Sour Jealousy Auto by Fast Buds
Ive got a new mix of Fast Buds seeds to slowly grow through!
Day 1 - Germination in Root Riot
Tent is 23-28 degrees, the root riot is under the humidity dome, light is 105cm from root riot, 100% intensity to create heat environment, 24 hours light
Day 2 - Germination has occured = 24 hours
Looked into the top of the root riot with magnification glass and there is a white taproot coming from the seed
Tent is 23-28 degrees, the root riot is under the humidity dome, light is 105cm from root riot, 100% intensity to create heat environment, 24 hours light
Keeping ventilation off to preserve heat and humidity
Day 3
Rooting in progress, in 2-3 days we will have a nice strong seedling
Tent is 23-28 degrees, the root riot is under the humidity dome, light is 105cm from root riot, 100% intensity to create heat environment, 24 hours light
Keeping ventilation off to preserve heat and humidity
Day 4
Rooting in Progress, you can see the taproot and stem about to arise from the Root Riot
Tent is 30 degrees with ventilation off to keep in the humidity and heat. Under the humidity dome (ikea lunchbox) it is 100% humidity and 30 degrees, this is to simulate the tropical environment cannabis loves to start in. 24 hours light right now
PH 6.0 Watering around the rocks 2x a day 20ml
Thanks for watching along, this is going to be a fun journey!
Day 5
Hello World
Tent is 30 degrees with ventilation off to keep in the humidity and heat, 24/7 light
Keeping humidity dome on for a while, humidity outside dome is 40%
PH 6.0 Watering around the rocks 2x a day 20ml.
DWC pool is full, PH 6.0 water, bottom of basket is 2 cm from water line, creating misty environment in the top gap. This ensures the roots will develop out of the basket and into the pool.
Day 6
Growing well, environment the same, top watering the rocks
Day 7
Growing very well, her leaves are out
This is a much larger netpot that I used to use, so roots wont hit the pool until a few more days
Im using smaller hydroton this time to avoid the roots from breaking the netpot so badly, but we will see
Day 8
PH 6.0 Water, 160ppm, growing well, PlantIT Aeros DWC is working nicely, the airstone and pump included are great.
topwatering rocks, 40ml 3x a day
Day 9
Growing well. 2x growth, topwatering rocks, 40ml 3x a day
Day 10
Roots are in the pool, about 4 of them. This setup takes 2-3 more days for the roots to hit the pool than my old bucket. The net pot is larger, about 2.5 times, and the rocks I am using are smaller as well. Ive had it take 15 days before, patience is the best thing in this stage.
6.0 PH water, 160ppm, no nutrients yet, topwatering rocks, 40ml 3x a day
Day 11
About 10 roots out of the netpot into the pool of 6.0 water
Still topwatering rocks to encourage more root growth outward
The humidity dome is still in place, humidity in the tent is only 40%, but under the dome its 100%.
Tomorrow she will get the first taste of nutrients. This grow I will be using half strength nutrients, as this plant is very sensitive to toxicity. Probably will start with 350ppm easy, but comprehensive, rooting blend. Im using T.A. organic and traditional nutrients in a blend I created several years ago.
Day 12
First day on nutrients, about 380ppm in the bucket.
Growth is very nice, posted a photo of the roots also
Day 13
This plant loves the light nutrient rooting blend
the humidity dome is off, the humidity in the box is 42% should be good for a desert like climate for a good sativa to grow
The silicate in the bucket has had time to settle in, ppm is 450 now that the silicate and other nutrients have blended properly, the silicate is powder so I make sure to dissolve what can be dissolved by stirring the pot vigorously for about 3 minutes. In later phases of the growth I will use a bottle to shake it in larger quantities. But for now, there is so little in there, best to just stir it in.
Day 14
All is well, the plant is exploding in growth the next 2 weeks will be exciting as she grows
Day 15
The growth is really great, nothing changing in the DWC, the Aeros DWC bucket is very nice, and with the larger port in the top, it makes PH testing much easier
PH holds strong 6.0, yellow on the GHE liquid analog tester. Never ever use electronic PH pens, they are garbage. I stick with the basic TA liquid test tube PH tester
Day 16
Incredible growth, she is becoming a very strong plant. The stem on this one will be very thick I can already tell.
The environment is perfect for DWC cannabis
Day 17
Growing very well, no changes in the environment, just growing along
Day 18 - GROW NUTRIENTS INTRODUCED
DWC Pool change to Growing blend. I will post the details of the blend next week. 650ppm
6.0 PH, yellow on the tester holding nicely with new 650ppm growing blend
This will be the growing ppms for the next 5 weeks
Day 19
650ppm in pool, PH 6.0, all is growing well
Day 20
Began leaf tucking around the new limbs that are forming. This way the little limb leaves get the most light on their surfaces, encouraging the limbs to grow upward
Day 21
End of a great growing week!
Keeping the PH at 6.0, yellow. 20 hours light, 40-50% humidity is working well
Day 22 - new week
Leaf Tucking has begun, branches are forming, female sex organs are here
Using 1/2 grow strength blend, 650ppm for full grow cycle
Fastbuds says this one is sensitive to too much nutrients
Day 23
Excellent Growth, leaf tucking every morning to bring the branches out.
PH stable at 6.0, colour yellow, she eats, her ppms are going down in the pool, tomorrow DWC change for same nutrients
Day 24
Growing very well, removed the first 4 leafs from the bottom, they are blocked, and no one wants any moisture buildup
Day 25 - DWC CHANGE
New DWC Pool, same nutrients installed. I made a mistake and filled with water that was too cold, a few leaves took some shock, but nothing bad. I removed them, and it opened up the bottom nicely and made room for my port to be accessible.
All is growing well, noticeable growth all over the plant
Day 26
Noticeable growth all over
The places where the cold water got to the leafs have turned yellow, but all new growth is fine. My water temps when it was too cold in DWC was 15 degrees. Once the water was up to 19 degrees everything was fine
PH locked solid at 6.0, yellow, new pools nutrients are going down. Will start recording the daily consumption next week.
Day 27
Extreme growth is occurring
Leaf tucking all of the large main stem fan leaves so the branches tops can see the light better
Day 28
More Extreme growth, the plant is becoming a nice bush. I am constantly Leaf Tucking for branch growth, and I have removed about 6 fan leafs total, all very large leafs that were covered by branches totally.
PH holds steady 6.0, yellow, PPMS are going down, 650 - 500, the blend is working well. The plant is drinking a nice amount, it looks like about 2 litres a day right now. I will track it closer next week.
The DWC will likely get changed a day or two sooner than last interval due to the rise in consumption.
Day 29
Growth is very rapid, the plant has become a nice ball shrub from the leaf tucking and training
DWC will get changed tomorrow, she is drinking alot, maybe 2L a day
PH nailed at 6.0, ppms start at 700 and go as low as 500 when about to change the pool
I will be careful with water temperature. It is very cold here already up in the mountains
Day 30
Growth is very nice. The DWC change went very well, and the plant is still loving the above nutrient mix. Remember to mix properly! Micro first, and really stir it in, then your others, stir them in very well, followed by your powder solution, stir it in very well, usually for 2-3 minutes in the bucket or 10L bottle.
I like the shape of the plant Ive trained with basic leaf tucking and defoliation
PH is solid steady at 6.0, yellow colour on the test
Day 31
Growth is extreme in every direction. all limbs are growing upward and outward
Still determining which training methods I will use for this one
Just leaf tucking now for the shape to form
Day 32
added 3L to the DWC, she is consuming nutrients really well... going in its ~680 ppm, testing 18 hours later, 400ppm
this is a very hungry plant!
still leaf tucking the main fan leafs for the branches to grow upward, is working very well
defoliated the under side of the plant, removed all 1st and 2nd limb node leafs and branches, they will only runt out and grow larf in the long run.
Day 33
Extreme growth after defoliation, added 2.5 Litres to the DWC, the plant is drinking 2-2.5 litres a day
uploaded video of the setup and plant
Day 34
Growing very well, expanding everywhere. I added 2 litres to the DWC.
Day 35
Growing well, performed some light LST on the lower limbs to expand a bit
Added 3 Litres to the DWC, this plant eats alot of nutrients
Day 36
LST complete yesterday, side branches are tied down
For this plant, I am letting it grow straight up like I grew Fastbuds Bruce Banner
This looks very much like Bruce Banner which is very exciting because Bruce Banner still remains tied with Pineapple Express for the most face melting autos ive ever grown
PPM are very low, I will be only tripart, there is enough Silicate sediment, and Cal Mag in the pool, leafs are very green
The plant is showing its female sex organs, and is approaching the flowering stage
Day 37
Expansive growth everywhere
The pool will be changed tomorro for pre-flowering nutrients
Day 38
Pre-flowering nutrients are installed, all is looking well
posted a video for the week
her leaves are very thick and mature. The leaves on the stem, the large fan leafs, have the hardest stems ive felt on an autoflower.
This is certainly a new generation of Autos from 2 years ago, the smell is becoming very nice
Day 39
I removed some more bottom brush from the plant, all those runt limbs that will only be larf are gone. I also removed one of the first limbs that was a runt.
This strain loves to be pruned, this is its 2nd bottom clear out and she always comes back with so much growth, now the top colas can all form nicely without the bottom waste
DWC very healthy, she is drinking about 3 litres a day right now
I am using a 1/2 strength pre-flower blend. It's the TA bottle measurements just cut in half. Ive purposely not let this one go above 800ppm due to Fastbuds advice that this one is particularly sensitive to nutrients.
Day 40
Growth explosion, everywhere has expanded
The leafs are very mature, slender Sativa traits
Uploaded some macro shots of the preflowers, they are very healthy
Day 41
Everything is going well, she is growing fast
Day 42
Huge increase in growth overnight, and she is drinking about 3 litres a day right now
This is thepreflower stretch phase
Day 43
Extreme growth, she is expanding all over
I gave her the final 6L of preflowering nutrients, and I think I will be changing over to the full flower blend. I will change and clean the DWC before.
PH solid yellow always, really great smell
Day 44
Expansion everywhere, main grew about 5cm overnight
the stretch is starting, her side limbs are reaching upward
she is growing very well
Day 45
Today she gets a huge haircut, 90% of those lower leafs and little larf branches were removed
Her bud sites are forming very well
She is consuming 3.5 litres a day right now
The foliar health is incredible, you will notice she is at her max for nutrients, 700ppm is the ceiling it looks like
Day 46
extreme expansion overnight after haircut
The resin is already growing on the sugar leafs
Day 47
The smell is so strong, I have never smelled something this strong from an auto in a tent before... smells like a photo grown outside
Flowering is starting very nicely, her bud pistils are shooting out everywhere wanting pollen.. not gonna happen, no pollen anywhere nearby!
PH dead on 6.0, yellow always
The bud sites are stretching, like fastbuds said in their write up, this one takes a bit longer to veg, but is worth it! I can tell because the resin smells like straight diesel fuel
Day 48
she is just exploding all over, her bud sites are doubling in size every day right now
the legs are stretching, its amazing to see, grew 6cm overnight, she is drinking more, almost 5 litres gone in a day
this is the most exciting part of the grow im my opinion, each day you can see real development. The resin is already growing so thick on this one.
Day 49
Whenever Fastbuds gives guidelines on their strains, I make sure to read Sebastian's write up every time, multiple times. They always include beneficial grow tips that are facts. The reason why this plant is growing exceptionally well is because of Fastbuds strain specific advice on the website.
Day 50
Smooth and steady here, nothing new to report other than she is growing everywhere
No changes to the environment, she is getting settled in nicely for the flower phase
Added 5L to the DWC, she is growing very well
the leafs are becoming covered in resin, the buds are growing fast becoming puffy
Day 51
extreme growth all over the plant, the resin is growing on the leafs and buds
the plant is consistently consuming nutrients
Day 52
uploaded macro pics of the resin growing
all is smooth, feeding steady flower blend and watching her explode
Day 53
expansion everywhere, the buds are growing rapidly
smell is intense, very pungent and also fruity, the resin is very sticky
Day 54
she is growing very rapidly
the bud sites are expanding and becoming very large
she is drinking alot, I keep forcing water into the DWC 5L at a time a day
Day 55
DWC change for fresh flower nutrients
she is consuming many nutrients
Day 56
the smell is very intense, my commercial carbon filter and extractor are having no issue with the smell
the buds are very dense here
Day 57
Growing very well. DWC change, 6.5 PH for the ending of flowering
this one will be done in about 20 more days, the new setup is working well for the one plant
The Aeros Plant It is nice, only 15 litres compared to my old 20 litre, I think this is better size as to not over grow the plant
Day 58
she consumed 6 litres in a day, incredible growth everywhere
this will be last week of flowering nutrients before the ripening/fruiting blend I will be using
PPMs in the pool are 700 and the plant seems to like it about there, it is craving phosphorus at the moment stacking resin on the buds
Day 59
the buds are expanding everywhere, the growth is immense
topping up the DWC daily until change happens end of this week. you want every root receptor to be covered in water for the most amount of time in this phase of flowering as she is uptaking everything at the moment.
Day 60
her buds have began to really explode, time to switch into the Ripening blend.
tomorrow I will let the DWC go dry, and then add the Ripen + Pro Bloom until the end of the grow
Day 61
Ripen blend installed, after 12 hours the smell has become much more intense. She is craving the Phosphorus right now.
drinking 5-6 litres a day during this fruiting phase, removed a few large fan leafs to allow for the light to penetrate deeper into the plant. The small lower bud sites are becoming enormous.
Day 62
Buds are swelling all over the plant, the resin is flowing big time. Removing a few fan leafs here and there to let more light deeper. The lower buds are so thick on this plant.
The smell is very intense, it looks like this one will finish as Fastbuds says 10-11 weeks. Great genetics!
Day 63
Finishing another week strong!
Day 64
really finishing up nicely, she is very thick
The ripening blend is doing its job, the leafs are starting their fade a bit
This strain loves DWC, super fast growth and development, thanks @Fast_Buds
Day 65
smooth and steady, she is up to drinking 6L a day now
buds are covered in trichomes
Day 66
trichomes are looking 90% white all over the side buds
continues to amaze me daily, with the 6L drinking
the buds are swelling up, i see a few pistils tips starting to turn pink
keeping the temps and the humidity low, 40% humidity
Day 67
temps low, 21, 40% humidity is causing massive terpene development, the buds are pouring out resin
captured a photo while lights were off
Day 68
She is finishing up nicely, changed the DWC for fresh ripening blend, this will be the last pool for the lady
The pistils are about 30% brown, trichomes are all white all over. Maybe 2-3 days left.
Day 69
The buds are maturing fast, we are in the harvest window. The colas are rock solid, and they are the most sticky ive ever grown from autoflower.
Pistils are about 50% pink/orange/brown - trichomes are all white, not seeing any clear.
adjusting to lights on 24x7, temperature is low, 20 degrees and ive got the humidity about 45% - time to overdrive and preserve terpenes with the low temps. easy for low temps here, its already -4 outside, my metal air intake hose is very cold drawing in air from outside.
Will likely chop the plant tomorrow or the next day, looking to be about perfect - these are next level genetics
Uploaded a video
Day 70
Finishing another week strong, she will likely be cut tomorrow, pistils about 50% pink orange brown
she is enjoying the 24/7 light and cold temps, the buds are getting more covered in resin glands/trichomes
Day 71
She is finishing up nicely. I suspect there are one or two more days left and I will cut her down. Pistils are 50% colored, and the trichome heads are all full and white.
Lights on 24 hours, cold temps for 48 hours now, the resin production is unreal, and the smell is the strongest ive ever smelled from an autoflower indoors.
Professor Bruce Bugbee from the University of Utah, space farming with NASA, shared very interesting research knowledge during a discussion I attended in the USA.
I have been using the new techniques I learned to grow even better Cannabis than I did before. I already grew top shelf killer buds, but with Professor Bugbee's techniques and advice if followed correctly will yield the best quality cannabis possible.
Day 72
Tomorrow will be her last day, she will be chopped after 96 hours of solid light, and sub 20 degrees temperatures. This is the strongest, most sticky, rock hard bud auto plant ive ever grown.
Uploaded some photos when I stopped the light for 3 minutes to capture photos, the buds are incredible! Thanks @Fast_Buds
Day 73
Chopped her down, and is dying at 50% humidity and 20 degrees.
Harvest is here!
Everything is trimmed and put away into Terplock bags to cure.
The plant dried in 12 days
There was 290g of nice buds, and 160g of perfect, frosty trim. The sugar leafs on this one are very nice!
I will provide a smoke report once they cure a bit.
Thanks for reading my diary.
- Swiss
Smoke Report:
A test of the weeklong cured buds are great, really nice and pungent! The strength is next level, very potent.
Thanks! Swiss
