Hi there,
This week we were able to observe the last weeks of the gorillas' lives from a comfortable position. The only thing we had to watch was the development of the trichomes. Despite all our efforts to keep the humidity low unfortunately there was a rot on one bud on the most matured lady so we harvested her. Luckily we caught on time. Trichomes were fully milky.
The other three will take like one more week to be ready.
Buds are rock hard except for one which is more spongy yet solid with a sweet candy aroma. The rest has a ripen fruit basket smell with a hint of pine.
We continued watering with de-chlorinated tap water on PH 6.5.
The tent is adorned with beautiful autumn colours and the girls are less thirsty, which suggests that harvest time will come next week.
One pheno turned out deep purple, almost black which I had never before and she has a candied fruit smell with a spicy undertone.
Dimmed the light back to 70% and raised the airflow with an extra fan to avoid any further problems during this ripening period.
See you soon and happy growing!🌱👨🏻🌾
some smooth sailing maturating week- super
its quite rare to see ( read) that ppl dimm back and give more airflow- thats the right thing to do
for getting super chunky buds
happy chopping
hi mate, for first good luck and happy new journey!! may i ask you how do you dim your light and which distance do you keep from the plant during the first phase?
Hi @GrowerOG, Thanks a million, buddy.👊🏻 Since I've been using a par meter, my job is much easier. If you don't have one, just follow the manufacturer's recommendations and you ‘ll be fine.;) Which phase do you mean?
