MisterZ Hello friends,
This time I chose this feminized strain Jack47 https://sweetseeds.com/en/photoperiod-dependent-seeds/42-jack-47.html. What attracted me are the parents of this variety and its sativa dominance.
The site lists the main characteristics but nothing more. Thanks to this network, thanks to everyone, I consulted several diaries even though there are quite a few. This plant is likely to be big. So my main concern will be to keep it low. Finally, I expect about 15 weeks at a minimum. Here’s the challenge I’ve taken on.
2024-08-09 - seed out of my wine cellar. In a small glass of water that I shake from time to time. As soon as the seed stays at the bottom of the glass of water, I soak a 15-liter bag of soil with 3 liters of water. Seed at the bottom of a 1cm deep hole and covered with half a plastic bottle. Led 60%.
2024-08-11 - germination, the adventure begins!
See you soon, M.

MisterZ Hey friends,
The temperature is rising to 34° in my little tent, so I moved the plant into my closet. I think this heat has temporarily slowed down its development. For now, everything is fine. Not very interesting to take photos of a tiny plant...

MisterZ Hello fellow growers,
Madame Jacqueline can't stand up. She's collapsing, I brought the soil closer to help her and ended up propping her up.
Otherwise, nothing to report on the development.

MisterZ Hello friends,
On day 21, the 5th node is clearly appearing. I cut just above it. I also removed the branches from the first node. The plant doesn't seem to have suffered. The next day, the growth seems to pick up again.
It has straightened up nicely, I think I’ll remove the stake soon.

MisterZ Hello grower friends,
The conditions are slightly cooler in my closet this week.
Madame Jacqueline has held up well and recovered from last week's topping. The 2 branches that are developing in its place are already 4cm. The lower branches are about 12cm. For now, she is perfectly symmetrical 😳. There are 8 branches that I hope to stretch horizontally as soon as I harvest the other plant in my closet.
I've started feeding, the leaves have an ideal color.
I've added EC (electrical conductivity) in µS/cm to my monitoring. This EC follows the moisture curve of the soil, the trends are exactly the same. Moreover, I use organic fertilizers and I'm not sure these values are significant. I even plan to measure the EC of the minerals in the tap water and a bit of the minerals provided by the fertilizers. It's hard to interpret.

MisterZ Hello friends of ganjabinol,
All is well. After cutting the head of Madame Jacqueline like a queen overwhelmed by the people, I'm starting over and cutting the 2 new heads. She's already bounced back and is developing 4 new branches. The little brat. I added a photo with the 3 cuts circled in red.
The technical sheet indicates sativa but the leaves look like an indica. No matter, LST this week. I'm going to torture Madame Jacqueline like a witch from the Middle Ages.

MisterZ Hello. I started LST on the 40th day and switched to flowering the next day. Development resumed the following day. There’s a lot of tension on the last node that didn’t break. I also adjusted the nutrients to a ratio of 15-14-20. The temperatures have dropped nicely, I water about every 5 days.

MisterZ Hello grower friends.
The flowers are starting to form. The plant is gaining size. Everything is going well. I trimmed some lower leaves that won't see the light anymore. I'm continuing with this fertilizer combination in a 15-14-20 ratio.
Happy growing to all,
M.

MisterZ Well, Madame Jacqueline isn't doing very well. I think she's suffering from the humidity. It rained a lot this week ~ 80 mm over 9 days. My garage is humid at 85% RH as well as my closet. Many lower leaves have yellowed and dried out. I've limited watering to a minimum and turned the fan up to a higher speed. The stretch seems to have slowed down. No panic, we'll see how she evolves next week. 😄

MisterZ Hello. The stretch is over. The flowers continue to thicken. The plant is practically stripped of its large leaves. The problem is the high humidity in my closet. The consequence is the VPD being too low for flowering. A deliciously fruity smell has appeared. Exactly the description from the site: a mix of sweet citrus.
I continue watering with 14-15-20. Waterings are more spaced out because the soil stays moist longer in this ambient humidity. I only water with one liter at a time.
Everything is going well 👌
Happy growing, friends 👋

MisterZ Hello. The plant is almost ready. Under the microscope, all the trichomes are milky with very few amber ones. In less than a week, it will be ready for harvest. Its technical sheet indicates about 66 days of flowering. Probably some stress hastened its flowering, especially during the stretch, which ended very quickly. The photos are misleading; it's a small plant.
See you soon for the harvest 😀
M.
As described on the site, it smells very good with a sweet scent of fruits and citrus.

MisterZ It's done! Well, it's a small, well-packed plant. The stretch lasted very little time and accelerated the flowering in 49 days. I think I made a mistake at the end of the growth. This plant smells really good. The scent isn't very strong, but I've never smelled before a mix of cannabis, yellow fruits, and citrus. It's amazing. Madame Jacqueline decapitated despite all her fragrance has been harvested. I put her to dry after a first trimming.
See you soon for a new adventure!
Great training
In my experience, it's worth waiting for the 5th and 6th nodes to be well-formed (when the 7th starts to appear) and then do the apical pruning below the 5th node.
The plant usually responds much faster to stress.
Amazing buds growmie 👌❤️ congratulations on your harvest and it’s pretty cool to see growers giving their buds time to finish and ripen completely 😍
Do you also harvest in between for a different high?
@@Yan420, thank you very much. Yes, they make beautiful buds. You can't see very well in the microscope photo, but actually, the maturity is already quite advanced. I wasn't cautious. I read 9.5 weeks of flowering on the website description. I found it well-matured and took out my microscope too late. It's been 49 days of flowering, which is exactly 7 weeks! Yet, this is not the fast version.
@MisterZ, 7 weeks is extremely fast for this degree of ripeness 👌
I didn’t look at how many weeks you were flowering to be honest, but I was definitely not expecting 7 weeks only 😮❤️👌
