Hey guys😀. Kicking off a fresh rotation. My first grow with full climate controls, and on two grow spaces for veg and flower. Along with my first known genetics. Its basically just been practice up to this point. Happy to be here to add to the meticulous logging of information you have going here. It has been phenomenally useful to me. I have been referring to grows here to help me along for a good year now. So thanks to everyone who did their best and recorded lots of data.
Quick overview of the grow. I will be growing 4 photoperiod Cookies Gelato from Royal Queen Seeds in 5 gallon fabric pots. The soil is a blend. 1 big bag of Happy Frog, 1 big bag of Ocean Forest, and roughly cut with 20% overall volume of perlite. This seemed like an OK place to start while I learn more about mediums. Thats a whole world on its own, but I am learning.
Veg "tent" is a converted walk-in shower. I framed up the face of it with grow tent material, and lined the walls with the same. It has a XS3000 PRO in it. It is very easy to maintain any desired temp and RH in here and has been very effective in raising testbed plants.😎 There is a second XS3000 PRO here if I want overkill, or to be ready for the eventuality of another tent.
Flower tent is a typical Vivosun 4x4. It is currently host to a SCROG and some autoflowers, which I grew as testbed plants as I pieced together my setups. They are doing relatively OK given their timeline and circumstances. They should be well out of the way when the plants for this diary are ready to be moved into this flowering tent. I have included an image of this above if you wanna check that out. Its almost in week 5 of flower, and the autos in there are not far behind.
500ppm tap water coming out at 9.6ph here, so there is an RO system at play for feeding, cool mist humidifiers, and coffee maker preservation. Waste ratio is 2:1 and the runoff is saved for domestic purposes. Heaven forbid some tap water go down the drain and right back into the municipal water supply to be treated and used again.😂
Thanks for reading. Looking forward to logging and engaging in some back and forth. Thank you for your time and efforts.
@A_Stoned_Llama, I probably should have been more specific. The big one in the middle is a photoperiod. Its supposed to be a Huckleberry via The Bank Genetics out of Denver but it is not 100% certain thats what it is to be honest. There are 3 little autoflowers in the corners of other varieties. I got a little cramped for space so decided to gamble their outcomes on a 12/12 cycles with the photoperiod. They all flipped around the same time, and I needed some room.
@Brixx, Well now you can enjoy the fruits of your labor, until you decide to upgrade or expand again haha. Those autos look great though, seems like you learned enough already to have a very successful run, no doubt.
@Z1US, Hi. I started it on the 2nd click which is the 30% setting. Rains 250-300 ppfd down at these settings and distance. Mind you just using one of the XS3000s right now not both. Method is the UNI-T UT383BT Lux Meter paired to PPFD Meter app. The performance on these little units is actually quite impressive. I will start noting things like that in the weekly comment as they change.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to inquire about whatever. Will do my best to give a good answer.
