3/18/24 Dropped two seeds in water. Since these are also older seeds and I’ve been having small issues so I’m trying something new. Apparently small abrasions in the seed can help with water penetration of older seeds to initiate proper germination. So that’s what I tried. Let’s see how it goes!
3/19/24 put seeds in a seed starter mix.
3/21/24 one of the 2 seeds is going strong and vigorous.
3/22/24 both seeds popped
3/24/24 they’ve stretched a bit, needed to add soil to the small cups.
This will be the end of the week for germination
3/25/24 will be day one for week of veg #1
3/26/24 3 gal pots amended with 8 Tablespoons of Gaias 444.
The last time I was growing was about 3 years ago and I had always wanted to try Gaia green but it wasn’t available in the US. So I’m excited about getting to try something, previously unobtainable.
3/31/24 end of march and end of week and one veg. They haven’t grown too much. I switched them to their final grow space in my garage, from the warm bathroom in my house so I think they are getting used to the environment finally. Finally getting the environment dialed in for them. The garage on its own is a stable 50-60*F and RH 50-60%. I thought that would be easy to control with minimal swings. The light didn’t bring the temp up as high as I thought. Things are dialed in now and they should start taking off.
4/3/24 they’re working on their 3rd set of leaves. Looking bigger each day. Nice thick leaves. (Atleast compared to the trainwreck)
4/5/24 day 12, they’re stacking nodes, starting on the 3rd and showing it’s true stem. The leaves have these weird yellow markings. It looks more natural than environmental.
4/7/24 End of week 2 and fairly happy with these 2 young ladies
4/7/24 added worm casting(finally) lol
4/8 took off lowest node
4/10 they may have slower growth. Worried about my humidity at night.
4/11 growing more wide now. Trying to tuck leaves to show more of the nodes but they aren’t quite tall enough
4/14 day 21 end of week 3. Both phenos are thick and fluffy. I’m impatient and curious and decided to top one of them.
Ps. Early this week, they have shown pistils but it may just be showing sex
4/14 day 21. For future growers, I don’t think this plant likes hst or lay. The one I played with, just wouldn’t take to any of the training. It just made her growth awkward. She’s just awkward but looks great without being trained. No sign of pistils to date
4/18 still going strong with veg. Training is still questionable. I’ll let you know if I decide more.
4/20 the one plant that I didn’t think was doing so hot with the topping and training, is starting to seem more vigorous. She’s super compact and bushy until you open her up and defoliate a bit. Her branches are long. The internodal spacing is fairly wide and spread out. The plants seem to be going through a pre flower stretch. From the node on main stem to the branches first node is like 6 inches. But that’s brought the lower branches up closer to the main. Tying them down, makes them long and perpendicular to the main stem
4/22/2024
Day 29 showing plenty pistils, still in the transition to flower stage. Training may help the plant grow bigger/ longer stems. They can be semi bushy when spread out. Switched nutes to flower bloom from Gaia green
4/26 day 33? Last half of week 5 there has been more of a stretch than there was previous to this. These plants have been mad with a bit of over water and chlorine issues and maybe cal mag
4/27 day 34 end of week 5
The plants both stretched. The one I didn’t train,I can see a visible growth of about double the height, just over this last week.
For it being just a pre flower stretch/transition phase for the auto flowers, I am surprised at how many pistils are on the flower sights. The end of last week, I didn’t feel like there were enough pistils to consider it the beginning of flower, and now at the end of this week, it looks like this should be the end of week 1 flower, but they were still stretching.
4/30 one of the plants has actually visibly stretched more in the last 48 hrs. Starting to impress me with the pistols. Still way smaller than their projections online but whatever 🤷🏽♂️
5/4 end of the week and I’m pretty okay with their size now 😂 they went through a sizable stretch. I’ll have to get my measuring tape back in the tent because each time I’m adding to this diary, I question whether I’m on the right week or not because they look like dwarfs compared to the end of the week
5/5/2024
Pistils pistils pistils
5/8 these plants are fucking exploding! Super exciting to see them like this. Pistils everywhere and they’re just STACKING! don’t even see budlets yet, just pistils. The structure of these plants is beautiful. They handle training fairly well. I topped one and super cropped it and did a bit of lst. I was feeling impatient so I decided to see what happened if I pushed the one a little harder and left the other to grow naturally.
5/12/2024 these plants just keep on getting fluffier and fluffier. Did a slight defoliation. The plant I did training on, seems to have better stackage than her sister. If lst doesn’t increase yield, then it at the very least will increase bud size/stacking.
5/19 end of the week, they're starting to pack on weight now. Pistils are turning a super bright orange color that has a pink tint to it that is super beautiful. The camera does not do it justice at all. I would definitely recommend this strain to anyone. It's stupid easy to grow and the buds are just getting ridiculous. You could probably drop like 9 of these in 3 gal pots in 3x3 tent and just water and basic notes and do a sea of green style. Watch the humidity though.
5/20 another month has passed and I think these girls have another few weeks, I may give them a blast of some bloom boost from roots organic. I think she has another 2 weeks and the bloom boost is added weekly so I may just take it weekly until I'm happy with where she's at
5/27 curious to see where this week ends up at
5/29 the one plant indoors is packing on weight. The one I put outside to finish (possibly stupid) seems to be maturing faster but bulking slower. She's seemed healthy this whole time. Not even a burnt leaf tip
5/31 attempting to take pictures in different lighting to get a better idea for yall viewers
6/3/24
These genetics really chunk up.
I may have to harvest everything early. Luckily the autos in my tent are close to being done. They could be chopped now without much issue.
My whole tent system went out for about 8 hours and My humidity was 75 and my Temps were 73. I really hope everything is ok but that is a possible
6/5/24 she's still plumping up alot. She's going through water almost too fast now. Not giving anything but water and slf100 for a week or
6/10/2024 the fades coming in nicely. I probably could have pushed her with nutes for a couple weeks and possibly gotten her to thicken up a bit. But she is pretty thick as is. She's going through water quick and I keep forgetting and so she's finishing a bit quicker I think. I may chop soon but this plant is probably a 90 day strain. I feel like most autos can fall into that range
6/15/24 she was cut. I will add a harvest week soon.

Fairly hardy plants. definitely Train. better flavor with outdoor lighting, but giant, blown up buds when Under LED lighting.
Plant #1 I didn't train too much. Was gentle with this one. only spread out the bottom of the plant for more light coverage and better bud structure for lower buds(less larf). Also I put this one outside during flowering. was running out of space and we had some decent sun early this year so I let her finish out there. The buds are longer and thinner but dense for how leafy it seems. bright orange hairs on dark forest green colored buds. Smells and tastes sweet. maybe a little minty sweet. super giggly kind of stoned, which doesn't happen to me normally.
Big Bud #2 I trained and topped and was a little more rough on her. I like to try both extremes out of curiosity. This plant lived up to its name. I spread her out like a grid pattern and just filled in the spaces as I could. each node on each branch basically just popped nugs up. with the branches flat, the buds will follow the light and grow upwards. She's looks impressive but the smoke is mediocre. I do like the body stone from it. I may have dried it too long or something that was human error.
big bud #2 produced 46 grams. I only weighed everything today which is about 2 weeks after harvest. So give or take, the one plant was pushing 2 ounces off one plant.
big bud #1 produced less than an ounce but I actually enjoy smoking it more than the super fluffed out buds.
Will update more. Easy grow super easy to maintain once I figured out my environment. They like to chunk up nicely. Definitely top and train outwards, it makes a huge difference in the plants.
7/19/24 a month after cure. i didnt do anything special or baby the curing process. these are thick and chunky feeling. breaking up a nug and i noticed the texture was different and the buds were so sticky that they kept sticking to my finger. they werent that sticky 2 weeks
Wow what a grow man! Your diary is pretty on point with details.
I came here because I’m currently using Lotus Nutrients and they’re a pain in the dick to work with. I’m thinking of starting to use Gaia Green.
What do you PH your water to when you water your plants? Or do you even PH the water. It seems nobody PHs their water when using Gaia green. Do you also still supplement cal mag in the water or is that all in the gaia green?
Also do you reckon I could stop using lotus on my current run and use Gaia Green with my current medium of peat moss/coco/perlite?
Your grow really makes me want to make this move to Gaia.
@DaddyPrime2, to be honest I have no idea what I want to do or use. I’ve got a few grows under my belt. I’m definitely no expert and I’d have to say that feeding nutrients to my plants is my biggest weakness when it comes to growing.
Lotus works but it seems like I’m battling the whole way through using this line.
I heard the Gaia stuff does tend to have some cal mag issues near the end of the flower cycle.
There’s so many possibilities and combinations of stuff it makes it difficult to navigate the world of nutrients.
@Papa_T, I have also only used Gaia one run with 3 different plants. I only got it when I started growing again because last time I was growing, it wasn't available in the states.
Hell yeah dude! They're like twins! I guess I ended up with legit genetics. Those Big bud autos look freaking great man! I wonder if you'll end up with the pineapple terps that mine had after curing. Either way, great grow man!
@Grandmas_Boy, yeah I had to do a double take on your pics. I saw big bud custom breeder but it looked like My big bud As well. Could be the nutrients as well. Either way good looking plants
