This is really my first REAL grow. Tried tossing seeds in dirt before but didn't ever accomplish anything except learn a few lessons. This is my first attempt at growing cannabis in Canada where it was legalized for recreational use the day the seeds got dunked. Soaked 2 seeds out of 5. 2/2 germ. End of week 1 and one seed has popped. I put the other seed lower into the cube which took longer to pop out. I actually pulled it up half an inch to give it a boost before the roots took hold of the cube.

Week #2 is almost completed Few issues I've noticed so far but can't tackle until tomorrow due to commitments. The small reservoir (3 gal 1/2 filled) being off the ground is allowing it to get too warm. I'm also going to relocate my tent tomorrow into a different room. The ambient temp is a bit high and it won't suit my plans so it's tear down and relocate day tomorrow before any real issues raise their heads. Added GH trio at reduced strength even according to the seedling guide on the bottle. Added hydroguard to help with the roots and to hopefully deal with the excess res temp until I get to move everything tomorrow. Update on grow room setup once I relocate it tomorrow. Busy weekend and I'm going to be gone Thursday until Saturday evening so here's hoping everything runs smoothly in my absence. Update: tent is moved into new room. Reservoir change. pH 5.8

Week 3 from when the seeds hit the paper towel has started. Moved everything into the other space today. The furnace room was too warm and the res temp was way too high. It's now in another basement storage room. Ambient temp is 16°C. It should warm up once the bloom light is on. Once the seedlings are established more I'll move them to my large reservoirs and turn on my viparspectra to veg. Fresh res change, 1/4tsp/gal nutes with 2ml/gal hydroguard. pH ~6.0. Leaving it all alone for 2 days while I'm out of town so I'm hoping it'll all be alive when I get home with my new air pump, air stones, and small clip on fans. Need a few temp/hydrometer gauges for the tent as well. Roots on D1 are coming in really nice and appear to be looking for nutes. Update: thank you to Athos for answering my question! Not sure how to respond there as I'm too new to using this site. I was suspecting it was lack of O2 in the res. I've added another small Aquarium pump and 2 more air stones before I leave for 2 days. Fingers crossed D1 is perked up on as Saturday night when I return. I plan on getting a few final items as well. New pH and ec gauges, temp/humid gauges, clip on fan, exhaust fan for veg chamber, and a few other odds and ends. Check back Saturday night for my next update to this week Update After adding the second 4w air pump and 2 air stones and leaving everything for 2 nights it looks like the ladies really enjoyed the extra air. pH right at 6.0. Unfortunately the grow shops I visited had insane markups on all their products (50%-60% over online prices) so I decided to wait and order a new air pump online and get some hydroponic air stones as well. Day 19 update: noticed some discoloring on the leaves of D1. pH is good, should be adequate o2, temps are ok, growth looks ok, roots are clean and growing amazingly, so I decided it was time to transplant into its own res. To begin vegetative growth. Added 25L water with 2ml/gal hydroguard, and 5ml/gal nutes ph 6.3. D2 seems to be about 4-5 days behind D1. D2 roots just poked out of the net pots. Should be able to relocate into the veg res in 4-5 days. End of week 3 update: Some Brown spots on lower leaves and still increasing after adjusting the pH from 6.5 to 6.0. I'm thinking it's looking for more N. Going to wait a few more days before adding anything to the res. When lights go out the temp drops off quite a bit (22°c to 15°c) which spikes the humidity from 50% up to 80%. Time to do some work on the exhaust system to get things more stable. Hoping to do her first topping in a week to begin mainlining her.

Droopy leaves on a seedling in dwc top feed system. Would you think it's caused by (1)low temp (16°C),(2) low dissolved O2 due to small air pump making Large bubbles, (3) lack of nutrients due to still being on seedling feed schedule, (4) low humidity.

It's lack of oxygen, get a better airstone and / or air pump. Low humidity does not kill a plant, it just grows slower. If it were lack of nutes the leaves would be yellowing. You really need an EC/PPM meter for hydro and soilless media. Good luck

Week 3 day 1. Day 22 from seed. 15 from popping. I determined that the brown spots on my lower older leaves were caused by phosphorus deficiency which was caused by the extreme temperature swing from lights on to lights off (25-14°C). I decided last night to warm up the room during lights out by using a space heater. When I checked on them this morning I didn't see any more brownt than was there last night and the leaves were perked back up reaching for the light like they should. Glad I learned something and it didn't ruin the whole project. Day 27 update: Topped for the first time. Took one top to try and clone as a test. Day 28 update: end of week 4 and the plants are still alive 😂. Temps are a little higher than I would like right now which is causing low humidity (35-40%). I've had a bucket of water in the tent for 3 days without much improvement. I've run an air stone to the bucket in the tent to try and increase the humidity. I'll lower the space heater thermostat to try and lower the room temps and see if I can get the humidity up above 50%. Learning a lot on my first grow. I'm hoping when I have larger plants in bloom the humidity and temps will be more appropriate.

First day of week 5. Some light brown spots appeared today on the fan leaves of D1. Will fill some buckets tonight to do a full reservoir change tomorrow. New growth at least looks healthy. I'm struggling with a low humidity situation at the moment. Temp inside the tent is at 26°C humidity is at 35% . Outside the tent it's 20°C with 45% humidity. I've choked off the exhaust to reduce the air exchange rate, have a gallon of water in a bucket with air stone in it, I spray 2 times at least a day (which may have caused the brown spots today maybe?), And have another small container with water in it. But now I really just need to go buy a humidifier. Day 31 update: bought a humidifier last night. Put it in the tent on low and humidity jumped to 92%. Put it outside the tent in the room and the humidity settled to about 56%. Stems are purple but new growth looks good. Going to pick up some Cal mag when I can. Day 32 update: tried some lst to bend down the two mains. I realized I jumped the gun on the first topping. Newbie excitement I guess. I almost broke off one of the new mains on D1. Half the leaves went limp but after a few hours it was perked back up. D2 has pretty much caught up to D1 now. D2 seems to be more resilient to my learning curve with temp and humidity issues. Hasn't shown nearly as much signs of stress. Still hope I can get my ppm meter this week. Flying blind isn't much fun. pH = 6.0

First day of week 6. New high volume air pump and air stones are making the girls happy. Some of the mains are messed up from my attempt at lst. Lesson learned. My TDS meter showed up today. My tap water was 20ppm so I definitely need some Cal mag. likely causing my purple stems. Mixed the nutrients at half strength again and it came out to 800ppm. Also Plucked some fan leaves today. Day 40 update. D2 is growing much faster than D1. It's also shown less sign of stress when I was fighting with my temps and humidity. I'm hoping it'll be the better producer and I'll select clones from D2 to continue my grow after my first 2 cycles to compare. Plants have been topped twice so far but I've learned that cutting the mains off when the new growth is so immature isn't the best idea. First issue is damaging the new growth sites inadvertantly. A tiny scrape on a baby growth tip resulted in half of a fan leave fan being damaged. The second issue is the mains are too short to bend over until they grow out more so you're really slowing down the root growth and slowing the plants ability to recover. pH has been pretty stable since the res change at about 5.8. Ppm is steady as well after the res change. Immediately after the res change the ppm was at 800. The next morning it was roughly 670 and has stayed there every since. My Little plants haven't drank enough to top up the res yet. With a 7gal volume I'm guessing maybe a gallon/week which is about an inch in water depth. The plant growth rate is amazing me. I left it for 30hrs this week and it blew my mind how much of a difference I can see. For a first time grow, this is much more than I expected at this point. I figured I'd have used up all 5 seeds trying to even get one past the seedling stage The bad side is I have an obsessive personality and can't stop looking at the photos I take 😂

Fresh res change last night. Plants are still alive. Can't figure out my purple stems. Boron deficiency? Plants seem healthy otherwise. Another week or two of veg before moving to the adult tent. Day 54: did some lst last night. pH is steady at 6.1. ppm is 1160 Day 56: some spots appearing on older leaves. Res change night tonight so hopefully they stop. Moving the girls into seperate reservoirs as well as moving them under the LED in the 3x3 tent.

Day 57. Moved the plants into their own reservoirs and placed them in the 3x3 tent under the LED. Still on 18/6 for another week or two. Waiting to hit 12-15" before flipping to 12/12. Increased the pH to 6.3-6.4 to provide better calcium and magnesium uptake. Day 62: one clone is taking root so I think it's time to put it in an incubator (small top fed reservoir) until the roots have established. Decided to flip to 12/12 after tomorrow's res change. Pretty nervous but the excitement is outweighing that.

I advice you to keep growing the same way. And as you are growing with GHE flora series take a look at the Lucas formula feeding schedule to have another feeding chart option.

Everything appears to be rolling along. The buds are shimmering in trichromes and the smell is really starting to develop. Checking the trichromes with my super macro on my Olympus tg-2. Some are cloudy but vast majority is still clear. Thinking 3-4 more weeks to be fully developed. Day 110: Cola's are gaining mass and a few hairs are starting to turn orange. Had to add plain water to reduce the ppm and to raise the pH due to some to tips continuing to brown. Mostly nervous now about bud rot and equipment failure. Will do another defoliation soon to allow the buds more light now that they're all larger. Day 112: D1 fell into the reservoir sometime today. Had to MacGyver something to stop it with zip ties.

Ran out of gro so switched to the Lucas formula. Watered it down to 850ppm as the girls seem to dislike anything more than that. Checked trichromes and I'm guessing another 2 weeks and I'll be in the middle of the harvest window. 2-3 day flush and harvest at week 10 of flower. Hoping to get 6 jars out of these.

Busy weekend so I'm late with the update. Everything appears to be running ok. Checking the trichromes and they are beginning to turn cloudy. I may have overestimated the harvest date. This is week 9 of flower but it may take 11-12 weeks to get the trichromes all cloudy with some amber. Hopefully the flowers will gain more mass before then.

According to the trichromes I'm guessing there's more than 2 weeks remaining before harvest. I'm looking for all cloudy with some amber trichromes and the majority of them are still clear with slightly cloudy. Anyone able to give me a more accurate timeline? 1 week? 2 weeks? 3?

Hi @StinkyPinky! Unfortunately every situation is different, every strain has its own way to ripe and every setup/environment has an impact on resin production. The most important thing is to do a daily trichomes inspection, only you will be able to determine precisely the harvest window. If you want some amber trichomes in your ratio then you will have to wait, they will show up once the harvest window is closing, but this will give you enough time to find the D-day. You might consider harvesting on a new moon, as the gravitational effect will limit the quantity of water in the plant. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing! 👊

Buds are slowly growing but they're dense af. This is week 10 of flower but I feel like another week or two is needed to finish up. Waiting for all cloudy trichromes with a few amber. Patience is a virtue I don't have.

Day 134. Buds don't appear to change much day to day. There is some foxtailing on the higher buds due to being too close to the light. Trichromes are still somewhat clear which I'm guessing it'll be at least another week or two until they're cloudy enough to harvest. This is the beginning of week 11 flower and I believe the longer flower time is a combination of the LED light as well being a sativa dominant hybrid. Hoping the buds will gain some more mass in the next week or two. Once I see all cloudy trichromes I'll flush for 3-5 days and harvest.
