Growing it

ELECTRIC !!!
Right after first hit,yes only first hit,I feel electric in my veins,going up to my head,pressing on sides,making my eyes smaller,giving infinite energy and happiness.Wow,Congo is real fire! Buds smell incredibly berry/grapes and tropical with flowery details just like Ace Seeds talk about.I grew some other strains including "berry" in their name,none of them smelled berry.But this one is true berries,trust me.Calyxes are purple with a lot of trichomes on them which make it catchier.
It doesn't give me insomnia but it's definitely a day time smoke,because you need to enjoy it's happiness.Ladies and gentleman,this is not exaggerating,I FUCKING LOVE THIS STRAIN!
High is CLEAN,ENERGETIC AND POSITIVE.Taste is INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS,you get that tropical wild berries & grapes taste every time you hit the joint.Bullet-like buds are pretty compact for a sativa.
If you love exotic,beautiful looking,tasteful strains ; CONGO is exactly what you are searching for.It's powerful but clean,delicious but not regular and SATIVA BUT PURPLE !!!
Ace Seeds definitely created a masterpiece for marijuana industry.There is a little bit of Pakistan Chitral Kush in it as they say to keep the height and flowering period shorter.I think arome and colors are coming from that Chitral Kush.
But you know what? Congolese people know what they are doing :sunglasses: You can't get your ass up while getting chased by a lion on that wild lands,if you smoke indica .This smoke is really energetic and clean,no lions can get you when you are on it :)))
Beautiful,beautiful and beautiful.Masterpiece.Ace Seeds,thank you for making Congo.I think I'll only grow this one in my further grows.I'm a sativa guy .This is more original,better than any other hybrids and so called sativas on market.Congo has absolutely everything I want from a sativa.
Connoisseurs,this one is for you.Grow Congo or find some in your area.You won't regret,trust me :)
Positive effects
Negative effects
good all around nutrients.easy to use,some of them stink so bad.plants loved topmax.fishmix is a great nutrient as well.just don't use it alongside biogrow as it causes N overload.
only used it twice,I can't tell anything special about this product but I must say it's not a bad one.
Okay,I wanted to grow landrace strains in this grow.Made searches and decided on Ace Seeds Panama,Congo and Nepal Jam.Panama was male,fuck it.Nepalese Jam was the smallest one and gave me super soft buds with perfect sativa high.I love it too.But Congo...Congo was a big excitement for me from the day I found it on internet.Reviews were great,infos were suitable.I ordered it and put it into the final pot on September 12.It sprouted on 18th,a bit later than Panama and Nepal Jam but it grew too fast that Nepalese Jam was left much smaller comparing to it.
My plan was to keep them in veg for 6 weeks.At the end of the week 5,Congo was 60cm and I had to switch to 12/12 immediately.My tent height is 180 cm and I lose 40-50 cm because of HID lighting.I think that decision was correct because at the end of the grow,Congo was 110cm,only 20cm away from the light.
I FIMmed it at week 4 I guess(must check back veg pages),LST'ed it afterwards and SUPERCROPPED it in the first week of flowering.Right after supercropping,I noticed that plant had more sugary things on stems and leaves.Maybe just like others say,supercropping increases potency.Smoke is really,really perfect.Both,tasteful and heady.
Flowering period took almost 3 months,that's the most cruel part.But I don't care as it gives me arome and high I was looking for.
I should add some info for people who are looking forward to grow Congo :
Buy Congo seeds and start growing it.Thank me later :)
Growing is not easy.Actually,it can be pretty painful.It can be nute burn easily even if you give only 1ml per litre of base nutrients.A little bit overload of Nitrogene in veg phase causes leaf tip clawing.
Go easy with nutes.Congo can get over problems,it's a strong plant.Just don't overfeed it and let her grow the way it grows.She'll give you her love at the end.
Too much training can cause stress.My Congo gave me some seeds in some buds but I don't really care because high is GREAT.
This grow was an amazing experience for me.I love Congo and I think this is the strain that I will grow again and again
SATIVA = CONGO0
WOW I hope my future grow is as successful as yours. I am geminating Red Congolese autos on my next grow. Cant wait!!!
@oldtimer6455,who made autos of red congolese?really curious cause this one is a true killer,perfect sativa.they say that red congolese is a very rare and special one.auto of it,I don't know how will it be,hope it'll be great.with my congo,I had people passing out in the stands of stadium .and the guy in that last photo,he was just talking like "I've smoked best ever weed" blabla , I rolled up one,he only took 4 small hits and DEAD!!! he slept while dancing his head on his own hands like that.
Really enjoyed your final comments and review.
@Med_in_Tropic, thank you :)
At this time, I read a lot about Congo. Every time I come across your cover picture I am speechless. Beautiful, huge and all I can dream about. Congratulations on this one.
@sativaman, congo I grew in soil tasted better than congo grown in coco. What I understand of 2 grows is that ; organics + soil + minimum stress makes the Congo better.I have one more seed,every time I order seeds, one of them is always congo. I love that high and taste. You explained your experience which sounded very similar to this one but taste sounds different.Hope you confirm at the end. The area I used to live is hot and near sea so just like Ace says,congo would be great outdoors. I have a lot of seeds collected off this one though, I may plant some one day.
Holly smokes it looks fucking fantastic !
that looks amazing nice work
Nice diary!!
Will keep it in mind for my own congo grow.
Just to know, bcs stats say 12 to 14 weeks, trichomes went cloudy or didnt you have a microscope?
Im so excited to grow these!!!

@Organic_LarF, I love landraces,I've been growing since I discovered.We used to smoke quality turkish landraces here years ago,now it's all gone.country has potential but laws are ridiculously strict. this makes landraces here to lose value worldwide. this is the main reason I'm looking for landraces but from other parts of the world,Africans please me well,Nepalese was good as well,some central americans,I love landraces. I'll definitely be looking in landrace team website. Unfortunately I'm not planning for a new grow.real life needs improvements. Thanks for the kind words and im looking forward to see your Congo's journal.
@HighRoller909,
Correct, im mistaking with the congo strain of the landrace team. Thats some 12 to 18 weeks of bloom.
The better for us its only 10 to 12 with this strain.
If youre intrested in landraces, certainly give the landrace team a visit. They got a lot of strains, all sorted by region or continent.
Im curious about your next grow.

@Organic_LarF, thanks a lot mate. Mine went 12 weeks,ACE says it takes 9-10 weeks. I think 11-12 weeks can be expected. I always chop at full milky trics. This Congo was milky as well. One thing you'll notice is the smell during flowering.Wild berries & grapes
Congrats on the Congo! Sounds awesome. It's always intrigued me, as it's supposed to have a super high-quality sativa buzz. Good call on the milky trichs.
Thanks for posting!
@VolcanoDigit,pretty good resin producer
@HighRoller909, Would you say it's a good resin producer?
@VolcanoDigit,ur welcome. Give it a try and you'll see.High quality energetic head buzz and delicious taste
Great write up.
@HighRoller909 - :smiley::smile: I am curious too. It's gonna take quite a while. I dentifying sex first then 11 -14 weeks flowering.
If I get a female, I'll be taking clones for sure.
@Med_in_Tropic, thanks man good loving your zamaldelicas,I'm so curious about it :facepunch:
Just came back to read your review AGAIN, knowing its gonna jack me-up!! Thanks for sharing your obvious opinion and I am just a couple weeks away myself.
Cheers Growmie and Thanks for the help getting me this far
@1Right_Angle, muchas gracias for the words,again. I really appreciate because this weed was the diamond that came at the right time in my life. The change in my life was so in sync with this Congo. Yours will be great as well. İn my shop here,i cant find weed as good as this congo... They had malawi last month and it was the cheapest on the list... Shame for community. There should be more people being aware of gems like this. And your red congolese wish is still on my list,if i find,i will send it ;)
I've been wanting to grow this strain for a while, nice job, its on my to do list for sure :sunglasses::+1:
@Kalikushmush, thank you. you should grow it,I'm sure you'll want to use it in a breeding session :) lovely strain,strong genetics,delicious taste&high.
I can't breed at the moment but if you can,please cross this one with nepalese jam,I'm very curious about the end product. this would be fire :raised_hands:
