Introduction.
I decided to have a small break from growing this summer due to the area I grow in is almost impossible to control the environment during heat waves. I think it was a wise decision as the lung room has been around the 30c mark throughout most of the summer.
I have bought a replacement camera for my time-lapse videos as the other died.
This grow will consist of 2 photoperiod strains. Fastbuds Biscotti Gelato and Art Genetix Biaco Gelato.
Edit, the Biaco Gelatos didn't germinate so I replaced it with Pyramid seeds Gelato.
This diary is focusing on

Prepwork/Germination

25/8/25 (germination day 0)
π Everything is cleaned down. Ph pens need recalibration but need some fresh ph solutions. The weather has still been warm hitting 28c but I think I'll be fine to start getting germination going.
I'm going to go straight into the final pot because I may be going away which would coincide with the time they would need potting up.
Started soaking seed at 6.00pm
Started prepping the pot at 6.05pm
Filled pot with 12L of biobizz lightmix.
π§Watered with 2L water ph=7.0 and then 1L water with 5ml/L katana roots ph=6.3, very slight runoff, not enough to sample.
10.00pm placed seed in moist paper towel.
I'll check on it at some point tomorrow.

26/8/25 (germination day 1)
π5.00pm and the tap root has broken through the shell. So placed her into the 12L pot. Light is now on at a distance of 45cm from the soil set at 47.5W=20%, ppfd=162, dli=13.9@24hr.

9.30pm check, 3cm tall 42cm away from the light and cotyledons have almost split.

π 6.00pm Empty camera and set it to timelapse every 15 mins (4 an hour), camera turns off at 10.55pm and turns on at 5.05am.
I'm calling this day 0 for this one. The tent is going into 18/6 mode with tonight being the 1st day the light goes off.

The early cut tops got trimmed after 12 days of drying and got 41g, they were fine, nice tight buds, not massive buds but solid, getting a nice smell of them. The remainder of the plant got cut down on day 128, which was 8 days after i cut the tops, then dried for 13 days and trimmed and got 38g. That's a total of 79g.

Harvest report.
πWell what can I say, this is by far the nicest smoke I have ever had, the taste is phenomenal, its gelato with a spicy earthy after taste to it.
The smoke is quite a balanced high but very strong and kicks in quickly. I think its going to be a minimum THC of 25%.
Buds are super dense and sticky as hell.
She was relatively easy to grow, had slight issue over feeding at one point.
I have spent years trying to find a strain that I would class as my perfect smoke and I think I have found it. Will I grow it again? Definitely.
Would I recommend it? Yes. If anyone reads this report, go get some of these seeds and get them grown, I can say you shouldn't be disappointed by this strain, it's fire.
