On September 11th The seeds were germinated between moist kitchen roll and planted two days later in the stone wool cube saturated with pH 5 water. Just 4 days later, the plant had grown well out of the block and the first roots could be seen on the ground. On June 17th The seedling was then inserted into my newly built DWC system and the empty space in the plant basket was filled with clay balls. The nutrient solution was adjusted to pH 5,8 and the EC value of the tap water was increased to 1,1 with Cal/Mag and fertilizer. At the end of this week the first root tips reached the nutrient solution. Before that, there was top feeding twice a day with a syringe and nutrient solution from the reservoir.
@sanibelisl, correct. I've been growing for 15 years now. So I already have a bit more experience than my newbie status here suggests. I'm working on moving up further. Maybe I'll become a guru someday :)
Your training looks absolutely stunning. The plant looks like a ball haha. Also got Apple Fritter from RQS as Promo Seeds. Maybe next year I'll find the time to grow it!
@Superstuff, I am really happy to hear that you liked it so much and it pushed you to try the hydro thing. 💚💚💚
Its so rewarding and a little bit work to defoliate is not the end of the world. you got less other things to do and i think it would be a miracle if you fail after getting to this point. You got it and now you are "one of us" 😆
Just keep doing what you´re doing. 💪😁👍
@High_And_Hydro, Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks to your videos on YouTube, I got the idea to try Hydro. I was so impressed by your results that I wanted to give it a try. I've always grown in soil and the results there were okay. But Hydro is a completely different beast and my 60 x 60 is almost bursting.
So your praise is an accolade for me! I hope I can carry the plant through to harvest without making a serious mistake or getting mold.👍
