Tent has bird sounds playing at all times, it comes from the camera which is actually a baby monitor. There are also healing stones I picked up from a reputable shop in Madison, WI, Bernies Rock Shop (awesome people, highlight of my trip to Madison!). I included the rocks and sounds to provide a peaceful environment for the plants since like for all living beings, space comforts can really make a difference. There is a VivoSun thermometer/hygrometer in the corner so I can see stats from the baby monitor/camera app on my phone. The cardboard the camera is sitting on is just for height/visibility of the plants. Nutrients were used in coco on 7/15/2024 before seed sprouted on 7/21/2024 to give a good foundation of nutrients in the medium. Seedling fed and watered on day 4, 7/25/2024. Seedling is working on third node as of today August 1 2024, day 12. Seedling experienced heat stress for 3 days because I went camping and couldn't leave the vents open during the day. Temps were about 88 degrees and 86% Rh. For the last 24 hours temps have been stable at 78 degrees and Rh at 56-62%. Watered only on July 31 2024, plan to feed on August 4, 2024. Update: Not feeding today August 4. Yesterday seedling took a tumble and appears to have survived. I quickly rescued her by transplanting her into her final pot filled with moistened Fox Farm Coco Loco. I will wait to feed as she recovers, another 48 hours maybe.

I am planning on topping at node 5 and using the clipping to plant in a rockwool pellet for cloning. Would I still need a rooting gel if the clipping is being placed directly in a rockwool pellet? Appreciate the read, happy growing and learning.

Rooting gel stimulates root growth so I would def use it if you got one. Also you could just put the clipping in a dark glas bottle with just destilled water. Gives many roots verry fast. Much success and Happy Growing

How is the seedling looking? She took a fall yesterday afternoon and I immediately rescued her as I could and repotted into final 3 gallon fabric pot (actually 5 gallon but only had enough Coco Loco for 3 gallons). Thank you for the read, happy growing and learning. :)

I think it’s going to be fine. The break may also help strengthen that stem once it fixes itself. Just let it be and it will heal.

No nutrients yet as of August 6 for Kaboom, due to fall on August 3. She is looking healthy, showing signs of new growth, and is 3 inches tall so far. Update, August 7 - fed with half strength and watered until 25% runoff. Final pH 5.6. Plant is showing healthy growth and it feels like it grows a tiny bit more each time I check in on it Update, August 10 - watered (ph down and 1.5ml cal mag only). Began LST. I know I should top to promote bushy sideways growth, but she is naturally growing in a sideways fashion, so I am a bit on the fence at the moment. I think she is looking good so far. Update, August 11 - topped right as lights came on. Turned off exhaust fan to allow more humidity to trigger vigorous growth after topping. Once plant has grown a bit, I will resume LST. Probably should have left it tied down, but late to worry about now. Keeping her cozy and balmy with bird sounds and healing stones.

I will feed super lightly tomorrow on August 7, but want to what other growers think. Kaboom toppled over on August 3. I refrained from feeding to allow her time to stabilize and have only watered once since the fall. In your grower opinion, was waiting to feed necessary? thx 😊

Any hard and fast rules for deciding when to start LST? I plan on doing SCROG later on but would like to tie down branches before then. On Day 19 with 4 nodes so far.

I would wait till your side branches are between 7-10 cm. Then they are not that fragile and you have sth to work with. I like to cut off the first two pairs of side branches as soon as they show, when doing a scrog. So she gets a bit further away from medium and for better air flow. Much success 🤞and Happy Growing

Today is day 22, beginning of week 2 of veg. Looking good after topping yesterday. New growth already. Finding it hard to figure out LST, but making progress as soon as I see a leave that is shading another. Practice is helping toward perfection. I fed her today according to General Hydroponics Flora Series low/weak feed schedule. Did not use calmag because I realized there is already a lot of cal and mag in my tap water. I will be buying a 5 stage water filter reservoir so I will resume using it then. Currently only able to use tap water that is filtered through a Brita pitcher. Turned exhaust fan back on after initial 24 hours of balminess to promote growth and rh is back to normal parameters. August 18 update - It is summer in the northern hemisphere and guess who just got over covid? This plant mom. Ugh. Updates are dry this week because I was as sick as a dog. A couple of days ago I noticed purple stems on the fan leaves and the fact that the new growth was such a bright contrast compared to the older fan leaves. After a confirmatory TDS reading on the Apera meter regarding my suspicion of nutrient lockout, I flushed Kaboom 4 times to get her readings back to normal parameters. Today, day 28, (happy first month Kaboom) she is looking a lot better, photos and details in the next week :)

August 18, Day 28. Had to flush on Friday due to nutrient lockout. There were purple stems which caught my attention to a possible nutrient deficiency. Coupled by the dark green older fan leaves and bright green of new growth, my Apera TDS meter confirmed nutrient lockout. Kaboom was flushed a total of 4 times Friday night, then foliar fed at 25% strength the next morning. She was given 1.1 liters of pHd water since the top inch was already dry despite flushing the night before. I am taking her thirst to mean she is recovering well. I plan on resuming the GH least aggressive feed schedule tomorrow and will begin feeding with every watering. Now that she's on the mend from the nutrient lockout I can tell she's thirstier than what she used to be, I'm taking that to mean she's hanging in there. Friends, growmies, cousins, comrades, colleagues and cultivars. Updates last week were minimal because this plant mama came down with COVID. Flushing a plant during COVID fever is no joke. Stay well and healthy everyone. August 19, Day 29. Fed at least aggressive strength today until 25% runoff. Included a new supplement to the nutrient line up, silica. Today is the first time I use it so I went easy and used the weakest dose. Plant has 5 main sites so far, yahoozie. To top a second time? No se todavia, deja lo pienso jajaja August 21, Day 31.Topped one more time, clipped the tallest point to give the others time to catch up. I know I will need to defoliate a tiny bit, soon, but I'm a bit scared to remove either too much or a mega vital leaf. I'll watch videos about it and aim for next week. I sprayed the top inch with pH'd water and will feed and water tomorrow morning. August 22, Day 32. Fed and watered, no recharge since I used it on Day 29. As I repositioned the kabob sticks, I noticed a couple of milestones - she is in the very beginning stages of forming pistils and she is beginning to smell. I plan on keeping her in veg for at least 2 more weeks, hopefully this isn't super ambitious for a plant named Kaboom lol 😂 August 24, Day 34. I checked on Kaboom and found that the top inch was totally dry so I fed and watered her. I used everything except recharge, but will use it at next feeding since I'm aiming for 10 days in between applications. I think Kaboom is looking fabulous

August 27, Day 37 10:30am. Removed kabob sticks to get ready for scrogging. Will install trellis later today or tomorrow. I know I have to move quick with the trellis while the branches are still flexible, just need peace and quiet to do it. Watered only with pH'd water. Was considering feeding with every watering at this stage, but worrying about more nutrient lockout made me reconsider. After just watering and reading the TDS meter the medium is reading what it did when I last fed, confirming my nagging worry. Thanks plant Spidey senses (Spiderman reference) lol. Left nutrient list as is so I don't have to fill them in again since General Hydroponics stuff isn't listed. Day 38, August 28, 11am. Installed trellis last night and I realized my tent is not as spacious as I thought since I have 75% of the trellis left lol. For now, it feels a bit clumsy, almost like there's not enough plant or tent to require the trellis. The kabob sticks are still very helpful and I'll continue to use them. Kaboom still has yet to reach flowering so I'm confident that with time she'll fill out the new setup. So far, the only thing that has been difficult about this grow is figuring out which fan leaves and/or likely to be larfy areas to trim. At this rate, I think she will need watering and feeding tomorrow night or early Friday morning. August 30, Day 40, 9am. I watered and fed Kaboom with an entire gallon of nutrient water, I usually used only 75% of the gallon since runoff was always abundant. I will admit that the newly installed trellis does slow me down considerably and it could be that the water is being better absorbed by the medium rather than draining out the bottom right away. Used all nutrients including recharge which I am excited yet nervous about. In the following 48 hours after using recharge, there is a growth spurt that occurs and Kaboom has been doing her thing.... We shall see what jungle control I'll have to take in in the next couple days. As always, thank you for stopping by. May all the growmies have good luck and even better yields 💯💚

September 2, Day 43. I removed the trellis because it was annoying and I realized the spaces were too large and that's why it felt clumsy... Kabob sticks are doing the trick so far. As I was clipping some leaves to prepare for flowering, I noticed roots growing through the bottom of the pot. I hate transplanting plants so I sat the current pot in another pot that was filled 30% with additional coco coir that had been prebuffered with seedlings strength nutrients to avoid shock. I am confident the roots will continue their journey through the first pot and into the additional space below. Now to observe for a few days, aiming to switch to flowering next week. I have removed at least 30 leaves throughout the last week and she is still looking so bushy and healthy... Thanks Recharge. I ordered Big Bud by Advanced Nutrients and I look forward to using it during flowering. SUPER MEGA HAPPY UPDATE Day 44, September 3. I clipped a branch and planted it in a prebuffered with seedling strength nutrients rockwool pellet... I baptized her Kaboom Baby.... And. She. Survived!!! Ahhhhh!!! So freaking happy! I am going to start a second grow under this diary called Kaboom Baby, La Reinita Africana. Update, Day 46, September 5, 11am. Fed and watered with all nutrients except Recharge. Kaboom Mama is growing wild and free. I had so many training plans but I like her this way. As always, thank you for stopping by. If you have any thoughts about this grow, please leave them below. Happy growing and massive yields to all 💯🙏💚

Day 50, September 9, 10am. Kaboom Mama is well on her journey and growing wildly. Today will be the first day of flowering and I have changed her light schedule to 12 on 12 off. She has been fed and watered and will rest due to light/heat stress. I may have overextended myself with trying to keep a clone in the same tent; trying to find a happy middle for both stressed Kaboom out. She has a few curving to the side leaves and some pale ones too. Yikes. For comfort, I have the bird sounds playing as always and give her a day in between frequency music sessions for a break. When she has her sessions, it's usually for 24 hours at a time. She has been most resilient thus far and I'm confident she'll continue that way. I removed the kabob sticks and will let her grow as she wants to. As always, thanks for the visit and happy growing 💗

Day 58, September 17 10:30pm. Watered with Armor Si and Calmag. I had been using the least aggressive feed but she appears to be getting thirstier by the day so I bumped up to medium strength and always include Armor Si and Calmag. Now that she's in early flowering she is likely experiencing the home stretch growth spurt. I removed 13 leaves and will not be defoliating anymore. She has been very good with defoliating a bit here and there and not all at once. As always, thank you stopping by. If you have any thoughts or advice to share about my grow, please do so below. Very happy growing and juicy harvests to all of us

Week 8, Day 63. September 22, 5:38pm Kaboom Mama is doing very well! She continues to grow and buds are beginning to form. I realized the plant needed more nutrients and have given full strength of all nutrients and she appears to be doing well. She now requires water every 24-36 hours. Two days ago I give her 1.5 liters of water with with pH down, armor Si, Cal mag, and half a teaspoon of Recharge. Today, I gave her a gallon of water today with all nutrients except Recharge. I plan to water again within 36 hours with armor Si, Calmag and Big Bud. The fabric bag is becoming calcified so I will flush before the next full feed. As always, thank you for stopping by. Happy growing and prosperous harvesting 💯💚

Day 73. October 2, 2024 1:15pm Kaboom Mama is coming along nicely. Last week was mostly impossible to keep humidity under control, but after installing an EvaDry dehumidifer in the tent, we are finally back on track. I stopped watering/feeding as the humidity settled and I came to a giant realization: I was over watering because after 5 days of no watering or feeding, she was just fine. I gave her nutrients in 3 liters of pH'd water and after 45 minutes gave 1.5 liters of pH'd water. I am hoping these modifications will help distribute water and nutrients more appropriately. I have been very observant because I am terrified of mold and the plant is technically in 2 fabric bags which might create more trapped moisture. I also placed a bigger fan in the tent, I realized the mini desktop one was nowhere near enough. Otherwise, Kaboom Mama is doing quite well and buds are coming along. As always, thank you for the visit. Please leave any thoughts or advice below, I look forward to them 😍 Very happy growing and bountiful harvests 🙏

October 18 2024 11:45 am. Kaboom Mama is 89 days old. She is now showing sugar leaves and is sticky. Lower leaves are dying off which at this stage I know is common. I skipped last week because there wasn't much change to document. If this continues I'll update biweekly. Happy growing and hefty harvests to all ❤️
