The seeds were germinated in paper towels inside ziploc bags. The first Acapulco gold was slow so I germinated a second seed. Both germinated and I´ll keep the second one outside on the terrace.
So, when germinating, I started a few backup seeds in case my primary selection of strain seeds wouldn't germinate. The backups this time was a Northern Lights and an OG Kush. The OG Kush seed didn't germinate quickly, so I started a second seed as a backup for the backup.
All my primary seeds germinated so I don't need to plant the OG Kush seeds. I only had enough soil for 2 extra plants on my terrace, and I selected the Northern Lights and the second seed of Acapulco Gold. Such a legendary strain is worthy of being grown both indoors and outdoors.
However, the slow OG Kush seed is coming with double power now - it has 2 tap roots!!! I've never seen that before. I'd love to stick it into a pot, but I have no more soil.
Update:
The seed with the double tap roots was actually having twins. They are totally separated and grow independently. But one of them was very small to start with. So far I'm keeping them alive in a moist paper towel.
Second update:
Sadly Petite Wi-Fi didn't make the transition from a seed into a seedling. Her tap root grew very slowly, and she doesn't open her cotyledons. I planted one of the OG Kush backup seeds right next to her. If she doesn't recover I'll complete the grow with the OG Kush seedling instead.
Unfortunately Peyote wi-fi didn't make it, and OG Kush is now growing in its pot.
The others are doing ok, but I have some issues with the dimmer function of the light, and it's difficult to set it correctly.
We're at day 14 and 2 of the girls were ready to get topped today; Blackberry Moonrocks and Pink Kush. I topped them above node 4 and removed node 1.
OG Kush and Acapulco Gold are growing slowly and aren't ready to get topped yet. Acapulco Gold has funny leaf growth. The one I put on the terrace has hardly grown at all. They'll get topped as soon as they are big enough.
I´ve done a lot of training this week. I have also done some defoliation. Acapulco Gold and OG Kush are still quite small. Blackberry Moonrocks grows well and Pink Kush is growing really fat. I´ll let them veg for about another week.
The girls have started to grow fast. Pink Kush is the biggest of them and it´s time to start flowering. I jump started the flowering with 36 hours of darkness. Acapulco Gold and OG Kush is a bit smaller, but all plants are happy.
It has been one week since the switch to 12/12. I started the flowering with a 32 hour period in darkness.
I defoliate every second day and do a bit of LST.
The girls are doing great on filling the tent up. We´re at day 14 of flowering and they are stretching. Some grow a bit better than others but they are all doing very well.
Here are the heights:
Pink Kush: 65 cm
Blackberry Moonrocks: 47 cm
OG Kush: 37 cm
Acapulco Gold: 35 cm
They are spreading a lovely smell in the tent
The girls are doing very well. Now at day 21 of flowering. They have all been stretching all lot over the week. They grow heaps of leaves and I have defoliate every second day.
The tent now has a very lovely smell and I love to stick my head in there.
Heights:
Pink Kush: 80 cm
Blackberry Moonrocks: 58 cm
Acapulco Gold: 50 cm
OG Kush: 50 cm
We're at day 28 of flowering and all the ladies are very happy. I still defoliate every second day. Stretching has almost stopped. The smell in the tent is starting to get intense and delicious. All plants are frosting up nicely.
Heights:
Pink Kush: 84 cm
Acapulco Gold: 64 cm
Blackberry Moonrocks: 60 cm
OG Kush: 52 cm
The girls are super happy. I´ve been feeding them carefully not to burn them. The leaves look very healthy.
I am still defoliating every other day. Green growth will slow down and shortly the plants will not need any further defoliation.
The buds are starting to look juicy. They´re filling up with trichomes and the smell in the tent is powerful and delicious.
We´re at day 42 of flowering. The ladies are thriving. Already the buds are quite thick and frosty. I think we will see some fat buds at the end of flowering.
They all grow very differently, Pink Kush is big, Acapulco Gold is super stocky, Blackberry Moonrocks mid sized, and OG Kush quite small. They are all frosty and they smell amazing!
The girls are doing really well. We´re at day 50 of flowering and the buds are bulking up. Pink Kush is large and has massive buds. She is starting to show dark red colored leaves. Acapulco Gold is looking awesome. Blackberry Moonrocks and OG Kush also look great. They all have delicious smells, all different but all very good.
8 weeks now, day 57. The ladies are almost ready. Pink Kush is massive! All plants have beautiful buds. The smell in the tent is strong and absolutely delicious.
9 weeks and the ladies are starting to get ready. I will start harvesting this week. Blackberry Moonrocks and Pink Kush are about done so they'll go first.
She needed 65 days to finish flowering. She is very sticky to touch. The smell is so sweet and smells of fresh berries. I can´t wait to try the buds. She will be left hanging for about 3 weeks.
This is a very pretty plant with amazing colors. She went down on day 67 when the buds were ripe. The buds are very sticky and dense. She smells insane.
She will be left hanging to dry for about 3 weeks.
This week the Acapulco Gold has finished up nicely and the buds are really firm and fat. Her smell spreads and it is absolutely delicious. I am super curious about this strain and I can´t wait to try it. It will be left hanging to dry for about a week.
OG Kush needed 71 days of flowering before I wanted to take her down. This last week her buds have matured. They´ve got denser and full of trichomes. She will be left hanging to dry for about 3 weeks.
