 100cm at the end of the week.

Day 64 - November 19 : I fed her with 5lt of RO water + 1ml/lt FishMix + 2ml/lt BioBloom + 1.5ml/lt TopMax . Congo is 105cm Day 69 - November 24 : Fed her with 5lt of RO water + 0.5 ml/lt FishMix + 2ml/lt BioBloom + 1.5ml/lt TopMax . After 10 minutes,I gave her another 5lt of RO water but this was pure water,no nutrients included.Congo is 107cm The reason I did that last watering was because I saw some little nute burn signs on leaf tips.Growing wild origin sativas is not very easy so I have to measure things and take little steps each time. That last pure 5lt of water seems to do its job, nute burn didn't increase after that feeding. It released a lot of runoff water after that. Congo's shape is beautiful.Joyful and funky sativa.Straight, thinner top cola. Smell is getting stronger. It smells fruity, more like wild berries. I'm reducing FishMix level gradually. There is no need to feed her extra nitrogen in this phase.Plant looks healthy and green a lot. Will increase bloom fertilizers. This week, temps were at 23-24C and humidity was around %47-48. Environment is pretty good. Don't think it's a standard green bud, there is actually a whole lot of pink color in it.Photos are just not much detailed to see it.I'll show you in harvest page few weeks later if everything goes well :)

Day 74 - November 29 : I fed the plant with 5 lt of RO water + 1.5 ml/lt BioBloom + 1ml TopMax I only watered it once this week. The plant stretches only a little for 2 weeks, this might be the last week of stretch. We are in week 6 of flowering. I back off nutrients a bit after slight nut burn sign on some leaf tips. This is a sativa, almost wild.It actually resists excellently against stress but still you see some nut burn signs. But anyway, this can't stop its development. Its getting richer in buds and sugar each day. Smell is pretty high at the moment.Home smells like smooooth berries. Its flavor while growing is actually delicious. You would want to sniff it all day. Congo is 109cm at the end of the week. Nothing much to say.Stay tuned and lets see how these buds fatten up.Plant itself has a very attracting shape. You feel that wild sensation while looking at it.Buds are thin, long and full of trichomes. Also they are reddish.

Plant is getting really close to harvest.Still have white pistils but they are getting curled and brown. Buds are interestingly purple with a lot of sugar(trics :) ) on them. Its accompanier Nepal Jam is one week closer to harvest. It looks beautiful too. Plant still drinks well, some old fan leaves getting crispy. It stopped stretching.I still give it very little amount of TopMax,I don't think I'll keep doing it from next week. What is your opinion?

Day 102 - December 27 : Flushed Congo with 30lt of tap water,in bathtube.Runoff was dark brown first, then towards the end it was almost pure water.Nice to see the soil getting clean. Why I flushed Congo?Normally I don't flush my plants and had pure smoke every time. But Congo was pretty sensitive to nutrients and I saw nute burns everywhere.I thought the plant might need a break. But after flushing with 30lt of water,I gave her another 5lt of water including 1ml/lt of BioBloom.I don't want it to starve. Buds smell sooo fucking delicious,it's like a fruit garden full of grapes and berries. They are purple and have a lot of sugar on them. Main stem and branches becoming red in final phase, leaves fall off.Trichomes half clear half cloudy.

Okay,I wanted to grow landrace strains in this grow.Made searches and decided on Ace Seeds Panama,Congo and Nepal Jam.Panama was male, fuck it.Nepalese Jam was the smallest one and gave me super soft buds with perfect sativa high.I love it too.But Congo...Congo was a big excitement for me from the day I found it on internet.Reviews were great, infos were suitable.I ordered it and put it into the final pot on September 12.It sprouted on 18th,a bit later than Panama and Nepal Jam but it grew too fast that Nepalese Jam was left much smaller comparing to it. My plan was to keep them in veg for 6 weeks. At the end of the week 5,Congo was 60cm and I had to switch to 12/12 immediately. My tent height is 180 cm and I lose 40-50 cm because of HID lighting.I think that decision was correct because at the end of the grow,Congo was 110cm,only 20cm away from the light. I FIMmed it at week 4 I guess(must check back veg pages),LST'ed it afterwards and SUPERCROPPED it in the first week of flowering.Right after supercropping,I noticed that plant had more sugary things on stems and leaves.Maybe just like others say, supercropping increases potency.Smoke is really, really perfect. Both, tasteful and heady. Flowering period took almost 3 months, that's the most cruel part. But I don't care as it gives me arome and high I was looking for. I should add some info for people who are looking forward to grow Congo : Buy Congo seeds and start growing it.Thank me later :) Growing is not easy.Actually,it can be pretty painful. It can be nute burn easily even if you give only 1ml per litre of base nutrients.A little bit overload of Nitrogene in veg phase causes leaf tip clawing. Go easy with nutes.Congo can get over problems,it's a strong plant.Just don't overfeed it and let her grow the way it grows. She'll give you her love at the end. Too much training can cause stress. My Congo gave me some seeds in some buds but I don't really care because high is GREAT. This grow was an amazing experience for me.I love Congo and I think this is the strain that I will grow again and again SATIVA = CONGO0
