This week I began to notice a few deficiencies starting on some of my larger plants! I transplanted all the plants into various 2 and 3 gallon pots I had laying around. These won't be the final containers but I need something to veg in! I need to go get more soil and I need a lot! I want to run seven 15 gallon pots this cycle. These pots should serve fine until then! I still have the HLG Blackbird on setting 1 giving my plants around 100 par I'm sure! I plan on increasing the light strength to setting 2 tomorrow to actually get the growth kickstarted!
Ethos Lilac Diesel #22 (x) Grandpa's Cookies #7- This plants leaves were still looking a little darker but it's definitely been doing better since I got it out of the cramped clone tent! It was transplanted to a 3 gallon pot using Build A Soil Lite. I also used Mykos on its transplant. It was kind of root bound, but not too horribly! I'm hoping this transplant does it a world of good. It still seems strong for the most part! I'll probably take a clone off this plant in the next week or two to add to the mother tent! This plant smells a little gassy when you rub it's stem! Which I know doesn't translate to flower flavor. However I've never had a plants stem smell gassy. My Raspberry Ripple phenos stems kind of smell like peppermint honestly. This plant has been nice to grow so far and has kept up well with my clones. It's just as tall as my biggest Raspberry Ripple #1 clone! I can't wait to see this one in flower.
Mosca Seeds (x) Tiki Madman: Raspberry Ripple #1 (clones)- The #1 clones really started out pacing their little half gallon pots with their bushy growth. The biggest one of them really started to yellow out on me. They were pretty much demanding a transplant. I put the two that were slightly larger in 3 gallon pots and the two that were a little smaller in 2 gallon pots. They've been up to their usual veg behavior! They have thick stalks, lots of nodes and tons of leaves. I'll probably defoliate them a little this week after they get used to the increase in light. These plants were the most rootbound when transplanted and seemed to really need bigger pots.
Mosca Seeds (x) Tiki Madman: Raspberry Ripple #2- The Number 2 Phenos were not growing as fast as any other plants. They usually don't! So they only got transplanted to 1 gallon pots which should hold them over fine! Other than being small, they do grow a lot of branches and behave kind of like a miniature version of its sister in veg. I don't like her flowers as much. Even though she is pretty frosty, the density factor isn't as nearly as nice as her sister strain and her smells aren't nearly as potent! Still a nice plant! I hope putting these in bigger pots will increase the density factor. I've only ever ran this particular Pheno in 5 gallons pots.
Other than that I've just been watering in at around 6.4-7.0 pH, I did do a little a little trim to maintain my mother plants this week and a top dress feed. This really seemed to help them and gave me some more space in my mom tent which is always needed. I sprayed all plants with EM-5 this week to keep things nice and clean especially now that the flower tent plants are a little bigger I was able to really give them a nice spray down.
I think thats about all for this week! Thank you for checking out this entry of my grow diaries! -Starfish
good job bro keep going. i can see the purple colors are coming out . you are one of few persons i saw to do cover cropping beside main plant you did great job dude your terpens will flow
@Grower_Of_Persia, the cover crop seemed to really help even the soil out. I noticed it helped keep this layer of moisture in the top soil and keeps it from getting hydrophobic. Thank you for your feedback and checking out my grow diary!
