FastBuds Californian Snow is an autoflowering hybrid with a life cycle of 63-80 days and grows to a medium height. I will be topping this plant, in addition to using some LST and doing some defoliation as needed. She will be started under LED lights and moved to HPS when she starts flowering. The setup for this grow will be:
Veg Tent - 3'x3'x6'
Flower Tent - 4'x4'x6.75'
6 in 440 CFM fan and filter
3 gallon fabric pot
Pro-Mix HP + 20% extra perlite for aeration and drainage
Veg lights - 2 x Viparspectra PAR450 - 200W actual ea
Flower lights - 600 watt Eye Hortilux Super HPS in aircooled fixture
GH Flora series nutrients with GH Supplements,Terpinator & Hydroguard
11/20 - Seed placed in moist Root Riot plug.
11/24 - Sprout above ground
11/25 - Day 1, just some tap water pH to 5.8.
11/30 - Day 6, fed 190 ppm Clonex solution pH set to 5.8, moved to 3x3 LED tent.
12/4 - Day 10, this one is developing a little slower, but I think she will catch up to the other girls in the tent.
12/6 - Day 12, not much change but 2nd node is developing
12/7 - Day 13, fed again with full strength seedling solution according to GH DTW schedule. Mixed to 265 ppm and pH was set to 5.8.
12/9 - Day 15, fed according to GH DTW schedule 50% strength early growth wk. Final ppm was 445 and pH was set to 5.8.
12/12 - Day 18 fed at 400 ppm and pH set to 5.8 according to wk3 of GH DTW schedule mixed at 50% strength on base nutes.
12/14 - Day 20, topped at the 4th node.
12/15 - Day 21, gave water + Hydroguard, pH set to 5.8, and watered until runoff for first time.
12/18 - Day 24, she's putting out new growth from the topping, and should begin showing preflowers this week.
12/19 - Day 25, fed at 800 ppm mixed according to late growth week of GH DTW schedule, with pH set to 5.8.
12/25 - Day 31, playing Christmas Catch-up on all my diaries, She was fed today at 1050 ppm according to Transition week of GH DTW schedule with pH adjusted to 5.8. She is stretching a little and looking better.
12/30 - Day 36, she is stretching and heading for bloom.
12/31 - Day 37, fed her with transition nutes and performed some training. Added a few LST anchor points to open up the center of the plant a little more.
1/4 - Day 41, gave water + Hydroguard pH set to 5.8. She has responded well to the LST..
1/6 - Day 43, she should begin pushing out pistils shortly. She is very shorty and bushy, and her stems are strong. She shouldn't have any trouble supporting her harvest.
1/9 - Day 46, fed her at 900 ppm according to early bloom wk of GH DTW schedule with pH adjusted to 5.8. Runoff was 1060 ppm and pH was 5.9
1/15 - Day 52, fed her with mid bloom nutes, her flowering is progressing slowly. Final runoff was 1310 ppm and pH was 5.9.
1/18 - Day 55, gave water + Hydroguard with pH set to 5.8. Trimmed a few lower budsites and a few fans during watering. Final runoff was 758 ppm and pH was 6.
1/21 - Day 58, fed her mid bloom nutes, pH set to 5.8.
1/24 - Day 61, fed her mid bloom nutes but dropped Rapidstart, pH set to 5.8. Final runoff was 1150 ppm and pH was 6. I defoliated a few fans during feeding. Her bud sites are stacking up nicely.
1/27 - Day 64, Gave water + Hydroguard with pH set to 5.8. Final runoff was 1180 ppm and pH was 5.9.
1/30 - Day 67, Moved her into the HPS tent today and gave water + Hydroguard with pH set to 5.8. Final runoff was 700 ppm and pH was 6.1. Took her down a bit too low. She was defoliated during watering as well.
2/2 - Day 70, fed her with late bloom nutes with pH set to 5.8. Final runoff was 890 ppm and pH was 6.
2/7 - Day 75, fed her with late bloom nutes, with pH set to 5.8. Her buds are solid and starting to frost up nicely. She may be short and fat, but she's all buds. Final runoff was 1100 ppm and pH was 6.
2/10 - Day 78, fed her with ripen nutes, with pH set to 5.8. Final runoff was 1080 ppm and pH was 6. She is starting to look like some kind of air defense system for my grow tent, like a battery of SAM missiles.
2/13 - Day 81, gave her water + Hydroguard, with pH set to 5.8. Her buds are stacked up thick like spears, and dusted with sticky resin. She is reeking of limes and spice. Final runoff was 815 ppm, and pH was 6.
2/17 - Day 85, gave her ripen nutes, with pH set to 5.8. Final runoff was 1040 ppm and pH was 6.
2/20 - Day 88, gave her water + Hydroguard, FloraNectar, with pH set to 5.8. She is getting close to harvest and really getting frosty now. Final runoff was 700 ppm and pH was 6.
2/23 - Day 91, gave her ripen nutes again, with pH set to 5.8. Final runoff was 870 ppm and pH was 6.
2/27 - Day 95, flushed her with 4 gal of pH tap water, set to 5.8. Final runoff was 187 ppm and pH was 6.1. Her buds are rock hard and super dense. The plan is to let her go another 10 days or so.
3/3 - Day 99, gave her water with pH set to 5.8. She is flushed completely and heading towards the finish line.
3/6 - Day 102, gave her water with pH set to 5.8. Clipped some fans during watering to improve air circulation. She is just stunning. Her buds are rock hard, super dense and smell sooooo good! She should begin fading out this week, and chop will come soon after.
3/10 - Day 106, chopped her today. Did a wet trim and she is hanging and drying. Smoke and harvest report will be up in 10-14 days.
This stuff is my current go to in my stash! What can I say, she checks all the boxes! Density to the max, covered in trichomes, easy to grow, plus sized yields, and potency to boot. She starts off right between the eyes with a swirly rush of creativity and energy, and then relaxes the muscles and tension, melts away the stress, and leaves you ready to chill with friends, socialize, and have a ball. All this without ever making you feel heavy.
She was a breeze to grow from the very start. She responded well to topping, LST, and defoliation without a hitch, Side branched like no tomorrow and was covered in some of the densest buds I've ever grown. She took well to nutes and never complained along the way. This will stay in my seed stash as long as they make it.
@Lady_NugWitch,I think you kind of have to gauge it by how well the plant started out. I typically struggle with low humidity and vigor in the early stages. So I judge accordingly, and not always the best..lol
@@Fingers,
Dude, that is some crazy looking bud, I think I could smell it through the screen........... well done. Enjoying your grows, mad skillz, keep it realz.
Greazy
@Reaper, thanks Reaper. I definitely would get some. I have 6 more left in my pack. It was a Gold Rush 5+3 pack. Be sure to check out the other one i have growing. Much shorter, because she was under LED for the stretch, but all buds!
@LockDownGrow, I think nutrient regime, container size and environment all play a role in this. I've read that giving veg nutes until the stretch is over, delays flowering, as does training like defoliation, topping, and HST. Ive also read that the typical 8-9 week estimate is based on giving bloom nutes from the 3rd week, under HID lighting. Who knows for sure. But I do give veg nutes until stretch stops, and I grow under LED for veg, and HID for flower.
Looking awesome, brother! Really nice bright green color to it -- looks really healthy! I'm curious to see how this strain does, its one of the newer ones from @FastBuds, I think?? Looking awesome from here! 💪
