Introduction.
I decided to have a small break from growing this summer due to the area I grow in is almost impossible to control the environment during heat waves. I think it was a wise decision as the lung room has been around the 30c mark throughout most of the summer.
I have bought a replacement camera for my time-lapse videos as the other died.
This grow will consist of 2 photoperiod strains. Fastbuds Biscotti Gelato and Art Genetix Biaco Gelato.
Edit, the Biaco Gelatos didn't germinate so I replaced it with Pyramid seeds Gelato.
This diary is focusing on

π 11.30am no sign of any of the Art Genetix seeds moving, so started soaking a Pyramid seeds Gelato as a backup.
8.15pm seed sank so placed it in paper towels. (Germination day 0)

This gelato has a couple of bends in the tap root and shell is still attached, but im going to call this day 0. I'm hoping she becomes a strong plant because at the moment it does look a little fragile.

π So 1 day into the grow and the 2 Art Gentix seeds hadn't germinated. Even if they do germinate its to late for them as that spot has now been taken up by this strain of Gelato by Pyramid seeds. The Gelato took 6 days to germinate
The backup seed has made it, she's going to be a week behind the other strain so I may veg this grow a little longer then planned. No sign of the original Art genetix seeds germinating 14 days from starting.

π The tops got cut this week as they were done and there was a chance of getting mold if I'd left them much longer, they are absolutely massive tops, very tightly spaced buds. I'm expecting this to be nice tight buds when dry. The rest of the plant will probably be ready to harvest part way through next week.

Harvest report.
This was my 1st grow with this breeder and I can say they did a stella job with this strain. Gelato has always been a good flavour and this one doesn't disappoint.
The smoke is quite a strong high for a Gelato. I think its going to be a minimum THC of 26%.
Buds are dense and have a nice colour to them.
She took 129 days from start to finish and I'm glad I picked this when it was obvious I had a batch of bad seeds from a different breeder.
She was easy to grow, had no major issue.
I would recommend this breeder and strain, especially if you like Gelato.
I look forward to trying some of this breeders other strains in the future.
