Natrona FBA2502 Welcome to my new journey into the world of FastBuds. So how did I get here you ask. First, I won the November Diary of the Month (DOTM) and got some cool pins and 4 packs of seeds I got to choose and a 3 seed pack of one of FastBuds new unnamed strains-FBA2502. Wait there’s more. DOTM December, I won that too. I won the FastBuds special box Christmas socks (yay), a hat and 5 packs of seeds also of my choice and a 5 pack of the same tester strain FBA2502. I wanted to see the full range of this new strain but have limited space to grow them at the same time. I kept 6 and gave 2 to my friend. PS her 2 seeds germinated also. So 8 out of 8 = 100% germination. I still make a lot of mistakes in growing and not knowing anything about what to expect regarding size, shape, hardiness and temperament testing these seeds gives me anxiety. Originally, my plan was to try topping and lst 3 of the seeds and let the others grow naturally with minor defoliation as needed. However, FastBuds wants pictures of the main cola in various phases of flower. Considering this, I will let them grow with either tucking leaves or minor defoliation so plant structure, height and disease resistance can be determined. All will be grown with identical nutrients. Thank you for joining me on this journey into the unknown. March 25 -I put 6 seeds in glass of filtered water with 7.5 ml Hydrogen Peroxide in a dark cabinet. Watered each pot with 2 liters of ph water to get the soil dampened. March 26 still floating March 27 9:15am I see little tails on all but one seed. Into the prepared final 3-gallon air pot. The soil is 40% Happy Frog, 40% Coast of Maine and 20% Mushroom compost. I added Dynomyco to the bottom 2/3 of the soil blend. I sterilized my long nose tweezers and carefully put them tail down into the soil. Dripped 15ml distilled water over the seed area and covered with a clear dome. March 28, a quick peek. Anything? And still I wait. March 29 Eureka 6 little heads popped out to greet me this morning. Stay tuned for more as we discover this new strain FBA2502. Your likes and comments are appreciated. Natrona FBA2502 Week 3 April 13-19 Veg 2 This week I introduced nutrients to the watering schedule. My planned feed schedule will be to feed, feed, water each week until the time to flush. , adjusting nutrients per the growth cycle. Hopefully this will keep from overfeeding and reduce salt build up in the soil. Nutrients: I will be using General Hydroponics Flora line at ½ feed rate and Cal mag throughout this grow. My tap water measures 8.3-8.5 so even after adding nutrients, I have to PH down my feed solution. Regarding nutrients, I’ve tried Fox Farm, TPS1, Plagron and now General Hydroponics. What I am looking for is organic, ease of use, minimal individual bottles that will yield large, dense sticky buds that hit hard in effect. Plants range in height from 5-7” except #1 which has been pinned to the soil. I will try wrapping her around the perimeter of the pot. Since she leaned over, I pinned her down and have been anchoring along the rim, twisting the stem so the node is on the side or top rather than underneath. I don’t think she likes training since the stems are a bit floppy. They are all still in veg, bushy with large indica leaves. I’ve been tucking the large leaves under the bud sites to give more light under the canopy. I’m tempted to top one of the bigger plants to have a comparison on resistance and final yield. This week I made a short video for each 2502 tester and a pic or 2. GH Flora Micro ½ tsp /gal Gro ½ tsp /gal Bloom ½ tsp /gal Fox CalMag ½ tsp /gal PPM 573 & 715 when I added Plagrons Royal Rush 4ml. Natrona FBA2502 Week 4 April 20-26 Veg 4 Highlights of this week: I defoliated the large fan leaves from the main stems. After defoliating, I saw that plant #3 has a short, tight node structure like plant #1, so I pinned her down before she goes into flowering. Plants 2, 4, 5, and 6 are taller than plants 1 and 3. The larger plants 2, 4, 5, 6 show pre flowers with thinner new growth and hairs at the nodes. The leaves are wide and thick. Some have a slight blue tinge. This makes me think I’m over feeding. Apparently, the blended soil has enough nutrients for the autos, so I don’t need to feed right now. At the end of the week, I watered with ph 6.5 water with cal mag and recharge. Lights are 20” from tops of tall plants and 30 from 1& 3. My general thought for the future grows is to wait until the plant is bigger and see its structure before starting training. #1 has many branches coming into the middle. By beginning with pinning and keeping it at the ground, she will not achieve the stretch around the pot. I pinned #3 to push out the bud sites from being up against the main stem. It is easier to LST when there is more space between the nodes, so a bit of growth or stretch is required. Training to open the top is needed when the plant is short and tight. If you want to follow what's happening with my other two FBA2502s see my friend's @Susquihanna diary. 4/20 Hairs on 2, 4, 5, 6 and feeding Micro ½ tsp/gal Gro ½ tsp/gal Bloom ½ tsp/gal CalMag 1 tsp/gal at full strength 4/21 pics & video 4/22 water only ph6.5. Natrona FBA2502 Week 5 April 27- May 3 FLOWER 1 4/ 26 I got a new phone a few weeks ago and have been experimenting with different settings and lighting. Pics and videos were taken at the beginning of the week. Defoliated and repined #1 & 3. #2 is always droopy. I’ve been having extremely high humidity issues and a few times I found a lake in the tent. The tent gets too hot, as high as 91f and at this point that sets up for disease. Fed bloom 2 TBSp /G 120ml Ph 5,9, PPm 555 temp 67.6F Sunday 27th I flipped the controller to flower since all but #1 have transitioned. She is behind at least a week because of all the training I’ve done. I’m setting the target VPD to 130-140. I added an air conditioner to the room and ran the duct into the lower vent of the tent aimed up into the center. Hopefully this will cool the tent down and help the humidity. I set the AC on low cool during the day and high cool at night. I’m hoping for colors from the phenos. I have no idea what to expect with these 2502 testers. We will see. 4/28 OMG my tall girls are very pale light green throughout. I purposely reduced feeding so not to overfeed which is my ongoing issue, and damn if I haven’t swung the other way. These plants require more nutrients than I have given them.as The shorter ones do not appear as pale. Increasing the ppm to 1320, PH 6.7, 66F Micro 4tsp Gro 4 tsp Bloom 4 tsp CalMag 4tsp 4/29 No improvement. 4/30 This feed I’m using the full recommended rate for 4 gal. Micro 20 ml Gro 20 ml Bloom 20 ml CalMag 30 ml Recharge 10ml 2 litrs each PH 6.5, PPM 1890, temp 69.7 5/2 First I moved the air conditioner duct to the top vent since it was blowing directly on two plants. As I mentioned above, I’ve had humidity issues. The humidifier warned that water was low. 10 messages and every time I checked it, it was full. AC infinity is shipping a new one now. I planned to take more photos today but had eye surgery yesterday and my eyes are now sensitive to light and watering. Plant #1 is in flower. Fed 2ltr Micro 20ml 4tsp in 4 gal Gro 10 ml 2 tsp in 4 gal Decreased Bloom 30ml 1.5 tsp/g Increased Cal mag 1 tsp/g PPM 1650, PH 6.5. temp 70.5F #1 7 Pinned #2 15” #3 11” Pinned #4 23” #5 23” #6 20” Your likes and comments are appreciated. Natrona FBA2502 Week 6 May 4 – 10 FLOWER 2 I fed twice this week as below but added 15ml Power buds since I have some left over. Micro 4tsp Gro 4 tsp Bloom 4 tsp CalMag 4tsp The power buds hold the ph stable as it took 1.5 tsp PH down to bring the ph to 6.8. I usually Ph to 6.5 or 6.6. but I didn’t want to chase my Ph. Natrona FBA2502 Plants 1-6 Week 7 May 11– 17 FLOWER 3 Nutrients : Micro 25 ml Gro 10 ml Bloom 30ml CalMag 30 ml Recharge 10ml Green sensation 16.5ml Power buds 7.5 ml 5/11 PH 6.56, PPM 1560, temp 69 2ltr each 5/12 PH 6.31, PPM 1120, temp 68 1 ltr each 5/14 PH 6.66, PPM 1280, temp 70 1 ltr each 5/15 PH 6.66, PPM 850, temp 72 1 ltr each 5/11 Defoliation, feed, pics & videos I made 4 gallons, used 3 to water then poured the runoff back into the rest in the bucket. The next feeding, I added a gallon of tap water to residual and ph to 6,31 temp 69 & PPm 1120. Did the same on 5/14 and 15 using up the remainder of the feed solution. I must monitor and control the tent environment manually. For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. I have been giving good reviews on the AC infinity system. However, during the time I’ve owned this tent (2 yrs), I had to replace the lights twice, fans, humidifier and now the vent twice also. Everything but the tent containment has been replaced. AC infinity does stand by their products, but they are in California, and it takes at least 2 weeks to receive the replacement. This is extremely frustrating at the critical transition to flower for my equipment to fail again. For the time being until a replacement arrives, I pulled the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3 and hooked it up. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This should create a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. I do have 3 circulating fans in the tent to move air around the plants. It looks like growth spurts have slowed and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All of them (6) are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. The tallest #4 &5 and #6 have very light leaves and appear nutrient deficient compared to the shorter phenotypes. Pictures taken later in the week show fading on a few the older leaves. All are receiving the same solution and are in the same soil blend. Moving the gals in and out of the tent for their glamor shots, I bent one limb and snapped another. The bent one I taped with a splint and the snapped one I medicated manuka honey and wired it back to the main stalk. Leaves look like sativa leaning. I hope FBA2502-2 is a good daytime. I’m getting excited to see what develops in the next month or so. News Break: I’ve been informed that 2502 is FastBuds New Frostbanger and is indica for nighttime. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a sativa to test because I really need a daytime strain. The 2 Blue Cheese plants I just grew are also nighttime. Upon opening the tent, a faint odor was detected, and some stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. Pictures of the puffy buds even show differences. #4 &5 buds hairs are different from the others being crinklier and the others are straighter. Some like #2 &5 are showing frost on the leaves. Wow at the beginning of flower to have that much frost. They are living up to the new strain’s name. I’ve noticed that when I water, sometimes water shoots out of the side holes I the air pots. I will pack the soil firmly into the sides for future runs. Measurements: #1 15” #2 20” #3 17” #4 30” #5 31” #6 24” Your likes and comments are appreciated. Thanks for stopping by. flowers are on their way, 😍👌 very good, purposely reduced feeding so not to overfeed is the way to go, Nat👊! those leafs will nevr turn green agian but this way u make sure it doesntr get worse .. GL🙏🙏🙏 mayb even just stop feeding all together for a week or so(flushing) helps, think mayb there is enough nutes in the soil for now, idk, u know best 😎👍

I'm also growing a Lemon Cherry Cookies that I plant to put outside later this week and it has the same leaf spots, not sure it's a nutrient issue as the other autos getting the same stuff are all perfectly fine. Hmmm...
